This is my all time favourite song of them all I’ve got this song in my head for over a decade anytime I think of DK and now finally my childhood is relived just hearing this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
At the "refrain" part with guitar, you put the "low bass" a bit later. I like it since at original always bothered me, it sounded like wrong. Well done. That also borns the hypothesis that this was the original synthesis and transfered wrong to the game code by typo.
sooo i pulled up the old version and the this new one made separate tabs placed one on my second screen synced them up and then listened to them at the same time.... then at about 0:50 of the video i listened to each one at a time to hear what was different. This is a very nice improvement!
Es increíble saber que en un cartucho de SNES pudo caer música tan definida como esta y muchas mas de la saga. david wise y el antiguo rare son algo que quizás no debió existir por lo perfecto que fue.
This song reminds me of Steve Hackett's Sierra Quemada. In particular the drums and the guitar with noticeable echo. I wonder if the composer took inspiration from there! -- Another excellent restoration! This is what mountains sound like :P
Intrigued by your comment, I decided to have a listen to Sierra Quemada, and, whoa, you're right! I bet there was inspiration taken. This track has so many aspects of Steve's piece that it would be almost too coincidental. They're both great for mountainside soundscapes.
This song is epic and I think it also ties with Cavern Caprice for playing in the most levels. A treatment well deserved. It plays in Krevice Kreepers, Kong Fused Cliffs, Ropey Rumpus, and Criss Kross Cliffs. The last of which is a secret level in the hidden final world.
This sounds simply amazing! There's just one thing bothering me: the better, higher quality version is frequently the extended version, which means that, if I were to put this song on a playlist, I would probably find myself having to skip them manually after just a couple loops. I think your channel and your viewers would benefit if you also posted a 2 to 3 minute version of every song you updated. If you look at the numbers in your channel, the shorter videos have more views, mainly because most people don't listen all they way through on the extended versions, and clicking away from a video halfway through makes them not get recommended as much. TL; DR; I really like your channel, and I would appreciate if you made shorter versions so I could put these in my private playlist without having to skip 'em all the time. Thanks for the attention and for these awesome restorations.
No I dont agree with this!! The longer the better ! That's why he puts up " extended " on the title . I love this extended versions and please never stop doing them this way
Are you saying when he extends these, he actually goes and fixes and refines the mix? Meaning the regular 2-3 minute original mix is now inferior because the extended got an extra pass on it?
@@stan254 Yes, that's exactly what he's saying. Best examples of this are : Lockjaw's Saga extended vs short and Disco Train extended vs short or even Fear Factory, take a listen.
the reason DKC 3 was half-baked was because Rare’s A-team was helping make games for the Nintendo 64, so this game was handled by the B-team, who weren’t involved with the previous 2 games
They did an excellent job with everything including the music unlike the Capcom B-Team that handled Megaman X2 & 3 The OSTs in those teams were nowhere near as good as the original Megaman X. The A-Team worked on X-Men Mutant Apocalypse and Megaman 7 after Megaman X that's why those games also have killer soundtracks.
I gotta say, this is quite good. One minor criticism I have, though, is that the note lengths are a little off sometimes. For example, the guitar solo notes seem to not taper off soon enough and touch a little too much. I would have probably had the guitar notes go 50-75% length instead of touching. You still did a great job though.
Compared to the original this isn't actually as good, mostly because of the lack of volume differentiation in the percussion in the beginning. Since every instrument has the same volume they all blend together and you don't get the strong contrast in the beat like the original provides.
this is nice music i love it. anyway what and who is kiddy kong? he's Dixie kong's cousin right? and what is he? cranky kong says kiddy is toddler? toddler? it means baby? right? he should've thoughtless and there are no nails yet then why he can take the adventure with dixie and he can fight with all enemies. he can lift drums and etc. i'm sorry i'm just confused! 😂😊
its still just an game, but yeah i'm confused too about kiddy kongs role in dkc, where get he come from? who is he? why is he so enourmes big? questions over questions. I don't like kiddy kong either as much of the dkc fanbase, but i think he is still a good charackter for the third game. And without him we don't have a controversial conversation about him ;)
In the donkey Kong country lore, Dixie Kong’s infant cousin Kiddy Kong has a really bad case of gigantism at a young age, so it kinda makes sense that he’s capable of going on adventures with Dixie as cousins to search for and rescue both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong no matter what any such thing about the gigantism riddled toddler ape proves quite the contrary
Someone else is doing it, but all from scratch. I will link the youtube channel to you asap. here is an example of their work th-cam.com/video/ZRe-VIQgGHY/w-d-xo.html
Still, easily, one of the best DK3 songs.
It’s the best one.
Along with Nuts and Bolts IMO
Also, the forest theme
it is. i blare this in my work truck lol

My favorite of DKC3 next to nuts and bolts, this one is a total bop so eager for when you finally get what you need for that one
