My VT Castings Grill has just flatlined after 25 years. Many delicious meals cooked on it. Very similar to yours the inside rusted out and it's no longer safe when lite up. Thanks to your video, I am going to look to repurpose it to charcoal grill. I agree with Rob K., a brillent use of barrel section.

Thanks for watching!
Absolutely brilliant use and fit of the barrel section. I'm impressed!
Wow, great job. The V-notches to make it sit flat against the walls is a great idea. I have been wanting to do this with my propane grill.
Glad it was helpful!
Going to do the same to an old Vermont Casting propane grill. Great video!! 👍
Nice. I apologize if I sound pushing but have you done a follow up cool video?
Nice, informative and instructive video. How did it work for wood fires? Do you still use it?
No, we gave it to someone who could use it more than us.
What about your ventilation for the smoke or your damper to control your temperature
Thank you very much. My husband has a gas grill that is not working and it looks brand new. I didn’t want to just throw it away. 😊
Thank You for the Inspiration June 2024.
I'm doing this propane went up! My grill is old so why not!
Note of caution regarding hot cutting drums. Potentially explosive situation to be aware of if using this technique.
👍🏻
The perfect ending would of been you cooking a steak on it.
how tf did it turn blue?
It was always blue, the first clip it was dusty and in the shade.
You do realize you cut up a better option for a bbq in that barrel than your actual grill.
Good job though.
Now cook somthin!
