I've never cooked my frozen either. My mama always thawed them out overnight in the sink with cold water and a dish towel over the top so turkey doesn't dry out. I still do that, and no one has ever gotten sick from that. I use the innards for stuffing. I boil them with seasonings and then after they get soft I cut them up finely. Yes, I do include the neck bone too. Congratulations on getting that great .49 cent per pound price on that delicious turkey.
Hi Renea and John! I found turkeys on sale for 39 cents a pound. I was told next week the organic turkeys will be on sale. I’m going to stock up while I can. Thanks for the recipes. Have a blessed day!
We always stuff our turkey (thawed) before roasting. I make so much stuffing that sometimes I need 2 casserole dishes to bake the rest if there is room in the oven. If there isn’t, I have an 18-qt. electric roaster that I can use. 😂 I do remove all of the stuffing before putting the leftovers in the fridge, though.
❤ I love watching your videos and always learn a lot, but I am also very appreciated of your upbeat positive. Happy attitude and gratitude. You show us.❤
We don’t make stuffing down here in the south, we make cornbread dressing and make a light brown gravy to go over it, we eat it with cranberry sauce so it’s a sweet, salty dish!
A always save leftover turkey and made broth from the bones. My grandkids love my “chicken” noodle soup the best! I use a little bit of sesame oil in my fried rice and it can add more flavor without using as much soy sauce. A little goes a long way, the first time I added too much…a mistake. I love watching you cook for your family and you have given me some wonderful ideas! Thanks so much for sharing!!
Good Morning Renae and John . My Mom always stuffed the turkey with homemade dressing. I sure do miss her cooking around the holidays. Thanks for sharing great freezer meals. 😋🥰
I don't cook my pasta for freezer meals anymore. I just put it in the vessel ill be freezing and baking it in, make sure all the noodles are well covered in sauce then freeze. Pull it and maybe add a little more sauce on top or a bit of water and bake. I do that with my manicotti and let me tell you how much easier they are to stuff! Thanks for sharing your recipes, lots of delicious looking food! ❤😊
Great minds think alike. Family Fare has them for .39 a pound. We have bought one a day! Now I know what to do with them. I knew I could count on you!!
All your recipes look great. I will make sure to tell people to watch your video when I post mine. I took this week off. This is my Birthday week. I'll have more videos up next week. ❤❤❤❤

Oh, I am so excited to watch this video. I bought two turkeys to make freezer meals with. I always make turkey divan for the freezer. I use a chicken divan recipe from Jenny’s Scratch kitchen but use turkey instead. Bring on the recipes. Yah!

I am laughing. I put cream of mushroom soup in my meatloaf. Well I needed some and my husband says don’t put that in there. I hate mushrooms. I said you have been eating it that way for 35 years. Lol we actually had it tonight and he raved about it.
My granddaughter says that she hates mushrooms. According to her dad, she never had mushrooms. I'm guessing that just the look of them fresh or cooked turns her off. I do the same,I cook with mushroom soup when I make casseroles for their family. Go figure. Lol 👋🇨🇦

My mom use to use some of our left over turkey to make turkey pot pies and turkey stew. And she always stuffed her turkey and never got sick.
I love to add oyster sauce as well to my fried rice.

Didn’t she say it was cream of chicken?
The recipes you posted did you double them? They look delicious. My store has turkey for 49 cents also going to get extra since I’ve got room and I’ll probably can some.
No, they are single recipes.
You did say you were doubling the recipe when you were making it.

THE FIRST TURKEY I EVER COOKED OVER 50 YEARS AGO I DIDN'T KNOW THE GIBLETS WERE IN THE NECK CAVITY UNTIL I SERVED IT
Great video, Renea! When you cook the pasta, do you make 2 pounds of pasta?
Yes.
Where did you get that awesome apron?
It was made for me by a friend.
Oh hey, you can Sautee the onions/peas/scrambled in Sesame oil, gives it that Asian flavor/kick, like at the restaurants!

That was a great price on those turkeys!
LOL SIS 😂 You do know the Church SiSter watch your husband's plate.. LOL
Hi, how long did it take to cook the turkey from frozen?
Could I just put the Turkey macaroni bake into a freezer bag? Do you take the foil off to bake it?
Yes you could pack it in a bag. I leave the foil on to bake.
You have plastic wrap master skills! I’d be wrapped up in it rolling on the floor😅
My granddaughter says that she hates mushrooms. According to her dad, she never had mushrooms. I'm guessing that just the look of them fresh or cooked turns her off.
I do the same,I cook with mushroom soup when I make casseroles for their family. Go figure. Lol
👋🇨🇦
Do you add the date on your freezer cooker!
Yes
we used to stuff it but wouldnt cook it frozen usual says defrost untill thawed
You can cook from frozen, just takes longer.
What if you don’t like pasta? Where did you get that wonderful scope at? I’d love to get one!
I found an identical scoop at, of all places, Dollar Tree. I love it! HTH.
That’s where I got mine, too.
Then you may not like these meals.
You could substitute cooked rice.
That was cheap
