Oh yes, that COLD mountain water does take your breath way! Even in August, when it's 90 degrees outside and you're hot and sweaty, jump into a swimming hole in the Blue Ridge Mountains. That water is so cold it's ... stunning! But swim around really hard for a few minutes and your body gets used to it - in August. But NOT in November! I love that ya'll donated so much to Beloved Asheville. Thank you. You are an inspiration to us all. Not only your donations to hurricane relief, but also for cleaning up Fontana Lake. I wish there were more people like you in this world.
Gosh dang, why do I always come away from your videos with deep laughs, big feels, and more often than not(good) tears in my eyes? You guys are a blessing ❤
Girl, that was Top Gear level video with that car from the garage to the end of the trip. You really have a good eye for the money shots! I'm so sorry you got sick, though, but well worth it if you feel it was worth it. Thank you for sharing! ❤❤❤❤
Wow what memories. When i was younger we use to run the trails at night on our land. We could go from grandma's house to " the big house" which was my great grandma's house. And from both places we could get to our family cemetery, never realized it was or could have been dangerous. The mind of kid is a beautiful and scary place. Man i miss those days. Thanks for the memories. ❤❤❤❤
I'm so grateful I've never suffered with motion sickness. I'm so sorry it spoiled your Porche experience! Thanks for the update on the charity video. I hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I ground every day. You are absolutely correct. For those of you who haven't taken up grounding. My preferred grounding time is in the evenings after the dew has fallen for more conductivity. You can actually feel it. Hiking at night in the North Carolina mountains. There have been hairy man encounters in them hills. Happy day
This was lovely. It was a long and gentle ride …. Thank you for donating your view subscribership to Asheville. I’m enjoying the content from Brandon. Another lovely view from the Jone’s home. Thank you for sharing.
I enjoy watching your channel with your soft voice and I enjoy your walks and just enjoying being outside! I am older and have an illness that keeps me from getting around very much. But my heart & soul yearns for being in nature. I miss my younger years of walking 3-5 miles everyday. Thanks for sharing your lives!❤ God bless!
Thank you 🙏 sorry to hear about your illness causing limitations in your day to day life, that must be hard. we are so glad you enjoy & can get a little “nature fix” in vicariously if nothing else! ❤️❤️
Sorry about your motion sickness!! Nice beautiful hike adventure. Wonderful that you were able to donate that much to Asheville. Hope you had an awesome blessed Thanksgiving. Best, Jim
Suggestion....put some rope and a couple of pullies from the house to the rock on shore. Attach a small dingy to it and IKO can be sent back and forth with ease to the hill.
I've never gotten sick in a car, on a boat or a commercial airplane but I flew once in a single engine airplane about 15 years ago that just about got me. That being said I did get queasy going through the rollers between Seattle and Victoria on the Victoria Clipper. I had to go outside and stand on the stern for awhile. Your donation to Beloved Asheville is awesome. Thanks for sharing the process. 40k subscribers and 600k views? Fantastic! Your reach is impressive. I love your pup!
Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving and got to relax with your family. I have always loved night hiking because it's so peaceful. It sucks that you got sick during the Porsche ride. Those mountain roads along with speed will get you every single time if you have motion sickness. I also dread taking my dogs out in the mornings. Looks like we're in for a big chill the next few days with the low in the teens. My mind has been on the people who have lost their homes here in E TN and NC due to Helene. I hope everyone has a comfortable, safe place to lay their head at night and keep warm. Thank you all so much for donating the proceeds from your video to help out locally in NC. You both have a heart of gold that doesn't go unnoticed!
Thank you!! ❤️❤️ yes it’s been sooo miserably cold this week, truly hope all have had somewhere warm to stay (even during the day, it’s barely been above freezing 🥶). ❤️🩹
Omg, you made me homesick for the mountains, trees & hills of the Smoky Mts! Your floating home lifestyle is amazing and beautiful. I enjoyed hiking along (in my head) in your "adventure". Absolutely crushed it in your efforts to help the folks affected by Helene🎉. Blessings to you, hubbie & doggo😂❤.
Oh bless you Sarah! I feel for you, it’s so miserable. I’m not able to throw up though. Sure wish I could some times. I have learned so many new things from you two. What a wonderful donation! You guys are on an adventure every day and we get to see it! Thank you for sharing.
This is the best conditions to fish here. I used to stay at Bobby Milsaps floater in Sawyer creek. It was anchored…you would just spin around and around. Man those were some times. The most beautiful spot on the earth.
Good! 🙏 I don’t think it’s as big of an issue as many people who haven’t been on houseboats assume lol. I don’t think any of our neighbors have ever gotten sea sick on theirs either. 🙌
@@KeepingAfloatWiththeJoneses I also think it depends on if you are able to see boats, house close by moving then it messes with balance for a time or two in a storm but doesn’t make us sick. I’d love to see your place lit with Christmas lights! Too cute!
Makes sense! Haha thank you! Here’s how it looked all lit up from last year 🥰🎄 th-cam.com/video/0LYGch2SwZE/w-d-xo.html still haven’t gotten lights put up yet this year 😂
@! 11:00 as much time as you spend on the lake motion sickness was not what I was thinking, as a child I had it so bad on trips to my Grandmothers I would say leave me on the side of the rode and pick me up on your way back / but I would try Ginger Snaps cookies as a good home remedy
Hello S&B! We just want to Thankyou two for the effort to help people after hurricane Helene! You guys are great! On a side note, Brandon I don’t think there’s a fast sports car in your future. Sorry! Much love! T&C!
I hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Love the need for speed segment! Brandon was like a little boy on Christmas morning! Sorry you got sick, but I bet it was fun at first. That loaf of bread was a piece of artwork! I bet it is hard to eat store-bought bread after making your own. Y’all take care, and stay warm! See ya next Friday!

Love all your adventures love the water live on Tennessee river in north Alabama we have some amazing marina operators but lost a great one Buddy Alred he was amazing person He would send his wife Shiela to get every one to pile on their boat to go watch the wonderful moon the North Star was a great boat and he loved to share with all of us.
Next time you do the driving and see if he gets sick. I've been caring for my parents and I took them for a drive on a curvy mountain road today .Dad loved it Mom not so much ,though she said she had a nice day out but was glad when we got back to more strait roadway. Once you drive a car with a stick shift you never forget I hear. I personally have never owned a car with out one ,and have trouble driving an automatic always reaching for the stick or hitting the breaks too hard for some reason.
Brandon never seems to get sick when he rides passenger in my car, I almost always feel sick when i’m passenger with him (or anyone else) if it’s on a pretty curvy road for more than about 20 min. You’d think i’d be used to it growing up on these curvy mtn roads but my mom always got sick too, maybe just genetic haha. Being the driver definitely helps, but I can’t drive stick so I couldn’t drive that Porsche unfortunately haha
Dear, dear Sarah… If you go to Hawaii, DO NOT do a helicopter ride over the lava flow!!! Between the exhaust fumes, the very loud chopper noise, and the motion and circling, circling… oh my. Watching you brought it all back, and this is 17 years later😜 Glad you arrived home safely ❤️ Awesome report on the hurricane aid. Thanks for helping all of us be a little part of something very good!

The water doesn’t freeze here, so we take her potty in the winter the same way we do the rest of the year haha- via boat
