    Thank you so much for this!! I watched so many useless videos trying to figure out what was wrong with my machine before I found yours! How on Earth you figured out this black magic is beyond me - but I am very THANKFUL you did!!!! Genius!

    You’ve saved my machine instantly !!! And just for anyone else reading like me who doesn’t have magnets around… the bottom of your old juul is very magnetic… stronger than my fridge magnet i place the juul against the disc and then back of the machine and it cleared straight away!!!

    I know this is over 3 years old but,OMG.I hadn't used my tassimo in a few months because I finally found the pods at my local Target.When i turned it on i got the red light,I figured the pump went,but I decided to look on TH-cam and see if there was an easy fix.Your video was the first one that popped up.I tried it and it WORKED! I did it a little differently though,I just attached a very thin but strong magnet to the floating magnet and. Voila! Thank you so much.

    Thank you sir. Saved me a lot of stress and money replacing a perfectly fine machine. I just taped a magnet to the back of the tassimo thin enough that the water reservoir still slides in. I’m hoping this may re-magnetise the original magnet too being in close proximity.

    I've almost took my Tassimo apart to troubleshoot this...
    Thanks for saving my time.
    TIP: you can find tiny cylindrical earth magnets at Staples/Home Depot/Lee Valley/etc. that you can incorporate inside the original floater. Just buy the smallest, drill a hole into the floater, put some glue and insert the earth magnet and you're good to go.

    Thank you! I was able to use a magnet for my refrigerator that I in plastic. I put part of the plastic bag underneath it to hold it up and it worked like a charm. So happy my machine didn't end up in a landfill.

    Thanks so much for putting this video out on TH-cam!! I'm on my 2nd Tassimo machine. Had that problem with the 1st one and then a friend gave me a new one as a gift! I now know exactly what to do to "fix" my machine - I'll likely remagnetize the original magnet just to keep things simple! I use a French press most of the time, but use the Tassimo on occasion.

    Your solution works perfectly. In fact what I did is take the puck shaped floating magnet out totally, and then used a very small magnet (from a tool socket) and merely taped it to the back of the inside of the main unit. I positioned it until the light when out and then shipping taped it in place. Works perfectly.

    Hi. Thanks for this post. Saved me chucking a fully working machine thinking it was broken. I used a small circular hobby magnet on the back of the original failing one and due to the design of the housing it fitted in the gap and allowed it to still move and float. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • @markej4801
    @markej4801 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Exactly my problem, exactly the fix needed! If the string (excuse me, floss) doesn't work, you can also simply glue the magnet in place with a bit of silicone glue. Works wonders. Thanks for the great vid!

    I tried your hack but I put the magnet in a baggie because I did not know if the magnet was food safe. I placed the magnet at the correct height in the container and shut the black bar into the baggie. It worked!! Thanks,

      I had the same concern and end up buying a k-cup water tank with the same size magnet to put in. It costed about 27 bucks though still cheaper than a new Tassimo one and the company won’t sell magnet only.

  • @fsltube7
    @fsltube7 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks, that's a brilliant solution. I got a small flat ferro magnet that I taped at the side of the water tank, centered at the black floatl; the blinking red light went away for good. Just have to watch now that there is always water inside.

  • @fullofwish

    Thanks man! I didn't have a magnet with holes to thread anything like dental floss through to fasten it, so I just left the original useless magnet at the bottom and positioned the new one above it, the old one isn't so useless now since it keeps it in place.Cheers!

    That may have been your first TH-cam but i am very grateful you made it. Do you have to worry about the positive or negative of the magnet? Our tassimo has been in storage and is about 8 years old the same as yours. We will have to find that small magnet 😊

  • @drannoc100
    @drannoc100 ปีที่แล้ว

    The company really should sell the magnet by itself instead of the whole water tank as better customer care. But given this reference, I got a cheaper one from k-cup tank with magnet that’s slightly low priced on Amazon and took the same size and better quality magnet out of that to use. It’s better quality as I realized the old one had a small button that easily could separate once poked out and the inside looked deteriorated. The new one is completely sealed in with plastic or silicon whatever material is but I trust it’s food grade safe.
