Great video. I'm considering getting this exact system and your review has helped greatly. It's about $100 here in the U.S. now. I thought that was a low price, and was concerned about the quality, but it looks pretty good. There's only one issue I have with your video. You're driving on the wrong side of the road! 😉😂
I'm interested in putting this in my Lexus NX but also in my state, windshield dashcams are not allowed although they're ubiquitous. Did I see you put this in the driver's side lower corner of your windshield and how is the view if it's pretty low down? Is the unit easy to remove if I'm concerned about someone stealing it while it's parked? Thanks for the vid and hopefully answering my questions.!
It is not a very good - cam it is a battery destroyer. If you unplug the power source, it will not retain date and time, thus rendering finding a video unworkable.
Mine keeps killing my battery. Even with the unit turned off. You can see a heat ring around it if there's frost on the windshield. That means it's eating power. If it sits long enough, your battery is dead. As I make this comment right now my Hood's up my battery is charging and I have totally unplugged this unit. I'm ready to throw it in the trash. I've had it for over a year.
I'll tell you all right now. This dash cam is a power suck. It will kill your battery in a matter of a few days if you don't run your car. You can turn the unit off. You can turn the recording off. You can turn the mic off. Dead battery. When there's frost on the windshield you can see a heat ring around the unit. That means it's eating power. If you unplug the unit directly, it will not retain the date and time. If it does not retain the date and time then you cannot find a video that you need. It's a useless unit. After about a year I'm taking it out of my car.
Oh no. Sorry to hear that, what a shame. Have you checked with them incase it’s a faulty unit? Surely it shouldn’t be designed to draw power like that?

Haha, I think you'll find that it's you that's on the wrong side 😂😂😂 Hope you like the camera Andy - seems like a great price. cheers, Jim
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru does it show the images in reverse then? 😂
Thank you sir. After researching, and watching other reviews. I decided to go get this dashcam.
👍
How do you see the video footage on a laptop or phone???
Use a phone app or use an SD card reader
Very good video quality imo, quite impressed with the rear camera tho. That Lexus look awesome Jim 😀
👍👍👍
Thanks for the review.
My pleasure!
super helpful thank you
Thanks
Great video Jim :)
Thanks mate, it seems about as popular as a bag of sick and an all you can eat buffet. Unfortunately.

I would get one from Amazon and just use their returns if it doesn’t work out for you. It’s a fair sized thing.
Could the rear camera be mounted in a position in front to record the spedometer?
Maybe
How was the set up with the app? We’re the videos, especially rear good at night?
I didn’t test either
thanks mate
You're welcome!
Awesome video very good dashcam
Thanks

Mine keeps falling off the windshield due to the heat 😑
Oh no, not a problem for us in England 🥲

@@dmelson7502 oh no I’m sorry to hear that! I am guessing you had it hot wired?
I was going to panic seeing the footage. I was waiting for a head on collision. But you Brits do drive on the left side of the road.
😂we do
