Mecalec seems to be one of the only HD Equipment companies focused on innovation and ease of use in multiple environments. Impressive. If their quality matches, they could gain some market share.
What I want to see in a demo like this is common situations you handle in the field, like digging along a wall, or on uneven ground, or backfilling a trench and see how all this razzle dazzle makes that job easier over conventional equipment. Start with where conventional equipment fails, and how these design improvements make these scenarios easier.
These really need an excellent operator to be useful. Many operators would not be able to handle this with fluid motions. Kids need these instead of video games.
One hundred percent. Its an absolute learning curve to operate these things. But once youve got it you will never want to be in a traditional excavator again
Had a lookie at their web site, they have several 'light' wheeled excavators which should be of interest to some, most companies seem to have only 14/15T versions but their lightest is a 7 - that may make a big difference for transporting as that, or the 11T, will be able to be trailered behind many pick-up trucks, rather than require a specialist transporter? The pivot in the middle of the main boom is also a change from many light tracked excavators that have it at the chassis/cab mounting point, their version allows a much greater offset for trenching, which could also be of considerable interest for some. Mrs Dirt Monkey is certainly getting a handle on the camera work, well done, as usual! Oh, also nice to see young women getting ito the business.
One of the best manufacturers out there. Pretty popular here in Europe. Their best machine is the AS900tele. Awesome for farms, they love it. Surprised they didn't showcase in the show. Expensive machines though. Paus from Germany has similar machines
Howdy, thought you’d see a message here quicker than Facebook and I couldn’t find a Twitter for ya. Just saw some new Bobcat SAL units going to a dealer on a flatbed as I was driving today. Didn’t know what they were and just did some research, they’re an interesting little loader product. Looking forward to your take on their new small articulated line. Maybe you’ll even be able to play with one this next snow season.
Mecalac are well built machines they getting very common here also build backhoe loaders with a phenomenal reach on the backhoe, they have been around for quite a few years and they now have the ownership of what was terex /Massey Ferguson
Some of these European machines are weird. Just ran a Wacker Neuson telehandler this week and it was mostly nice to run but controls were kind of weird. Boom retracts when lowering no matter what, even un-laden. Really difficult to use in tight spaces.
Pretty sure they consider that a feature to make sure the fork position stays the same relative to the ground. Would be helpful if you do a lot of hoisting saw it in a video of there's but it really seems more like a hand holding feature for new operators.
It's not proportional, it's just a safety feature to prevent tipping, as you say, for hand-holding. If it could be overridden with a "boom out" input, I could see it. It also is not managed, it retracts full speed all the way until the end stop, even if booming down very slowly and/or from a low angle already. It brings the forks MUCH closer to the machine in these cases.
You have all these video's of your equipment, but I don't see a breaker attachment. That's one of the first things you have to do when you buy when you start a concrete and excavation business.
I run a 6 mcr and it shits all over my 5t kubota and 75hp kubota positrack absolutely amazing the capabklities of that machine. It will out do any 8t traditional excavator on the market
hey stanley just got a question, might sound silly but i figured you would be the right person to ask, so ive been looking into a trade, and also as a builder and developer of property and many people have said builders and developers make the most and make good money and more money compared to trades, is this true what is your opinion on this? Thanks!
The builders make more money because they take the most risk. With that being said, you could also lose your ass in a hurry. As a trade, you make less, however, your risk is considerably less. I’m a Concrete/excavation contractor now, but I am planning to become a developer in the future and hopefully do both.
I looked at the price of an 8MCR. I could buy a new track/skid loader and a new U-55 Kubota. Mecalac is a jack of all trades but master of none machine.

I think your right
They are most used in the Netherlands. We helped them with alot of feedback and its the most used equipment for road building and infrastructure.

I saw this demonstration in person at the conexpo! They are awesome. The operator on the loader is incredible!!
Very cool!
Incredible, the price must be too.

*We All Lift Together* by the Warframe team would be PERFECT music for this.
Also, I love the excavator/skid combo. The functionality and the looks!

Yep. Practice practice practice
Well said!

Definitely would be a time saver and money maker on jobs as long everything is made with quality parts and material.

Thanks for the comments and for watching !
Wow, those were some really cool machines. Very different from what you normally see used.
Of course 😊
Wife did an excellent job filming. thank you
Thank you!

I love new toys!
GEE THANKS now i want a new toy. cool video its like a diesel Swiss army knife
That's a great description
Awesome way to describe it!
Are there any video's showing the excavator actually digging out hard material? All I've ever seen is these machines scooping up loose sand/soil.
Mrs DirtMonkey is an excellent camerawoman
Thank you!
please try to get them to let you demo the excavator/skidsteer I would love to see it actually tested lol
I love the one we have. We're looking at selling our 5t combo to buy a 10mcr

You need to meet duckgirl 86. That would be a fun video.
Those dumpers are very useful tools very popular here in Ireland, defo recommend one
Any idea what their support system is like? , none of this means anything unless they have a good support system.
Don’t know about US but uk dealership and support is very good
I have the 6MCR (for about 5 months now). My local dealer in Hayden ID, QDiGit has been great to work with!
Amazing machines and operators
Cool stuff
U should review the tracked one
agreed- Id love to
insane...and nice to see some skilled operators too :)
Yes, those operators were good
@@Dirtmonkey unlike those concrete demolition guys 😊
Can you run a forestry muncher on these. What a awesome piece of equipment. Wonder why Kubota and bob cat etc don’t make one. Seems like a no brainer
In your opinion, are these machines built tough ? TATU, Thanks and thumbs up.

Can that mini ex pick up a pallet of sod and unload 18 pallets efficiently?
They was thinking outside the box in those machines
Nice features, but will it hold up?
Does mecalac sales in the Philippines?

Very nice machines. I would love to have them.
Very interesting machines, would love to run one
Its an absolute headfuck. Once you understand it to its hard to go back to a traditional excavator
You and me both!
You need to take these on a trial run.
I'd love to!

Jaymin Wells where are you from? How’s the serviceability on it? Is it tough to get parts?

Concrete and Construction thanks man! Appreciate it, good luck to you!
Pretty cool
Look very useful can they fly to 🤔
Unfortunately not
Where are these things made
Which country show arrange?
Isn't there any way possible that you can keep the music out?
I live in Indiana, closest dealer is in Massachusetts
And all this machines are made by a FRENCH COMPANY🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷!!! Vive la France
I wonder what the learning cure is on them?
Where is Mecalec made?
are they made in china? or scotland
Cool demo, but no actual work scenarios

Mecalac has the added versatility of a telehandler.
One machine, does the job of many. Less maintenance
This video should be on Tik Tok.
In Europe they have a different name ahlmann mecalac pretty awsome machines
The side dumper guy did basically nothing lol
All I see is big issues and big dough if something fails in the field with the complexity of their systems.
Its not too bad. Everything is way over engineered to not break
Hello Stan:)
Paus make a loader like that but even better
