While this is an excellent way to make the spirits and the world seem more alive, I also see this as a possibly great way to allow new players to get cosmetics from older season spirits. The announcement mentioned that helping spirits with daily quests will deepen your friendship with them, which sounds like a perfect opportunity to let players look for their favorite season spirit, help them with daily quests (maybe for a week), and then unlock their cosmetics along the way. For players who already have all season spirits unlocked, there could be a special final reward (either an item or perhaps a large bunch of candles). Having a travelling spirit show up every two weeks worked in the beginning, but is not sustainable in the long run, especially since we're only gonna have more seasons and spirits. I'd love to see this idea develop into something that could help new players feel a little less "late to the game" and offer a stress free way to develop a bond with favorite spirits.
This is a great idea, and one of the more balanced and thoughtful comments I’ve seen on possibly resolving the different needs for older and newer players with traveling spirits.

Some of us would also like a way to "make requests" so that other sky kids can candle run on our behalf. Maybe they get a portion of the candle wax or something... or get heart fragments from it. Call us lazy but we can't candle run EVERYDAY including weekdays just so we got candles to spend on spirits. Just something to think about which would prevent burn outs and strengthen relationships with strangers cause it'll be like... "oh someone accepted my candle run quest! thank you so much, stranger!" I mean... that's the reason why "otherworld" stories usually have guilds and such so that currency actually flows throughout the world. As of now the world is just run by the sky kids with spirits just standing there like preprogrammed robots. I like the Relationship 2.0 idea but please also add a way so that currency (candles, ac, hearts) would flow better throughout the world without random kids just ending up begging for it from strangers or forcing ourselves to login and spend 1-2 hours just to get 15-20 candles. It's quite a mess right now despite many people praising everything ignoring what can be improved. Thanks for reading if you did!
i actually kinda really agree with this. tbh if they even made it where they get half or we get half the candles (someone else is doing the work so in a way it would make sense we only get half the work and they get the extra half)
Oh I would love this, like if it’d give hearts in return for doing a candle run for someone while also doing my own. Hearts are such a difficult and slow currency to get, especially when you don’t have a lot of friends. So i’d totally be down for this.
@snicksss oooh or maybe it could be a difficulty like system where you post a request based on the number of candles you want forged. For example: 5 candles Reward: 1/4 heart 10 candles Reward: 1/2 heart And so on. It would take into account how someone might not have a lot of time but they still want to help someone
As someone lucky enough to have time and energy for daily runs, I would love this! I used the dragon train during Fortune to take strangers on runs and it was so much fun. It would also follow the compassion, generosity, and teamwork goals of the game in a way that could be applied while still obtaining currency and going about our daily routines. Great idea!
Yeah, I would like that feature. I'm not always able to be on Sky and it would be nice if someone else could candle run for me. And I would also like to candle run for others if I have free time after I'm able to candle run. And letting the people that do this stuff for you get hearts is really rewarding so I hope that would be a feature they add.

I guess I was just wanting that feature so much I was blinded! 😅 Please give us access to the spirits on the map for daily quests! Or, honestly, please place all the spirits on the map as an option! Also, can we hold hands with a player and _see their map?_ So often in helping a player, figuring out what part of the map they're talking about means describing the map in chat and both going back in to check the map. If we could hold hands and see the map of the lead player that would make helping friends so much easier.
One of my favorite things about sky is observing the spirits and trying to theorize what their relationship with each other is. I would love to see more interactions among the spirits like assembly and passage getting together for days of sunlight or something.
Its cute and I'm sure it will bring us closer to spirits but...this will definitely make daily quests even harder. Getting candles already takes 3 hours. People are getting burnt out. Love the idea anyway
personaly im always curious about the history of the lands of journey and sky, all the strange machiens and ruined buildings dotting the land, theyre history, those who built them who lived there, i always wished that was fleshed out a little it would be cool to explore those places in theyre time, maybe through flashback or somehting. :V modders pls get on that!... if practical... idk. ^^;
nope, you can get them from the shrine at home as well. you just also have the option to get them from and redeem them with the spirits! that’s how it’s been in beta anyways
I hope Sky gets like a zodiac type season or something that would be so cool! Like having a spirit resemble each constellation, or simply put as a zodiac bc it’s star related. Twelve spirits might be too much of a handful tho
Counter point: rather than real world Zodiacs, make other constellstion based things. Some other "gods" or star signs of some kind, since we already have constellations

That's cool, but can we fix the bugs before adding More stuff? Valley's doors are still broken, grandma's table area with the buns is broken, the balls you light for wax at bonfires is broken, the plushies are broken and the server splitting is even worse.
I absolutely want more interaction with the spirit characters! It’s so exciting to hear you’re leaning into more storytelling with this aspect of the game. ♥️ By the by, not sure if it’s a glitch or something you’re testing or something I’m somehow activating without knowing how, but sometimes when I’m near a spirit who’s sitting (spirits waiting to be lit to relive a memory), the spirit’s head and posture turns and follows my direction. It startled me at first, but I also find it kind of charming, as if they’re becoming more alive. So far, it’s happened with the Light Whisperer and the one in Forest that does the flying kiss emote, but it’s not every time I’m around them either. It would be cute if the spirits did different things sitting in their spot after we’ve relived them at least once and if they responded to our movement in other locations on the map a bit like they do in the village. Maybe they could be working on a project or sitting in a way that feels more contemplative. I don’t know. Now I’m just throwing out thoughts. 😂
honestly here's an idea i dont ever see get talked about enough what if we get elder masks for the remaining elders. it makes sense and gives players more things to spend candles on.
Imma need yall to STOP moving EVERYTHING to aviary. This is making old home completely USELESS. There isnt any reason to be there anymore and it's sad to see yall leave it behind. All of this is great but if you keep doing this AT LEAST let home have its thing and dont let event spirits take you to aviary INSTEAD of the event area. I beg.

All I'm hearing is "daily quests are now more annoying to get every day", needing to run around and grab them like event currency. It is already painful when you forget to grab them by the statue, just auto unlock them. And if I need to turn these quests in AT the spirits rather than statue, that's EVEN MORE ANNOYING AND TIME CONSUMING.
I'm with you on this one. I never switched to aviary village as home because I prefer the size of the old one, so if I would have to go to aviary village to run around collecting dailies and then still have to go home after to redeem them, that would be super annoying. Especially if the quests are in different realms.
@@charlotte31415 Exactly. I never switched either for the same reason. Aviary has portals and everything slightly more spaced out. It looks nicer, but it just adds extra seconds onto going places. Was pain when they had that "bug" that made the statue in the old home not function, so you had to go to aviary to get and turn quests. Plus, I doubt they'll have deep lore of a spirit asking you to go and wave to a friend haha. If anything add 4 more daily quests, so people can get some extra ones, if they want the extra effort.
In beta testing, they still have the regular statue to turn and receive quests, so I imagine that this is nothing more than an alternative. You will more than likely still be able to use the normal shrine.

Please Revamp the way we recollect our winged lights after an Eden run. 200 plus winged lights to collect is pure agony and unnecessary punishment for us skids. Can we automatically have them replaced on our capes in Eden Orb??? 😅 🙏🙏🙏
I don’t mind too much having to recollect the spirits after Eden, but I loathe having to do the trials to collect those wing lights … cos they take me absolutely ages!!! 😖😵💫

i believe the marching spirit youre referring to is a seasonal spirit from assembly, therefore it would not show up in the temple !
