Somebody might assume I am just throwing a compliment because it is youtube but nothing could be further from the truth. This has got to be one of the best automotive show on youtube. The choice of cars is great, the guests are just wonderful personalities, and the best of all is the personal nature of the show and conversations. Don't know what to say, just love it and I would honestly put it on the same level as the Clarkson, May, Hammond Top Gear. so refreshing, thank you, Jodie.
The show really is perfectly named, Jodie brings an unaffected childlike wonder to every thing and person she encounters. While she is of course easy on the eyes it's her bright personality that makes her and the show so "lovely". Thanks for sharing your observations with the rest of the petrolheads Jodie.
David Gandy, you have made some great choices in that build. Excellent quality. That is a superb 356. Love the color and the interior. Well done, you are a great ambassador for UK restoration. You inform other peoples choices. Supporting our home grown craftsmen. Get it run in and join us for the Le mans Classic run. You are the man. Bring Jodie as well please.
Jodie, you have created one of the best and most unique channels on Automotive TH-cam.Your videos exhibit a love and admiration for classic cars and their owners. Please keep making the high-quality content.
Jodie as always this video is wonderful. The way you’ve choreographed the walk through the shop, and the way your cameramen captured it is phone phenomenal. And that’s all in addition to your wonderfully relationship based interviewing style. Just so good! Cheers!
Jodie the excitement and enthusiasm in your voice is worth watching alone, then add amazing guests and superlative motors and it’s perfect. The best car show around bar none.
My feet are getting wet! Bloody classic cars... I'm still smiling from this episode...it's just two great friends, tooling about in a great old car, gently discussing the love of cars, the memories they share and....stuff. It's just so charming and involving to be privy to. Sigh...thanks Jodie for another excellent episode...❤💯
being from the great state of Tennessee I hear deep Southern accents everyday however I must say with all honesty that listening to your accent is a breath of fresh air ! oh and your automotive videos are EXCELLENT 👍 ps. bonus points for the pink coat
Another great episode Jodie. I love the classic cars as they have so much more character than modern cars. Yes they can have things going wrong with them but that's part of the fun because if you love your car so much, especially if you've invested your money & time into it, you'll enjoy fixing it. Cars are meant to be driven not stood still. Great content & great interview Jodie, keep them coming, loving this channel more & more.
Great episode Jodie...some gorgeous cars! And David's Porsche is superb. Nice to hear you guys talking about your life, cars etc...life would be pretty dull if we didn't have these passions, cars, bikes, horses etc! I still get the same thrill heading out for a bike ride now as when I started many years ago. Great stuff!! Cheers, Steve 😊
What I love about this is the rain…so many people refuse to drive their love in anything but sunshine but seeing the 308 and 356 getting driven regardless of the weather brings me so much joy… well done another great episode
Sandy Evangelisti. I am one of those people. I will not take my classic cars out when it is raining. I won't take them out when it is wet either. I don't think cars like that should be driven in inclement weather. Sorry to disappoint you, but that's just how I feel.
I finally got to watch this episode of KiaSS and realized that it's like being invited to a small intimate dinner party Jodie, it's a great formula and you do it so well. I enjoyed David's comments regarding designers and their cars and watches (so true). Looking forward to the next.
The thing I love about classic cars is their elegant design. They look like someone *really* cared about creating something, timeless, beautiful… With rare exception today’s cars’ looks range from ugly through boring to tacky. That said, having learned to drive on a basic car in the 60s, I do appreciate things like power steering, brakes that don’t lockup in the wet, de-misters and air conditioning. Once again thank you Jodie for an excellent episode.
What I enjoyed about this episode was not just listening to the ‘shop talk of building/remolding’ classic cars but it was nice to see two old friends 🫂actually (in each other’s presence) & enjoying a day indulging in their passion/fun time! As a world we’ve been so separated/distant from one another…..🤝
Two amazingly sincere people having an amazing time chatting bonding making memories. What a beautiful friendship you kind hearted lot have. Thank you for bringing us for the ride. Sending you light and blessings.
The beauty of classic cars is their optical simplicity. You can see how they work , or not work as is sometimes the case , but it gives you a wonderful feeling of achievement when you have fixed it yourself , and I think it’s partly that which gives that “Bond” to your own car, when with a modern it can be so remote. People often buy them as a connection to past or present family memories too , which very much also strengthens that “Bond “ . . My favourite cars are from the 1970s , which coincides with my music tastes, during my teenage years. Happy Days . Nice vid again, Jodie
Great video Jodie. David always comes across as such a humble guy, when he could so easily be a complete prima donna given his looks and position. I am glad that he loves his cars enough for insane detail (even has a built-in shower Jodie)....the world needs insane petrolheads especially now with so much misery in the world. Love the vetting process for the buyers of his 190 too...epic! 356's kinda passed me by, never really 'got them', but this one does really look good. A friend of mine did the London-Sydney in his, with zero mechanical issues. Awesome.
MY DEAR, lovely made, underlined sensitive Music, no harsh Picture moves, mellow conversation, incredible knowledge about the presented Cars. Well done!!!!
Love all the cars at Classic Performance Engineering. The Allard J2 is a very rare car today, normally fitted with a V8 Mercury or V8 Ford engine quite an hairy car in the 1950’s. A Cadillac V8 was often installed in various Allard’s to give a bit more punch. A great video as usual, thanks Jodie.
Another fantastic episode! Amazing how the classics can still hold their own up to modern designs/styles. I guess class never goes out of fashion. 👍 🇿🇦
The car is a beautiful personalized 356. My first Porsche was 1965 356SC but no wear near as nice as this one it looks like yours is like mine with no access to gas tank from outside. I had to open the trunk to access the gas tank, well done, well done Dave.
First things first complimentary wise - your sweater and the coat looks great! I've mentioned before that I lived in my own world - but, as you and Mr. Gandy were driving along I thought, "Gosh, this man could be a model too." And then you mentioned his career. . . real life rarely reached my world. I had to laugh at my "out of touch-ness". . . again. Great stories. Great car. Great show! And true heartfelt laughter from real conversation. I can see how you and Mr. Gandy drove one thousand miles together. If we only had footage of the conversations from that ride! Very enjoyable episode. Thanks for sharing.
@@KiddinaSweetShop I know you know Nick Mason. This is a long shot. Saw that PF is doing something for Ukraine. Please introduce Vkgoeswild to him. Hi Jodie … that old Porsche was so beautiful don’t think I’ve ever even seen one as old as that , and an extremely good year I might add ( say no more lol ) I absolutely love and look forward to your interviews and the beautiful cars thank you for another fantastic upload really enjoyed it .
Really enjoyed this episode, not just for the beautiful 356. That car turned out really nice, but it looks like the frunk isn't closed properly in some of the shots. Makes me want to get a nice piece of luggage for the rack of my 356 roadster
Love the fact that David named a couple of his cars after his daughters and why would he want to sell those two cars anyway? Love his Porsche 356 C but I would never drive it in the rain. Thank you Jodie for another well-done video featuring some amazing classics and another friend with a delightful personality.
