Piastri Drops HUGE BOMBSHELL on Norris & McLaren with SHOCKING STATEMENT!

- ▶︎▶︎ McLaren found themselves closer than they’ll ever be in the constructors’ championship behind Verstappen with just an 8-point margin between these two teams, but with the ultimate prize being the driver’s category, the team might have to resort to some team orders if they want to see one of their drivers snatch the 4th championship from Verstappen’s hands. Considering the fact that Norris is closer, it would be logical for the team to prefer him in the next 8 races - but with Piastri proving himself to be a tough nut to crack, is this the perfect scenario for intra-team battles and more importantly - will the toxic environment from 2007 return back to McLaren?

Ur buggin. Norris was given the lead at Hungary and was asked to give it back and didn't until there were 2 laps left and he did it in a way to make sure everyone saw he was giving Piastri the win. Ugly ugly ugly. Piastri put him in his place at Monza and I hope he continues to do so.

2 Things. Norris didn't pass Leclerc because of anything other than believing he was 2 stopping either. That's the reason. Not the fact Piastri was in front.
Secondly... I'm reminded of what Norris stance was when his own team-mate was in trouble. He said it was not his problem to help his team-mate. Now, he is very offended because his new team-mate is resisting to help. After he helped him a few times this season and the previous ne.

Oscar is not going to volunteer to move over, and neither would Lando, he only moved over because the team gave him those orders. McLaren did not tell Oscar to move over, so he didn't. If you want to have team orders, have them, but stop blaming the driver for racing his teammate when he'd told he's allowed to.
As for the bombshell, there wasn't one, unless you are suggesting Oscar farted and that counts as a bombshell.
What a load of crap. Lando didn’t deserve to keep the lead in Hungary. He was gifted that place by two undercuts from the team. Not only that but Landon has constantly been favored in terms of pit stop strategy and car upgrades.
If Norris is that good maybe he should just win the races with the best car. Max sure as hell does not need his team mate to win and he has a weaker car. Brown is no idiot, if he knifes Oscar he will leave and he has a higher potential.
Lando and Oscar are great drivers, Lando has had the edge of experience in F1. Oscar is now starting to show how fast he really can be and has out scored Lando for the second half of the season....I can see Lando moving from Mclaren.

Let these drivers get on with it as best as they can now that RB is not the dominant force it was at the beginning of the season.

They know best what is going on, HUGE BOMBSHELL, SHOCKING STATEMENT, CHEATING, BETRAYAL, 😂😂😂. They don’t even read it anymore. When I think about all these comments (also mine) it’s a bit stupid. Most of them are not serious conversations, but angry fans. It would be nice if we stop with all the stupid comments and be nice to each other. I also was part of it!! I will go for it.

I like Lando, sadly he is not ready to be a champion, he don't have what it takes. Piastri it's a champion in the making.
He is well good enough. I think his understanding at Monza was that there might be a bit more easing up at least on the first lap. I think McLaren were too big-headed and didn't anticipate Charles' one stopper

They both are young, both are good racers, both have a lot to learn ( all the young drivers do) both have good prospective. We will hear a lot more about them!! Just like Max and Charles and some other drivers. For all those young racers there are a lot of opportunities! I wish them all the best!!!

If it had not been for Piastri's turn 4 overtake, McLaren would like to have a 1, 2 finish. This is because Ferrari switched to a one stop because Charles had track position, this would have been unlikely if he had been behind both McLarens.
Didn't they have teams orders in Budapest, and had Lando let Oscar back by after a botched strategy call?
Yea, because they failed to do the correct strategy call in the clinch.

But the Driver Championship doesn't matter, that's not where the prize pool is, only the cost of license renewal.
And if Lando Norris isn't good enough to actually win it, then Lando shouldn't win it. So McLaren doesn't have a problem, Norris does in terms of actually be good enough to win it, as Oscar Piastri is showing himself being almost just as good.
there you go, how naive Norris was to give back the position to Piastri in the the Hungaro Ring GP, i hope if he loses the championship it be for 7 or less points, that would be a good lesson learned.
Do not forget he was threatened heavily "You will need the team. Remember about next year" etc.

See with how close lando is right now a 2 car team shouldn't be an option if McLaren wants to win the DC and the CC then they should let lando win every chance he gets cause if there playing off the "papaya rules" (fight clean no crashing) then it could cost McLaren both titles and give max and redbull racing a free run for both titles

@@ShaKYGT no one wants to be number 2. I do think the team orders in Hungary is controversial but rest of the time Piastri is a fantastic driver and deserves the spotlight.
History is filled with “good teammates” not getting recognised. I don’t blame Piastri for not trusting his debt will be repaid so he races as a racing driver should: to win.

Not really. Oscar raced lando like he was a red bull or Mercedes while lando is racing him like a teammate and given him more than enough space. The move that Oscar put on lando causing him to lose places is the same move lando could have made going into the chicane forcing piastri to slow down or worse, run him off the track. Lando is concerned with the team while oscar is only concerned about self.

I feel this is the start of mclarens down fall AGAIN it seems everytime they start doing good, management says no and does everything to stop it even with a good car and 2 good drivers

Piastri cares only about himself. He’s not a team driver, he’s an individual and will always be a driver that no one will want as a teammate. He would/will sabotage Lando’s chance (as we have seen) at the championship if he can.

If McLaren gave Oscar orders to not overtake in Monza he would have done exactly what they asked of him he has been fully handed the short straw all year there has been 6 races this year that McLaren have botch his chances of winning the race and is he had of got proper strategy he would be 100 points ahead of Max so I don’t understand why people can’t understand that winning is something that should be achieved by talent and ability to overtake and win the race on merit . Team orders only destroy driver these drivers are all out to win and Piastri does it on his ability for crying out load he won a race for McLaren before lando did this in my eyes says a lot Norris drove for McLaren for 4 years before Oscar came along and you would think that he would have e been the first to win a race but this wasn’t the case and ever since that day at Qatar lando has been struggling with the face that there is every chance that not to far away Oscar will be a better driver then him because let’s face it his race smarts a way further developed then Landos his single lap pace is only 1/10 th off lando and his tyre wear is as good as landos all this in just 38 races . It’s about time everyone just stopped with the whole he should be supporting lando bull crap because even when McLaren have given Lando every chance to win the race he has botched it these are not the signs of a championship driver . Imagine if they hadn’t of given Lando all these first pit opportunities he would probly be 4th or 5th in the championship and the one that they shouldn’t have gave him was hungry and he could have won but they pulled him up and gave Oscar the win witch he deserved having led for majority of the race and Lando getting the pit option twice over Oscar . So all in all just stop with the Oscar hating and just realise Landon isn’t ready to win a championship and peobly never will be you can’t get that much go your way with a team helping you out and not come away with the win
