    You are so cute! I loved the little "monster" you used to represent the bacteria. If you ever get tired of doing cooking shows, you could always go into educational shows for kids. :)

    For someone who's in America, creme fraiche is hard to find and pretty expensive, I would love it if you made a video showing us how to make it. Thanks Raiza!

      +TheKpopEra Combine 1 cup whipping cream and 2 tablespoons unpasteurized buttermilk in a glass container. Cover and let stand at room temperature (about 70°F) from 8 to 24 hours, or until very thick. Stir well before covering and refrigerate up to 10 days.

    While this video was very informative and entertaining, it should be known that "mascarpone" is pronounced as [mah-skahr-POH-neh] (based in U.S. English pronunciation breakdown of the Italian word). So, the word is pronounced with four syllables, not three. Nevertheless, thank you for this video. I love your channel e eu gosto muito do seu blog :). Beijinhos!

    • @L_Bocua
      @L_Bocua 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, when you're in Italy. But not when you're talking in English. In my country, buttermilk is pronounced as "karnemelk". So, there you go!

    • @chiaraippoliti
      @chiaraippoliti 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I completely disagree. Mascarpone comes from Italy, so you should pronounce it correctly based on the way it is pronounced in the country of its origin. Have a nice day.

    • @L_Bocua
      @L_Bocua 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True, but that's very difficult for non-natives. You should hear Italians pronounce 'hamburger'!

    • @chiaraippoliti
      @chiaraippoliti 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Then we should put in a bit of effort when we pronounce words originating from countries not our own, and I have been dating an Italian for almost 2 years so I know how Italians pronounce "hamburger". Have a great day! :)

    • @L_Bocua
      @L_Bocua 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I guess I don't really care about these minor things, because I'm used to nobody being able to pronounce anything from my language. It's very difficult for people to lose their accent. To me, it's all tomato, tomato. Luckily, we are not talking about a Chinese dish here! Have a great day too!

    What the difference between Philadelphia Cream Cheese and Italian Mascarpone?

    • @buzzymm
      @buzzymm 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +EH CBunny cream cheese is manufactured by adding lactic acid bacteria to cream and fermenting to ripeness and then heating to kill the bacteria once the cheese is mature. Mascarpone cheese is made from cream coagulated with either citric or tartaric acid.

      Hi, as she explains in the video, when you churn or whip the cream for a long time it will breakdown and become Butter. But if you stop whipping earlier you will have whipped cream also known chantilli.

    • @DulceDelight
      @DulceDelight  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sentrinoable Whipped cream is the same as heavy cream. Some brands make a different fat percentage for each but the difference is so slightly that both could be considered the same ;)

    Why do you wag your finger at buttermilk and not skimmed? Butter milk may be a by product but then so is whey... when not pasteurized buttermilk and whey have billions of probiotics! Not all by products are not necessarily bad... Skimmed however has been stripped of its nutrients and used to be consider trash unlike buttermilk and whey... Butter milk is considered one of the healthiest dairy products on the market, you should do some fact checking!
    Sim milk is the WATER content left over from skimming the fat from the milk!
    basically by your logic all dairy products are by product of the separation of fat from the whole milk during pasteurization meaning if you not drinking from the cow you are drinking / eating a by product.
    separate fat from whole milk byproduct = milk and butter
    separate fat and solids from milk byproduct = skimmed milk
    boil the milk to make curds and whey ( cottage cheese )
    separate curds from whey and you get cheese...
    add bacteria to milk byproduct = cheese, yogurt, sour cream
    separate whey from yogurt = cheese, greek yogurt etc.
    the list goes on... this is how dairy work... all dairy is a byproduct of feeding cows grass...
