- I decided to modify my Garrett ACE 400i metal detector and take it out to celebrate 5 years of metal detecting.
We went door knocking and got a new permission so went straight on the land to see what sort of treasure we could find.
I bought a wireless Z Lynk transmitter to make my ace 400i work with my ms3 headphones and wireless pinpointer, it was fantastic not to be tied to the machine a real game changer.

Adding the z lynk made it so much better to use, an absolute game changer if your still wired up to the machine, and it will fit any make or brand :-) Thanks for watching as always x

Ahhh. I did similar with my Ace 250. I bought a Bluetooth transmitter to plug into the output jack. And I Bluetooth to my Bluetooth headset that I always have on. And TaDa volume control...

Hi Dawn. You can lower the volume of the sound on the unit by applying a couple of strips of duct or Gorrilla tape over the sound vents on the bottom of the control box. Much quieter bing bong sound. I wear hearing aids and they arent compatible with head phones. If it's too quiet, just peel a strip of tape off. Much love from Canada.♡ Hank

I just sold my EuroAce, which was my spare, cause I never used it. I loved the bell jangle when I found a target and missed it for ages when I moved on to a Deus. Going back to it now though it was rather loud 😂. Great video Dawn, as always👍🏼

yes we are lucky dont remember a time that i havent been able to dig, its water logging thats our problem with flooded fields

Good video Dawn! I still use my Ace 400. I took it to Florida for a week, last week. She found me 2 unusual finds plus tons of clad. I didn't take my Z-link cause I don't like wearing headphones in 80+ degree weather. Did park & beach hunting with her. I use the Z-Link on my other brand detector as well, but they won't fit in a carry on suitcase like the Ace 400 does.

Goto love a new permission.. no silver but atleast it was a 5p.. I found a piece of gold foil in the goldfields the other day, nearly did my first backflip for nothing lol.. great video. Keep up the good work..

I have a Garrett ace 350 with wired headphones and I've found that I can just have them around my neck, the volume turned up full and I can still hear them clearly and I can still wear a hat. Plus I can hear anyone who wants to say something to me as well. It's comfortable just having them around my neck and it's less hard on the ears too, both comfort wise and loudness. So just a tip if anyone wants to try.

I use the Ace 350 and run it in coin mode. I have the junk desciminated out. A coin getting machine. I started out with the Tesoro Cibola learned the different tones. Same with Garrett never learned or like the number id one's.
That was a good dig. No silver coins sacrificed to the great god "SILVO" either so that is a good thing. Possum bum hat got an outing too. I've seen you out in much colder weather Dawn are you getting soft in old age? I realized now that there is a time limit to get your comments in by, otherwise they are ignored. I hope I make the time limit.
yeah you made it, hahah I sit up answering comments till about 10pm and then I have to go to bed..... The wind was bitingly cold and with the field being so open there was no getting away from it for 5 hours! perhaps i am getting soft

Yeah you should try it, a good machine is a Garrett 250 sometimes you can get them 2nd hand for a good price

Dawn what kinda pencils are you using and what is the process?
Ive been using composite pencils from ebay, i let the coins dry and then remove the dust and dirt in small strokes, its time consuming but very theraputic :-)

What does VDI mean?
it means Virtual desktop infrastructure, VDI is basically the visual numbers being shown on the detector for that particular target
