Rest in peace, Sir Terry! Here is the great Togmeister, cracking up to a letter from St. John McCockles . . . . ! Oh, what mirth!
Very saddened to hear Terry has died today, he was more than a 'celebrity', more a friend of the family. Radio will never be the same again.

My favourite ever was him being set up by the team with a "letter" from "Xavier Onanis"- which he pronounced first in near perfect Spanish, and was taken, step by step, from " Havier Onasis" to "Zavier Ownasses" to "Save your.. Brilliant radio

I used to listen to Terry every day when I was a trucker in the UK in the eighties. Gawd, what unique humour; you just don't hear the like of it now. Anyhow, I must go and fish my bicycle out of the duckpond.
