    Thank you for sharing. For my case, it just so happens that the pin that detects the water level is dirty and sort of wrapped in what seems to be algae, instead of corrosion as what you mentioned, was an easy fix for me as I just needed to remove that surface grime. Appreciate your videos and don't stop being you! 😊

      If you bought it yesterday, I'll be at 10 months ago now, I would have returned it immediately. Even if I can fix a brand new product, it's not up to me to fix something that should have worked in the first place.

      @@CliftonPhotographer did return it and got a full refund. Luckily for me they didn’t want me to send it back to them just cut the power cord shoot a picture and get the refund. I’d recommend leaving sitting on a table for 24 hours before taking it apart like I did

    I didn't want to take it apart and tried the reset button, holding down the Select size button. That only works if the Ice Full light is on, but no ice. I tried holding the Power button, then both it and Select at the same time. I still got the No Water light. I gave up, but forgot to unplug it. Later, I pushed the On button and it is working again.
    I don't know if that will work for anyone else, but you can try.

    • @inductivesoul
      @inductivesoul  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it doesn't pump water at all, it's likely that the water pump went bad, age or dry running can do this to even the best water pumps. You can try to buy and replace the pump, but I have not done so, and I don't know how hard it would be. Just be careful and don't mess with the thing when plugged in so you don't get zapped or worse.

    How did you get the top off to fix it?

    • @km4hr
      @km4hr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Take the back off. Do this removing screws on the bottom of the unit. Then remove 4 screws under the rim around the top. These screws hold the top on. You almost have to stand on your head to see them. They're vertical, with the threads facing up. Your screwdriver tip will be pointing up to remove them. The top will then come off but be careful not to break the wires that attach the keypad in the top the main unit.

    • @HBSuccess
      @HBSuccess ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@km4hr Not being able to easily get that top off is a huge design flaw IMO. My Igloo hangs up at the back of the mechanism (way in the back under that cover) because of hardness in the water... there's also that sensor... and the whole thing should be easily accessible so it can be cleaned weekly. What I have to do is shove white vinegar or lemon juice (more acidic, no foul vinegar flavor) saturated paper towels back underneath from the front to de-calcify (de-scale) the mechanism . I'm also having the water sensor issue which also requires access under the cover.

    • @km4hr
      @km4hr ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@HBSuccess I agree, these things are designed to fail. The refrigeration system is excellent but the plastic water/ice handling mechanism at the top of the unit is flimsy to say the least. Furthermore, parts are not available as far as I can tell. Landfills must be full of these things (and vacuum cleaners). I found two of these ice makers recently by the streets in my neighborhood. I fixed both of them with super glue.
