I prefer to use my cream like butter, so on the scone first. with a small amount of jam on top, as I don’t care for the sweetness of jam. Will anyone die if I like to eat my food the way _i_ prefer?
@@weirdwestcountry8646 It is totally etiquette. I work with a few people who put the milk in first - you can tell when you drink it and it is indeed disgusting.
I have friends from Devon, and friends from Cornwall, so one scone has jam first the other cream first. The big problem, is which to eat first. Life is so complicated.
Aww I wish there were more
Hi Glenn and thanks for the sub 😁 never fear, there's another episode in the works. Should be out next month! (That's me setting myself a deadline)
@@weirdwestcountry8646 Awesome! There's no where near enough interesting historical content on the West Country on TH-cam.

The comment about putting the milk in first has had me chuckling all day.
Thanks Mark! I had to get that in there... I'm not sure if it's even tea making etiquette, but it is disgusting 😂

Devon invented the cream tea (and the pasty) the Cornish just stole the recipe but read it upside down.
I'm Australian but my family come from Western Devon near the Cornish border.
