you did not mention healthcare opitions, hospitals, restaurants, dental clinics, and supermarkets. more safe areas near town to live, etc. distance to Panama city and nearest Airport.😢
Azuero is not as hot but really is much more humid than Arizona in spring and summer! I've lived in both Phoenix and Chitre, I can speak from first hand experience! It does rain a lot in Chitre even though it is probably less than Panama City. If you live in that area, it IS humid all year, it is pretty hot all year except December and January, then it is a bit cooler and drier!
Yeah I lived in Las Tablas and the owner offered to sell me the house for $24K. It was far from a dump! 3BR 2BA, covered car port, patios front and back, fenced, near the highway, and in a quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac. You don't need to spend 6 figures for a house there!
My girlfriend and I will be on a tour of Panama coming up in February. We are working on our Spanish, and very excited. Our hope is that Panama will be our destination of choice for our early years of retirement, likely as snowbirds.
The time to purchase property in Chitré is now, as prices are a steal. Houses are selling for 35% less than they were before the pandemic. You could buy a two-story beachfront home with a pool for just US$300,000

There are a number of homes for less than $150,000. Rents are about 50% less than in Boquete. It's much warmer though.

When you arrives to the Tocumen airport, go to the Metro train straigh to Albrook bus terminal, and there a bus to Chitre and thats it.
Is the plane a small charter or larger like the one that's flies to Bocas del toro ?

@@Liveandinvestoverseas It seems to me someone is taking advantage of you. 300,000 is way too high for a house in Chitré.
