John Milner will ALWAYS be the coolest and fastest cat in the valley. He just will be........... Love this film and the atmosphere it captures of that era. British fan here :)

I think he passed away recently.
I love I that yellow car
"Your car is uglier than my face" lmao
Greatest Movie ever .......
Great scene - one of my favorite movies
If Harrison had the Millennium Falcon he would of won this race in less than 12 parsacs.
He his character was enough of man to handle that big block Chevy, he wouldn’t have rolled it either.
"0.5 past light speed. She may not look like much, kid, but she's got it where it counts."
@@Sag301 lol
Men don't race with a woman in the car.....
One of my fav movies, i watch it all the time.
Shes out of your price range man. lol. Bo Hopkins was cool. RIP!
Man I remember when my dad used take the el Camino out after we fixed it up put a 350 in it and made it fast as hell
The pipes on that chevy going through the light oohhh baby
So, she is from Ramona? and they are in Modesto? That is a long drive.
I seen this
"Hey man, sorry if I scared ya!..."
Dude is that Indiana Smith?
yep, Jones is driving in 1962 with an engine that wouldn't be designed until 1970. real time traveler he is.
@@alertgasper man your calendar is on the fritz , the Mystery Motor was used by Junior Johnson at the 1963 Daytona 500 just about six months after this was taking place .
@@bobbrinkerhoff3592 Well, the movie takes place in 1962--and even you admit the Z11 Mystery Motor didn't appear until a year later. But why was it called the Mystery Motor? Because it was a complete mystery what it was. Why did no one know what the Z11 engine was? Because it wouldn't be available to the motoring public until the 1965 SS Chevelle Z-16 with a smaller bore version (396 versus 427cid) or Impalas ordered up midyear. The engine in this car--same car used in Two Lane Blacktop--is a 454 rat (originally named the Porcupine for its canted valves like porcupine quills, but the small block was called the Mighty Mouse for its abilities so its big brother got called the Rat) engine that first showed itself in 1970.
@@alertgasper first off , the Z-11 was NOT the Mystery Motor . It was the stroker 409 , the Mystery Motor was the Mark II 427 big block Chevy . If you had paid attention to the movie , you'd know that the characters played by Ron Howard and Richard Dreyfus were both supposed to leave for college in the morning , which makes it late August or very early September . The Daytona 500 is held in mid February , only six months later , not a year . The 396 was introduced in the Corvette and the full size Chevrolet lineups in February of 1965 at least two months before the Z-16 Chevelle was brought out . In September of 1965 the 427 was introduced in the new '66 Chevies , both long before 1970 . If you are referring to the 454 , it came out in September of 1969 for the '70 model year . Despite what the dialogue in Two Lane Blacktop says , the race car was powered by a L-88 , 427 . The term Rat Motor came about with the 427 , long before there was a 454 .
@@bobbrinkerhoff3592 the tagline for this movie is, "where were you in '62?", so we know Bob Falfa built his 1955 Chevy before 1963 when the Mystery Motor debuted. While we don't know much about the Bob Falfa character, we can be pretty sure he wasn't running around CA with an experimental engine out of Detriot. You should research the car used for this movie--there were three, two with the 454.
Is it really necessary the bleep out the words shit and piss ???
なつかしい😄
Hi people💪
Great
What did he mean by pulling over to the side of the road to let a funeral go by?
Old school manners , we pulled over for a funeral procession , it was a thing
@@martinbench3657 wow had no idea. So basically hes implying that his car and or milner is old?
No he is saying that he ain’t fast at all in simple terms, he is just as slow as cars following a hearse.@@marc-andreblanchard537
implying that its so slow a funeral procession would pass it@@marc-andreblanchard537
More that the yellow paint/style was flamboyant.@@marc-andreblanchard537
