- One of the nicest collections in the UK. There are some huge Koi in this pond. All the Koi were bought from Quality Nishikigoi over the years, direct from Japan when we are on the buying trips. Some amazing stuff, One of the Kohaku's is over 90cm.
A massive credit to the owner who is an excellent Koi Keeper. Just being able to keep Koi in this condition is a huge achievement. Skills.
The pond is run on a Profi Combiner's 30. Via a bottom drain.
He also has a Clarity CL3 and a Bakki Shower.

When I was a teenager, I was all about my Piranha... now that I just turned 40, much prefer these absolutely gorgeous Koi!
It just doesn't get boring to watch especially an underwater shot in some quality water some absolutely beautiful fish!

Cracking Tim never stop making videos please !! I overlooked your channel for a while I don’t know why but it’s now one of my if not my favourite koi channels, that showa is mint my favourite variety, I think watching large koi is responsible for getting people hooked long before they realise the true cost of em 😂👍🏻

That was just amazing the size of those Kois and that pond Waooooo , i do have some small kois and am planning to build a nice size pond so they can grow but will be happy if one of mine get half or a third of the size of one of those Jumbo Kois.... great video there , now subscribed....

All i can say is wow simply beautiful pond and gorgeous fish. I've been looking into building a pond which is daunting in itself but I'm pretty sure i cannot ever have fish like that.those koi are exactly what i would want but look very expensive. I guess you never know!

Superb fish, lovely clear water, nice tidy pond and filter house, only 1 problem I could see the net was stored on the fence ideal for the night time fish watcher. You wouldn't lock your door and keep the key In the lock on the outside.

We install quite a few clarity units, very good.
Always funny to me seeing these people with $50,000 in filters and such .Me with my home made trickle filter for 6000 gallons and 20 year old koi.krystal clear water and salt once a year .never had a problem.oh and water changes twice a week.crazy!
Some people with money don't know what to do with it.

My kohaku is 98cm that’s jumbo.
I like a few good koi more than lots of regular koi. I have a 4000l salt water tank with 11 fish.
the water is still not the best but still nice area and nice fish👌

If we ever need to treat the Koi, we can pour any water down there from the bowls
Amazing!!!! It’s a shame more manufacturers don’t make sinking food.
Steven Lane most do, but sinking food isn’t good for enjoyment. Carp are natural bottom feeders and if you feed a lot of sinking then they will stay down the bottom and never come up!
People want to see the fish when they feed....

Do you know what he has edged the coping stones with?. I presume this is too stop the koi scratching themselves along the edges.

Koi's metabolism slows down in the winter and they go to sleep...basically nothing happens in the winter as long as you don't allow the pond to freeze solid.
What Is a rough running cost on something like your set up? Not the feeding side of things but the filtration & heating? Thank you very kindly :)
Not crazy. The pond is covered in winter. I reckon 1kw without the heater
