Gurney Wharf also known as "Park On the Sea", It is the planned waterfront in Gurney Drive Penang with total 60 acres of reclaimed land at Teluk Ayer Rajah, Gurney.
This area will have a seaside Food & Beverage precinct, water gardens,
a 400-meter sandy beach and coastal groves.
This massive development will be carried out in two phases; the first phase comprising the public park, the second phase will involve the construction of the F&B precinct.
There is no high rise buildings along the coast line. Instead, there will be a wide open greenery for the public to enjoy.
The materialisation of this development will be a major plus point for the real estate lining Gurney Drive, as their sea-view will not be blocked, but enhanced by the wider shorefront.

The reclamation is very clean. This will become a new landmark of Penang. Ni baru sebahagian pulau tambak, ada lagi otw tambak. Tengok 4:59. Nampak mcm sedang tambak. InsyaAllah, klu ikut info, sini lah venue yg dirancang kerajaan negeri utk sambut tahun baru 2023.
Kalau nak buat bandar maju dan teratur serta dikenali pelancung dari seluruh dunia kena buat mcam ni diharap pbinaanya dirancang sesuai dgn masa depan bebas pcemaran.bebas kderaan petrol dan bebas dari kesesakan.

Penang has best reclaimation planning in malaysia. Thats why federal government sent their barking dogs@NGOs such as Penang Forum and Penang Tolak Tambak (same group of people residing in multiple NGOs) to stop penang from developing
The same goes for Melaka there are some people also barking and trying to stop the reclamation and also because of politic.
Are you sure they represent government? I know some local penangite that doesn’t support the reclamation project 😌😌😌 plus, All this reclamation project must be approved by the federal government because it’s not under the authority of state government

2nd, nelayan sendiri dan keluarga nelayan yg nak sangat projek ni.
3rd, tambakan langsung tak menjejaskan aktiviti nelayan.

If developed on a huge scale, such as in Marina Bay, Singapore, it will undoubtedly be stunning.
But there is not high rise building here

At first i was happy to hv projects like these especially since they all hv some environmental concerns dealt with. But after i found some ppl saying things like "we killing orangutans?! Orangutans would kill us first" or "deforestation are good for our tigers", im beginning to hv my doubts...

Yes, port city to compare to Singapore, Hong Kong and Xiamen will be well received.
Even better compare to Gold Coast near Brisbane by including new tourist attractions such as international class theme parks (Movie World, Sea World, Disneyland) and artificial beaches (like Southbank in Brisbane) or Darling Harbour in Sydney.
