Its not easy to leave it out when coming to this segment, the fuel consumption in here is much better at least thats one thing it will take over the Chery. It honestly still looks the part, Ford's refresh strategy has been working well for them. You should have just watched the video🤣😭. My team is giving me stress, that football was not enterprising at all. I am worried now but we will recover in due course🤞🏾😝

The fact that the led low beam are high I feel is goood enough so don’t really need the high beam to be led. I think led globes for vehicles might be expensive hence they removed fitting them to other parts of the vehicle. The engine is noisy for a small capacity turbo but I guess that’s standard affair.. honestly the vehicle doesn’t seem to be good competition for it’s competitors..probably the duster is way better all rounder and most likely cheaper? Why isn’t ford making the eco sport more capable off-road? Perhaps some 4x4 capability might make it better contender also remember people are buying cars irrespective of cost so they might as well go all out..tell ford to consider that. Thanks Sebuwa🙃👏🏻😀
What an analysis Ozem.🥲! Actually on the normal beam headlights, I even had to take them down a bit at some point as people thought I was on bright despite showing that there is still bright. I think the lights are the same in the Trend which this one is based on. I felt that the engine is actually quiter than most small capacity engines, the last time I drove the ecoboost 1.0 was back in 2017 and it was a bit loud in the Fiesta and in here it felt smoother (for example compare this to the engine noise in the Taigo, the Taigo was rough, same as the i20). It does sound uncomfortable on the high rev overtake moments otherwise I thought its quite smooth. Overall, I think Ford could not run away from the age of the car with some features not being there in here compared to other cars in the segment, back then the tech was still expensive and Ford merely updated the looks of an already existing product like they did with the Ranger and Everest. The stratey has been working so far seeing that people still take the designs as "new" cars despite lack of current tech in some instances. I agree with you on the offroad capability, it has all the right looks but its definitely not one to do rough terrains with all the time, in the detailed review I will be taking it to the gravel to talk about this, it does well but you can feel that you need to protect it a bit. @@sebuwam thanks Mate I actually love some of reviews where you don’t talk cause then we can see car for what it is..overall ford must be careful if they don’t give consumer what it wants it will be like fiesta and quietly get discontinued 🫢😲😀🤣otherwise, you right it is a punchy one litre though. Your in detail review just compare it price wise to duster and other competitors I think ford will stop this car eventually if they don’t keep up👌👌

Ford SA is yet to announce if it will eventually be discontinued but I have not seen anything about a whole new model entirely. I wish we had the Puma here as it would fit well in the segment but I think it is not here for the same reasons that Fiesta and Focus were not here. I still feel hard done with the Fiesta and Focus. EcoSport is loved in SA actually but I think this might be the last of it.🤔. Believe me, I also love quite reviews as the person can really look at the car without being pointed to look at it in a certain way. I will incorporate the comparisons in the review🙌🏾👌🏾🤜🏾

Looking at the fact that this is now the "first time buyer" segment where a lot of hatches have been replaced by small SUVs, this is one of those that really drives comfortably and probably one of the safest looking at the likes of Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Toyota Urban Cruiser, etc. I did more than 700km over the weekend, 1 way with 4 (including myself) adults, then returned with returned with 5 and a boot full of bags. It was impressive how this 1litre engine did both ways. Very impressive how power comes in as you press the accelerator. I can recommend this for long distance travel, not sure about the non-turbo 1.5L but this ecoboost is quite stunning. One of my best experiences with the 1.0L engine full of people in it. 👌🏾
I have to admit that the headlights of this car are the worst. I have watched many night pov videos on this car to reach this conclusion. The positioning of the headlights is wrong.

I was okay with them, until you have to put on high beams where it mixes the LED and halogens. Otherwise I did not find them to be way too low
