big fan of the two screens, ticker is a nice touch for scheduled/streamed events as well, you've been killing it with the studio updates and pre-roll skits

Fallen Order could use some lightsaber dismemberment/weapon slicing to add more impact to the combat. It is a bit tame from what I have seen so far.
The combat looks good but it does feel to tamed
Hope they put a little more oomph to the impact but hey it's an alpha version, maybe in the coming months they add it in.

Yea atm the lightsabers create char effect while the ragdolls remain 100% intact. That's not how lightsabers work.

Lightsabers cauterize the area they cut. So a person doesn't bleed when struck.
fun fact, Saw Gerrera was first introduced in the clone wars series and then again on rebels and made it into Rogue one for a few minutes. First character to go from animated to live action. Still holding out hope for Ashoka to make it on the big screen.

For me it was as good as it possibly can be to follow both at same time.
Don't mean to sound jaded, but Fallen Order was a little underwhelming
i think its gonna be good but the section they showed had nothing that interesting going on, and the person playing wasnt that great at it
Well that's an understatement
It doesn't help that a good portion is fighting spiders, which when you think about it, seem like they're from another game altogether. I mean, it's basically starting an rpg and fighting giant rats.
What more can you possibly want? Don't mean to sound jaded but you sound entitled

Have you considered making it so the big window is the stream, and you guys are in the corners? When I watch this on my phone I gotta hold it real close to my face to see the gameplay haha. Regardless you guys are awesome! L&R.
You could watch the trailer,then watch the reaction video. That's the way we do it,because u will miss alot, if u just watch the react.
I'm pretty excited about this game. Hopefully, it turns out well and sells a lot. EA needs to see that people still want single player Star Wars games (and single player games in general).
Force Hammer Gaming // For a singleplayer game to sell well, it needs to be good and so far, this game looked very generic. The gameplay doesn’t look like it knows what it wants. It doesn’t go hack and slash like a God of War/Devil May Cry or a typical Souls game like Bloodborne/Sekiro. It goes somewhere in the middle and it doesn’t do it any favors.
Also, the environments were not interesting. Generic facility with enemies. Hope that level doesn’t last too long.
Animations, voice acting and music were decent. Not bad, but nothing special.

I dont know but for someone that love star wars' they would be like this game, just this game is one of the best game of 2019 for me.

Kelsey Maitland Same dude, I’m always skeptical of EA as they have some self-destructive practices that are confusing, but this game has got me hyped for Star Wars in a way I haven’t been in a while.

For the audio issues if we've got Allies in the wings on standby, could they go to another room to check Twitch, and then report back to Ian on what needs adjusted? Sounds like Chat was all over the place in their suggestions.

There are materials that are Lightsaber resistant. People wouldn't bother with armor if it didn't at least stop vibro weapons.

I'm kinda disappointed in the combat system so far
I wonder how complicated this would be if you add more different fighting styles
Some are all offense
Others are defensive masters
Others are force based
Others are light saber focused
I will say this
My idea for a star wars game goes like this
Let's say it takes place during the old republic era where there are thousands of jedi and hundreds of sith masters
Have it take place when the Sith lay siege to the jedi temple head quarters after luring most of the most power jedi masters away
And be able to play as anyone
A younger yoda,basic human,a wookie,ashoka tano race, darth mauls race,or customize him yourself
Jedi ceremonial robes or Sith War Armor
Add cybernetic upgrades like eyes or arms or even legs
You play one of the new force sensitives Being trained with a saber for the first time
You train against other recruits u can learn different fighting styles
When the sith attack the Temple a moral choice that tips you onto the path of being a Jedi by putting other lives before yours by fighting soliders who are attacking the weaker recruits
Earning a blue or green jedi lightsaber and ceremonial robes
Or you cut through the weaker recruits so you can make it out alive first
And kill a sith apprentice and take his armor and cloak
Earning a red lightsaber but taking a cyber upgrade as well
Either way you stumble upon a ship and even can choose whether you are a duel wielder with sabers
What color
And even what force abilities are available to use

trignite I disagree. I can go watch a full screen high resolution feed of the EA footage when I want to see all of the details I may have missed, but I don’t have any other way to watch the Allies.

