    Ardern is only interested in censorship. The last speech of hers I gritted my teeth together to listen to she was banging on about online censorship by big tech and gathering data on New Zealander's and what they say to each other. I don't have much hope that National will be any different on this issue either.

    Thank you for getting David on again, always a rational person unlike the lunatics in our govt. I agree with the absolutely nerve wracking information people are dealing out to kids and the extreme way they are doing it like religious people did to their kids depicting an imaginary end of days, its actually mentally abusive to not allow children to develop a calm and open mind from a young age and allow them to enjoy the world in front of them in a clear and happy way. And if the world was genuinely ending why wouldn't you want your kids to enjoy it and why wouldn't you want to enjoy it? I do start to question the motives behind the climate change and culture controlling entities at hand and whether they truly want happiness for others and to be able to move on with their lives or if govts and cultures feels so useless and irrelevant they try to find ways to make themselves relevant by toying with our lives.

      would love to see the right of politics undermine the green movement by doing thing like offering beverage companies tax incentives to use glass or even set up rebottling facilities. show how you need to work with business to achieve greater sustainability instead of just banning things and increasing cost.

    • @elizabethbradley4301
      @elizabethbradley4301 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@dsndicmsa7141 I recently suggested to our auckland councilors over the past few years that we need a soft plastic recycling system like the bottles, cans, glass that our past people in charge manage to work out pretty easily and get everyone on board from households, I've told both Efeso Collins people and Craig lord, but my preference is for Craig Lord as he is like a normal NZer and actually focuses on the job at hand, I hope he works it out, also this could be a business for someone to start but too many people look to the govt to solve all of our problems and takes their opinion on too seriously. We had a 20 person business and managed to reduce our landfill contributions by about 90%. This was very exciting to see that our entire country could do this so easily but our current govt is just about doing the occasional thing which limits our lives, picks on people and doesn't change anything. Plastic is a good resource in places other than the supermarket but it's being managed badly. NZ as a country was already quite environmentally conscious, encouraged clever open minded, creative people and a sustainable country by circumstance and necessity and a lot of our values have been ignored, achievements undermined with hate about our societies and a lot of greed and controlling people have been intruding into the personal aspects of our lives rather than speaking of all the good we have all achieved together and the good we can achieve personally. Like insulting our combined ancestors, turning us against each other with so many extreme views on life, rather than just allowing people to breathe, enjoy their surroundings, enjoy their independent cultures respectfully and our own family cultures in which we have moved on from the past and enjoy who we are as individuals and allowing people to live with a clear mind and happy mind on their own terms, not on the govts. I feel like our country is being run by people who don't like the people they are here to take care of.

      @@Ben-wz9tm simply put, in order to be granted a firearms licence in NZ you need 2 referees - 1 relative that ideally lives with you, one non-relative that doesn't live with you.
      The arms officer should interview both of them to determine your mental state and suitability to own a gun.
      Tarrant got a father and son from a chat group, he hadn't met either of them and wasn't related to at least one of them, and the police still ticked off his licence.
      We didn't need any new laws, we just needed police to follow the existing rules.
      I get NZ is sleepy and nobody expected anything like that so the cops get a bit slack on it. But they have never admitted their failings nor reviewed their actions as far as I'm aware.
      Instead they demonized lawful gun owners and went about revoking licences knee-jerk fashion in order to scare the public into think there are loads of armed nutters out there, all to divert attention from the fact they have blood on their hands.

    Bang on mate. The only reason Tarrant got his hands on guns was from the systematic failings of NZ Police. Not just 1 mistake but numerous.
    I've twice sat my NZ firearms licence (they make it cheaper to do from the start than renew an expired one) and it's shocking. They basically give you the answers as you have unlimited goes on the day.
    There's no practical test.
    And only once did an arms officer (not a cop, just a civilian) come to interview me or check my storage.
    They fail at every turn yet then demonize gun owners to cover up their own failings. Have lost a lot of respect for NZ cops in recent years
