@samgraef3028 I remember hearing Marc Maron talk about how he interviewed Fincher for about 3 hrs, and at the end of it Fincher said not to release it. I guess we just have to take what we can get.
@ I heard that too; I’m dying for that interview to come out. I consider any Fincher content to be like sacred treasure, especially as an aspiring filmmaker.
I really, really want Fincher to do another season of Mindhunter. It still guts me that we didn't get his Millennium trilogy. Please give us a conclusion to Mindhunter.
"The movie never changes, it can't change but everytime you see it, it seems different because you're different..." Bruce Willis in "12 Monkeys" released in 1995. This isn't an original concept from Fincher but cool that he recognizes the very intutive concept.
fincher needs a spark. for so long he has been pushing and dragging the art of cinema. he is not lazy he is an artist. im excited that he is hungry and is on the verge of going all in or all out. please please i hope he does something for a franchise on pop culture.
I got the sense when he talked about Mindhunter that the process had become a real drag. Interference from Netflix maybe? I dunno. I think if he does pick it back up again it'll have to go to Apple or Hulu or some other major streamer and that he'll have to have an Orson Welles-esque total creative control contract.
Well, now we know why is so much delays. A lot of perfeccionism for sure if he did one more ep. And this is good. Very good! Bad Travelling is in my Top 10 LD+R eps.
Fight club 2 pitch : Ed Norton and Brad Pitt back on screen Tyler Durden older but still cool and better looking than the narrator, the narrator had a baby with Marla but she died giving birth and the daughter played by ( Jenna Ortega) meets... Tyler Durden and convinces her to help him bring back project mayhem 🔥
For some reason I'm reminded of that scene where the narrator is talking to the two guys in the diner who think that Tyler has facial reconstructive surgery every three years.
I love Se7en...but I do not believe that ALL of John Doe's notebooks were fully realized -- that every page was written as if Doe had filled each page. This has been an exaggeration.
@mackychloe Detective Somerset is reading from a notebook, so perhaps that particular notebook is filled with some of Doe's writings...but all of the other notebooks in the background -- the HUNDREDS of other notebooks...? If they were indeed filled with Doe's writings, then why were they not sold as collector's items? Why were they not published in some other form...? Over the top is right.
@@jeffcarlin5866 Within the theme of the film I think Doe's writings would eventually become collectable. It's the actual film making angle that bothered me. it came across like the film makers were trying too hard to make Doe sound truly nuts.... when it wasn't necessary.
Ifs funny how well his movies are that there are different opinions. I say Gone Girl and Social Network are two of his best works. But I did see Seven in the theatre in 95 and this blew me away. Never saw the ending coming. That’s what makes going to the movies fun. With that I would disagree that Seven is overrated.
The Game is better than it has any right to be purely because Fincher directed it, but let's not kid ourselves, as a high concept thriller it's utterly preposterous. To even pretend that it is better than Seven in order to try and be the "cool contrarian" in a YT comment section is douchebaggery of the highest order.
Really cool that he sounded willing to continue the conversation at the end. He seems like a very chill and fun dude to have a conversation with

It’s really cool that Fincher isn’t burned out talking about this movie in this day and age. He could easily be sick of it.
So stoked that Sean was able to have a conversation with one of his favorite directors in David Fincher. Truly one of the greats
Fincher's always such a cool interview.
I would love a longer interview with Sean, Jake Hamilton, and Kevin Mccarthy.❤❤❤❤🙏🙏 I'm still super grateful for this interview.

Great interview and a great insight from fincher
he’s done some of the finest music videos that I grew up with
Oh yeah. For me it's Vogue by Madonna and Who is it by Michael Jackson.
There NEEDS to be a video version of this!
Fincher, please release your future films in the theater. None of this netflix crap. Thanks!

I’m celebrating 20 years of sobriety by going to the anniversary screening tomorrow. Can’t wait to watch it on the big screen for the first time.
Cheers, have one for me
My friend cried at the end and had a total existential crisis lol 😅

Damn, no video interview? Shame.
Fincher pretty much never does on camera interviews
Sounds like he did another ep of love death and robots
Hope so

Terrible questions. You get David Fincher and you’re asking him to confirm stuff from the IMDb trivia page?? Embarrassing.

Seven is amazing. Fincher's entire body of work is fantastic. A few minor let downs, but he's one of the best in the biz.
