vamp chicc I decided to sing With You from Ghost the Musical because I recently lost a friend to cancer and she was not only a friend but she was also my voice teacher and I know she would be super proud of me for auditioning whether I got in or not! This song will make me cry for sure.

I'm struggling trying to get to L.A. my budget isn't great rn just had another back surgery but my nerves are gonna kill me. But then I think to myself what do I have to lose. How far did u make it?
+Brandon Lofton I don't think so I didn't see anyone with one. You go in an empty room (like a convention room) and you can bring your instruments or speaker to play your music but I think they just want you to sing unplugged
Hey look it's ThePianoGirl Also I would like to say no matter what anyone says follow your dreams and passion :) the more consistent you are the more serious people will take you, especially auditing for big talent shows like AGT. I've tried out twice in my life for American Idol both times producers told me I was a great singer with a great voice but they want more confidence and out going people.. I just recently tried out for idol in August I flew all the way from California to Kentucky, I was so close to getting a golden ticket I had a front of the line pass so I got to go in front of everyone :p this time the producer told me I was a great singer and I had a great voice but she felt as if I wasn't confidence enough to go on with the competition so she told me to get more experience with performing she also told me to not give up and to come back :/ I was frustrated! I hope AGT is better.
thank you , you spoke very clear and true , yesterday i went to the AGT :D It was almost the way you said it , but they took us into the street out of the audition place for the tv ad and video shot . it was a good experience ! the producer was a man and a lady when we went into the room . they were nice and respectful , they let me talk a little about my self and then i sang and he said it was beautiful and it was nice ! and then they said in 2 to 3 weeks they will email us and let us know ! btw is it true they really email us back or what ?

They choose their favorites (not many!!!) And they tell you a date and time MONTHS LATER! for a staged audition where you get on TV and perform in front of an audience

this is the audition before the live on stage auditions. so its not like on tv, if they pick you then you get to go to the stage and audition by yourself in front of the judges. at this audition you perform in front of a producer in a room. i believe the next round will be the one you see on tv, but you have to get chosen
for example. i make a script fr stand up comedy perform in front of producer. get chosen , move to next round. i can perform the same thing again on stage in front of judges ....or i should do a new script ??
probably you could use the same script because no one would have heard it except the producer and a handful of people you auditioned with, and it doesn't get recorded

Can you bring a flash drive with your background music you can sing from?
i'm not sure. I have seen people bring their music on their phones which they can plug in to a speaker for you

I auditioned this year in January. sadly i didnt make it through because i was nervous but i will audition again this coming up year.

I’m honestly not sure, but I’ve never seen anyone bring a lyrics sheet with them. I would suggest memorizing your lyrics

Thanks I actually was out of there around 12:30pm, so it wasn't too bad. Of course every city is a bit different depending on the turnout

yes people come in all day long, but honestly it's best to get there as early as possible :)
