You really cannot consider her Syrian - she is considered to be much more Egyptian since she lived most of her life in Egypt. Egypt remain to be the BEST Country in the Middle-East for music, movies, theaters. Egyptian culture as a whole is extremely sophisticated than any other Middle-East countries.

Yes, in the case of Asmahan she left for Egypt from Syria at the age of 3 years old. You really cannot consider her Syrian - she is considered to be much more Egyptian since she lived most of her life in Egypt. Egypt remain to be the BEST Country in the Middle-East for music, movies, theaters. Egyptian culture as a whole is extremely sophisticated than any other Middle-East countries.

Ur not fair my dear coz u played a life concert to Om kelthom when she was an old lady although u admired her voice but the other singers such as Fayrouz and Asmahan their songs when they were young even it’s a studio recording (with all respect) that’s why Om kelthom in her life concerts much much better than studio recording songs .u must listen to her songs of 30/40/50/and beginning of 1960 she was unbelievable singer and no one singer on our planet earth can compete her .all the singers are stars but she was the planet 🌎 of the east and still .u need to study Om kelthom .worth the effort 👍
