VACUFLO Model 26 Central Vac

Here is my late Grandpa Frank’s VACUFLO Model 26 Central Vac in use. The accessories were donated a few years back, so I used Oreck attachments for this video. It works great and I’m glad I finally tried it. I hope you guys enjoy!

Sorry for the loss of your grandfather.
Beautiful system though. From the way it runs, you can tell that it’s been seldomly used, it sounds like it’s new.
I’m curious to know why they didn’t use it. I have a feeling it had something to do with the air driven head and its performance on carpets.
I have two of the T21 heads myself, and they are one of my favorite air driven heads as they do work really well. Unfortunately, they still couldn’t quite compete with an electric brush or an upright vacuum. Those old Vacuflo machines are really good. It is too bad about the original attachments.
Edit: I see from another video of your Christmas party vacuuming that it does have some bearing issues, but that is to be expected with its age. It still runs beautifully.

The Model 26 was Vacuflo's standard residential model from the early 1960s all the way to the early 1990s. Yours looks early to mid 80's (they did update the decals from time to time). What did your grandparents have for a vacuum if they didn't use this? Looks like it still works beautifully. Sorry about your grandfather's passing.

Thank you very much. They used an Oreck XL2, Riccar SupraLite, Dyson V15, among other things. Early to Mid 80s makes sense since that’s when the house was built.