That star wars game looked like a more refined force unleashed redo. Not saying it's bad but, not something I would get excited for. I believe that the comparison to Sekiro and Souls games isn't even accurate or a comparison that can be made. It does not showcase the same design styles in gameplay or affinity to difficulty or a struggle to fight through the enemies. It seems like the player character will be a "god" and the npc enemies will be fodder with variations. Even the droid they showed at the end, sure it might put up a small fight but, they didn't showcase more of the stinger. Respawn fell flat on this presentation and that sucks. Remaining cautious about this game.

@@alextownley9388 To each their own. I saw a completely linear demo of a guy using his lightsaber as a bat to whittle down enemy healthbars while using force powers to push over logs and grab ropes. And a robot buddy to push buttons. Looks like a solid T for Teen and 8.0/10. Hopefully tomorrow's showing at the Microsoft press conference is better.

Animations and AI in Fallen Order look terribly unfinished ... just like a lot of the parts in this game ... (enemies are not teaming up, just running one by one into you... no real challenge and variety between them)
I was hoping for a more Bloodborne/Sekiro like apporach to combat with a lot more challenging encounters
Also the lightsabercombat looks really off and none smooth ( like it is sometimes scripted ... it's not really impressive)Dismemberment is urgently needed in this game, because a lot of the "off feeling" combat is due to the lightsaber reacting strangely with the enemies and just leaving marks on their bodies (like a beatstick) ... have the feeling they want to have that PG rating.
Also somehow the game looks really linear and not "Dark Souls/Metroid inspired" like they are now saying in their marketing ... I guess they are using that phrase to get good publicity (after all these games are the pinnacle of Semi Open World hardcore Singleplayer games - and EA needs this game to be a success to regain trust )
This demo looks suspiciously rushed and unfinished ... they don't even show any progression system/other planets/larger enemies or bosses/other weapons ... and this game is due in 5 months
Compare this gameplaydemo to any of the PS4 Spiderman demos and you will realize how unfinished this game looks atm.
I'm really worried this game will not live up to standards set by games 20 years ago ... (Outcast, looking at you) and I'm preparing for an unfinished bummer game.
P.S: Did someone als find the Lightsaber look really strange (especially the way it glows) ... It sometimes looks like it is this Hasbro toy lightsaber, made out of a plastic tube with a light in it ... -.-

- Jedi Fallen Order mediocre at best (yea we are coming from low standards ... but man ... Outcast looks better than this)
- 30 min on APEX without some serious new stuff (no new map ... just one new Operator/Gun in months )
- FIFA ... yea ... that's that ... not a alot excitment in this game
- NO WORD ON ANTHEM (3 min in the whole show)
- 4 new maps for BF (a game they wasted their time on a Battle Royale mode and now they are trying to win back the players with new maps after HALF A YEAR without serious new content... even Battlefront 2 had more updates in that timefram)
-> So I can't understand you guys how this showing was "good" by EA ... they needed so much more after the last two years with their big failures with ANTHEM and Battlefront 2 and they brought ONE new game

Just Seems to be the most lack lustre E3 announcements i have seen so far. 1 new big budget game, one indie title, and a bunch of DLC for old games designed to push micro transactions. Pretty sad.
They're probably working on a few next gen games, and don't want to reveal them too early before the consoles themselves

EA E3 2019 - even less to show than Sony E3 2018~!
5 months till release and still _alpha?_ I code for a living, that's not at all enough time to bring rigorous alpha-level work to a full game - just debugging. It should've been well into _beta,_ so an alpha label felt suspicious (lawyered if not the actual game, me thinks). Also, if there's more to show, it should have been at EA's show - not at MS's or drip fed later.
Seemed bland and underwhelming imo, but we'll see. Crossing my fingers for a good game.
The build of the game was an alpha, the game itself is not in alpha.
It's a common practice to put on the alpha label to fool average gamer.
Yes, the game looks horrible and so saying it's Alpha and hiring some russian slave farm to spam TH-cam/Twitter about how great it is and that this is just in Alpha is all they can do for it at this point.
