They have never done that before except for special story leaders. I feel as if this is a nit pick on the Pokémon series as a whole. The game itself made a fantastic track for this occasion
@@NekoinaBox2000 It has nothing to do with the whole series. Gym battles in SWSH are taken so seriously that it's a sensational sports league. I just think variations would add even more flavor and character to the fights. I mean, you'd think the leaders would be endorsed to have such a thing. lol
@@EnvyMizuhashi I don't think it'd really be a good idea. Most of the gym leaders are kinda throwaway characters who don't really have much of a personality. I think designing a unique variation of this theme for every single gym leader would be really hard, considering how little you'd have to work with for some of the characters.

@@DRKLCNS1 I was getting at the fact that there is no elite 4 or team yell leader. I know marnie's brother technically is the yell leader but he doesn't have his own theme. He's surprisingly quiet for a rockstar singer. Lol.

I have listened to so many covers of the SwSh Gym Leader Battle theme and this one FAR outstrips the others. It sticks to the main theme and doesn't try to use the dynamic variances that occur based on the state of battle. This allows it to be its own cover with its own personality while staying true to the source material - 0:51-0:58 always gets me as such an EPIC part of this cover. Love it.
Having played the game, I wasn’t actually aware it changed- what are the changes it goes through?

This is my idea for a Bug-type leader- a man in his 50's who, despite never making it out of the Minor Leagues, never gave up on his precious Bug types. His team would consist of Dottler, Dwebble, and a G-MAX-capable Butterfree.
Also, fun fact- his name comes from the Old English word for "Beehive"!
