Always love watching your reviews, and just the way you install the products is very professional. I would like to know if there is an easy way for the power supply cable to be installed without going the long way around to get to the power source of the car. Do you think there is a way to have it connected close by the mirror? maybe from the top center lightning? im sure there is a way that would make it easier to connect any camera system. If you think there is actually a way could you make a video about it?
Btw i asked you this question before since i own a 2019 pathfinder myself what did you think if its worth it to install a chrome side mirror cover and you said i should go for it well let me tell you i bought a pair and it looks amazing! Im also going to get me a flat type chromed out bug shield. I think its gonna look even nicer. You should definitely try it out it'll give your Pathfinder even better look.

Thank you for explaining the Parking Mode. Every other video I've seen of the M1 fails to mention that it runs off the internal battery and is in standby mode until it detects a collision. I just got the M1, not the Pro. Parking mode is definitely a key reason I bought it.

I'm currently in the market for a Dashcam and came across your channel. Great job on your review of the CRACHET 2.5K 12". The same model I was looking at and really like that you can play back video's on the unit, without removing the SD card. So my question is can the REXING M1 Pro play back videos on the unit or do you need to remove the SD card and put in a PC?

I’m have everything apart and done (for the most part. I have a question though. So I have a Sony like 10” head unit. In the back of that there is a purple (w/ white stripe) wire for a “reverse in”. Can I splice into it, connecting the red wire and the purple wire connecting the two and extend the red wire to a reverse light? Will this trigger it to come on for both when I put the car in park?
As always nice job. Though hard to consider this when there are better quality ones out there that have 2k/2k front/back cameras. Like the Akaso DL 12 that you reviewed for the same price. You should also consider reviewing the vantop 612t, it's comparable to the Akaso DL 12.

Excellent video. I have M1 Pro and the back cam streams in mirror image on the screen. Cars on the drivers side are displayed on passenger side. Very dangerous. Any help will be appreciated.

The should make it to fit in a spare fuse spot. You run the power cord past the fuse box or have it share a fuse. Than it would. It take up a charging spot in the car for chargers. If rexing reads this get a hold of me I’ll show you exactly what I mean.
Can I use the wolf hard wired kit for rexing? They used my ideal I just found it in the next video
Will this work on a 2013 VW convertible Beetle, I understand it will have to be installed by the license plate section versus the window due to being a convertible but my concern is will it work or will it need a smart kit, will it say that park feature will not engage, this is my question before purchasing. Have you ever come across a rearview mirror cam with these features that also can stream data to a phone -or- to cloud storage via cellular signal -or- to a discrete storage location in the car? I am thinking about encounters with criminals who might steal the entire unit in which case video would be lost. I sometimes drive in areas with such problems, both general criminality and unusually corrupt police.
I have this unit, park feature will not engage tells me I need the smart wire kit, there is no mention of this online for this model dashcam. Will the smart wire kit work with the M1 Pro?
Does it still record when you hit power and use it as a regular mirror?

Great video and very informative. I have a question. I currently have the Rexing M1 and when I try to use it as a regular mirror the image shakes even though I really can't see much movement with the unit itself. I drive a 2019 Honda Ridgeline and the ride is super smooth, this happens even on the smoothest roads. Does the M1 Pro have the same issue? I did double check the mounting and it is as tight as it can be.
I did not notice any shaking in the mirror image when I was testing it. The dashcam was tested in my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. Now because the dashcam is strapped to the factory mirror using rubber straps, any little vibration will be amplified through the mount to the mirror and onto the dashcam. When you are driving and if you see it vibrating, put your hand under the dashcam and see/feel if the vibration stops to see how much flex the entire assembly has.
@@dial2fast thanks for the reply, I will give your suggestion a try. I am hoping this camera fits better than the M1 which is 10" and my mirror is 10" as well. The M1 has a slider thing on the mirror so it sticks out, but I cannot flip my drivers side sun visor down fully...it's just a bad design.

the dash cams that uses battery are no good in hot weather .. you can find others that use Supercapacitor

With that dark of a tint, the video recording will be very dark at night.

There is a rechargeable battery inside the mirror.
Do any of these devices have "always on", "motion detection" or "time lapse"? parking recording mode?
Most of these will have impact detection for parking mode.
Are you using the Hilitchi T tap wire connecter for the rear camera instal?

The dashcam will always record both front and back once it's powered on.
Do you know of any company that makes a mirror dash cam for the front but a wireless for the rear?
No and most likely not anytime soon because the video signal need to stream wirelessly and record at the same time for an effective dashcam. If they do make it, it will be much more expensive. Also don't forget even a wireless camera need power. Depending on the car, it might be difficult finding ignition 12V at the back of the car.

Good question.
Yes it continues recording even if you turn off the LCD. The recording is determine by whether the ignition is on or off.

Sorry, but not pulling back any weather stripping. Concerned I may not be able to get it back in place to such an older model vehicle. Nor pulling apart the corner part.

@@cheynobi6602 I honestly think they are both identical, so what ever you can get for the cheaper price. They mostly come out of China from the same manufacturer, then resold under different brand names.

I have a Manual transmission car, would it still function the same? The reason I’m asking is because some of the rear view cameras don’t work the same with manual.
The mirror just need ignition 12v to power on. A manual car has ignition 12v when it starts so it will work fine.

Not possible. You will need to get either Thinkware or Blackvue dashcam to do that.

How easy to find and replace the battery?
Most of these internal batteries are not designed to be replaced by the user. It typically requires full disassembly if the unit and desoldering the battery.
Can I still use this even though my car has a camera for when I back out?
Seame to be a waste of money for you since you already have a car with these features.

Is the rear view camera anti-glare?
All mirror dashcams will have (some) glare on bright sunny day even if they claim antiglare.

I bought a Rexing M2. When I engage the blind spot and lane departure modes they make sounds that are not very intuitive. Also, at one point a chinese lady spoke in English but it was not very clear what she was saying. In the manual the sounds are not explained. Any ideas?

It’s TRASH! If and whenever the back camera cord pops out, the entire cam stops recording.
Tried to call in my warranty but alll I get is the run a round.

This product isn't well designed. Plug in at the top instead of the bottom... What can happen?
Can't stand them when they attach to the factory mirror. Looks so low budget !
