My thanks. This solved why my Tassimo had water but still said it needed a refill.

That may have been your first TH-cam but i am very grateful you made it. Do you have to worry about the positive or negative of the magnet? Our tassimo has been in storage and is about 8 years old the same as yours. We will have to find that small magnet 😊

Thank you! I was able to use a magnet for my refrigerator that I in plastic. I put part of the plastic bag underneath it to hold it up and it worked like a charm. So happy my machine didn't end up in a landfill.

Good hack. Fixed it by switching out the magnet with something from the fridge

Crazy 😑 I 6yrs on now ......things have changed i have tassimo fuzzy logic im new to tassimo they seem to like to make money out of us needlessly.......that magnet disk is in there for life so can u do that one ? It doesnt have the filter fitted it's quite basic but I'm impressed with it.....they want u to buy their descaler tabs, why ? Just use oust sachet and follow instructions another money spinner .....i even use filtered water into the machine so it shouldn't need a descale till it dies....but cleaning that nozzle is key if only it would come apart as demonstrated on you tube it's not that easy !

finnaly find out how to "repair" it ...thx alot, save me from buying new one, i stii have that original magnet but he didint stand there anymore, thx alot❤🎉

Don’t know what’s up with mine. Magnet is floating up and down with the water level. Have no circle in the back but could be as I’m in U.K. and euro models maybe don’t have that. But I think mine is busted.

great finally the "water detect" mechanism is based on the tab.... the missing peace of the puzzle on my machine because I tried to clean it up and removed the tab. "no water" led started and never returned..... thanks!

🎉🎉Well.... this was the solution I was looking for (for weeks off and on!)....I wonder how many Tassimo's have been binned due to this magnet issue AND how many have now been saved due to knowing this information!! I emailed Tassimo directly about 3 was ago, got told to phone customer svcs, gave up as never any answer, or if they actually did,I couldn't understand the person! 😮

The company really should sell the magnet by itself instead of the whole water tank as better customer care. But given this reference, I got a cheaper one from k-cup tank with magnet that’s slightly low priced on Amazon and took the same size and better quality magnet out of that to use. It’s better quality as I realized the old one had a small button that easily could separate once poked out and the inside looked deteriorated. The new one is completely sealed in with plastic or silicon whatever material is but I trust it’s food grade safe.

Apparently the magnet needs to be strong enough.

You’ve saved my machine instantly !!! And just for anyone else reading like me who doesn’t have magnets around… the bottom of your old juul is very magnetic… stronger than my fridge magnet i place the juul against the disc and then back of the machine and it cleared straight away!!!

I tried your hack but I put the magnet in a baggie because I did not know if the magnet was food safe. I placed the magnet at the correct height in the container and shut the black bar into the baggie. It worked!! Thanks,

That worked for my mom's Tassimo machine. We used a round magnet from the Dollarstore and dropped it on top of the original one.

Genius. I had a magnet that wouldn’t float so I rubbed on the magnet that came with the machine and voila the magnet started working again I think we learned that in school. Thank you so much for your help!

In the meanwhile, all you have to do is push the magnet against the back of the machine using an utensil and it will work as long it’s filled with water.
