This is so touching and cool at the same time
Not so touching when they included a scene of him creeping on his supposed mom 🤣
I really liked this anime. The MC is raised and trained by legends of the distant past who raise him as if he was their own son/grandson. Still got potential for the future.
And, unlike many other RPG like stories/ Isekai, MC really act like true Paladin (Celibate, smite evil, religious, etc)

I really liked this anime. An Isekai where the main character isn't overpowered (He's definitely powerful, but he can't do everything by himself), doesn't have a harem, and where he's still beset by the insecurities he had in his previous life and has to get over them. I'm really looking forward to season 2.
What I particularly like is it's just the insecurities from his past life, and they aren't constant. We're rarely reminded he's from another world. You could honestly remove every reference to his past life in this season, and it wouldn't hurt the story - you'd still have a solid swords & sorcery fantasy anime. Kinda feels like it's based on a D&D campaign someone played, a la Goblin Slayer.

This series legit is aimed towards ppl that liked the world setting and its laws. Series definitely goes into details on words of powers and why those are important to cast magic and contacting spirits.
Yeah, it really does and I think that's why it isn't rated higher. I personally like that stuff so I'm not gonna complain about it but I can see why some people wouldn't like this anime because of how much detail it goes into about the world.

i loved this anime, it doesn’t have a love interest as a main plot and is really good at slowly informing the viewer about the world, as the main character does not know much about the outside world. this is one of my favourite types of shows, the main character learning more about their world while the viewer does the same!

Unfortunately the anime shows less emotion for the Mac than in the manga. In the manga he had browner hair and had a more mature stature which makes me feel like they’re completely different characters. The anime also toned down a lotta important scenes which make his interactions seem pointless
this show was really good, first arc hits you hard in the feels

Will going full luchadore on a dragon before breaking it's neck with his bare hands was pretty epic.
The main character is doing a paladin's path. A religious warrior of light who uses the blessings of the goddess of life. This anime reminds me a lot of Final fantasy. Warriors of light blessed by a goddess to fight demons and Chaos.
yep. he is a paladin of sort who can use spells based on faith of his goddess, Gracefeel, the goddess of torch, rebirth and journey(to the afterlife/next life) and some magic (word based spell casting) as well ridiculous superhuman strength/endurance. the author did mentioned that this manga/anime borrow heavily from D&D. imo, the opening/prologue before he start his adventures is somewhat most original/refreshing take of this isekai manga/isekai.

Ok let me tell you do not expect a season 2 it has plenty of material sure but volume 3 ends after going all over the place on their way to fight a dragon and a hoard of demons volume 4 starts oh by the way dragon is dead and has been for months now in fact the first mention of it is chapter 2 where you go back in time a few months but the dragon is already dead and still just a veage mention at best and they keep teasing you and there are just fragments of stories everywhere volume 1 and 2 and done right and the you see the start of a dumpster fire in volume 2s epilogue see the dumpster fire taking place throughout volume 3 and volume 4 no hope of recovery
Oh to add insult to injury he gets a new power up after the dragon but only in mention and oh hey weapons broken oh yeah remember that weapon that had sentimental value to you and broke now it's a dagger and here are some random ass npcs to give it too yeah he had it salvaged and then for some God forsaken reason gave it away and we learn that for plot the dragon power up was also plot also the God of undeath likes him enough to give him a prophecy he will die if he fights the dragon his own God confirms he will likely die if he tries to kill the dragon so he goes to kill the dragon meets up with gus because plot and then nothing is mentioned about that meeting even though 4 other people hes constantly with meet him just what was the author on
I swear I have no idea what this anime is but my hamster decided to step on my phone and open the link, and actually liked the video. I don't have the heart to dislike.

I love this anime, it introduced me to the manga. It reminds me of the classic fantasy, a coming of age story of a boy rising into a champion. He makes friends, companions, grows to be a man his family would be proud of.
Will in the manga has grown into a respectable and honourable man. I hope they animate the rest, its such a treat! There's a new character that Will helps that pays homage to The Hobbit. I'm not sure if its intentional, but it was thrilling!

I do love that Will is given a backstory that we are able to witness from the very beginning, literally growing up and into a soon-to-be hero, but not without having dealt with loss. Especially, given getting an attachment to his adopted parents, who (seemingly) won’t just come back on a whim due to being undead

Oh! This is one of my favorite stories! The manga’s a lot further and the novel’s finished (and a bit better than the anime adaptation in my opinion) if anyone’s interested in reading either
This was a good anime. Not amazing but a refreshing pallet cleanser with a simple story about adventure and characters worth watching.
One problem, Will did not kill the god. He only destroyed his avatar.
The bishop may be rude and uncouth, but he definitely deserves respect.
This basically is a DnD campaign with a paladin, a scout, a warrior, a merchant and a bard

This was an anime that I wanted to watch simply from a short clip I watched of it. MAN. WHAT AN ANIME. Definitely one of my top animes.
The manga is better. But the anime has it's own charm.
Gus seriously looks so weird without his nose being bigger. I’m just so used to seeing him with his old man nose in the manga, that seeing the smaller one in the anime is so off putting
