Well done on the video. The pond looks great and the garden is landscaped perfectly. For me the interview is the best part because it's interesting seeing why different people enjoy the hobby.
Thank you for this new koi channel, and a great kick-off with the first video👌🏼 Already one of my favorite koi channels. Can’t wait for the next video’s!
Very well shot, I love the B-roll footage with the drone and go pro its just what the koi industry is crying out for! Very carpy. Nice pond and set up too 👌 I can see this channel doing well. 👍
Thank you Ed, makes it worth putting the hours in on the computer when you get comments like this. This was my first video so hopefully will get better. wanted to try and be different. More of the same to come👌
In the koi world when we see a heat pump its not a swimming pool heater its a koi pond heater. 😂 stunning pond stunning koi. Just found your channel. Subbed. 👍
Just stumbled on your channel today really enjoyed the video and looking forward to your future ones👍 Btw that was a stunning pond and massive credit to the owner
I am currently own a basic pond which is in-ground the previous house owners mantience wasn't that great so we are planning to do some work such as adding a layer of bricks around the edge
Great new channel, would love to see more detail of your pond / fish, you look like you have some nice fish! Already subscribed and looking forward to future updates / videos.....
Thanks Patrick. A feature on the channel will be my diary so there will be regular updates of my pond. I’m going to get up to date with all the upgrades iv done since September and then do a full feature video when the covers come off in spring. plenty to catch up on 👌
Hi Jim, the water is pumped from the clean side of the drum. The system is on a timer and ran for a few hours a day. The water is first pushed through a sediment filter and then through the 40:40 RO Membrane and returned to the pond. The waste water is then pumped to a drain. Fresh water is then fed into the pond to replace the water that has peen pumped to waste via various chlorine filters. If your not on a water meter then a normal passive system is a much easier way to do it (this is what I use). I will soon be making a video to explain the benefits of running RO on a koi pond and will explain both methods. Cheers Frank 👍
@@thekoichannel264 aah got ya. You're a trickle in trickle out man. Thanks for getting back to me. I thought that was some way of further refining existing water via ro! 😁. I change 10 percent every fortnight via a 3 stage paper, carbon then coconut shell and sodium tnio if needed. Have to give my shower credit as the momatoro in that works wonders. That's how I keep protein and nitrates in check kinda. Great pond great fish. Fantastic work!
Nice video. Looking forward to naturally filtered Koi ponds with more organic shapes :) Aquascape leads the way here IMO. Am in the process of building a pretty large one with intake bay - skimmer and wetland filter. Greetings from Sweden, stay well!
If only I was that side of the pond 🇺🇸 would more than happy share your work tho. Really enjoyed watching big SHAQS aqua scape, attention to detail is second to none 👌

Beautiful pond. Seen it a few times on FB now. If you don't mind me saying, there's several fish flashing in there. Might be worth a look under the scope (although I do realise this was filmed some time ago.)
My koi are outside and alive every single winter for last 30 years in ice cold running water barely above freezing at 2 or 3 Celsius and NEVER EVER had a sick or dead koi. Koi are supposed to winter at bottom of pond sleeping all winter in Canada for 6 long months and they are all fine and swim around very hungry in spring and summer. Koi are cold water fish and ice cold water did not kill that koi. Your koi was probably put in shock from sudden temperature change when you moved it inside or was ready sick but cold water does not kill koi
The best filter in the world is a real marsh filter, top ponds all flow down into yellow flag marsh. Never have any problems and don't spend a fortune on mechanical filtration. My water is always crystal clear and free of debris. You can't beat mother nature. And my fish have been outside and alive in Canada since 1991. My two oldest koi are over 30 years old and they live very well in ice cold running water all winter. My fish live outside in water temperature barely above 0 Celsius. Never had a dead koi ever and never EVER had a sick koi as ice cold running water all winter keeps koi very healthy and fresh.
It's a great collection and the filtration is topnotch. However, for me personally, I like to look at Koi from the top view. They are so ugly seeing from the side because of their carp lineage. There are proper fish for sideviews, like Arowana, but for Koi you gotta watch them from high up. What I like about his water outlet is that it's not loud and he doesn't use an air pump for water. It really distracts viewing if you see bubbles everywhere. The amount of volume of water that he moves is sufficient, no air stone needed.
I have no idea what all the words were, not a clue about all the box thingies and pipe spaghetti shenanigans, but those fishies are adorable! Stunning colours and patterns, I have no idea what the difference is for them to have different names…so I shall call them fishies and I shall covet the pond from afar, depending on how far the fishies are from Devon…🤷♀️🫶
When man takes mother nature into a show case. It becomes rocket science project. Looking at the filter system and the pond I am completely amazed.
One of the beautiful above ground ponds ive seen on youtube. The space is super big for the fish to swim and grow. Truly inspirational 🙌

Prefer sunken ground organic pond which will give a better view of the beautiful kois bodies swimming from end to end during feeding
