Am I the only one who really enjoys the concept of these sections? Instead of boosting the whole level, have mach speed sections combined with other levels with more free and open level design!
I can only imagine how fast sonic would be if sonic manages to combine *light speed* and *mach speed* with the *boost* Kind of like ssjb and the kaioken
@@clam379 I can agree but as long as they make the controls pretty good then it'll just add a layer of challenge instead of it being just a pain, I feel it's more immersive to control the turning but I think it'd be good to make it optional
This game, remade in the hedgehog engine, added support for all those beta things that were better, a little bit of a speed up and remastered graphics and boom! Sonic The Hedgehog XD
I will never understand how did this game make it to shelves. Unfortunate, because I loved the art direction and soundtrack. Even the story was very cool. I wish they would remaster it and make it into the game it was meant to be.

@@knuckson8304 Then it would be very unbalanced. There's a reason why there's only 4 of these sections, its because they're somehow tied to the plot. Well it depends on how they handle it, but still.
These running levels really should come back, they are meant to show the speed of Sonic and I like that to be the thing and other levels be more adventure like.
NGL this is better than the boost tbh. In the boost, you're just forced to go in a straight line... which'd get boring after a while. Honestly man, this game could've been a smash success if it just wasn't poorly done.

Despite the game being rushed, it had decent graphics, Silver's a cool character, and the music is amazing. I just realized how fricken' pointless the mach speed sections in Wave Ocean and Kingdom Valley are. In both of them, we're supposed to catch up to Eggman's ship, but it either gets away anyway or just crashes and burns
I never understood the Egg Carrier getting away. Like this is Sonic the Hedgehog. He can run faster than the speed of sound. It's been well established at this point. Yet he can't catch the Egg Carrier? Okay in Kingdom Valley it was understandable as it crashed but in Wave Ocean you're telling me Sonic couldn't have jumped? Or had Tails fly him up? Not to mention why did they go back to they city? It was RIGHT THERE! Gah. I do not understand Sonics logic in this game fr haha.
@Mihnea Bărbulescu i like all of them my favorites are radical train and kingdom valley maybe if sega ever decides to do the adventure gameplay again they can bring back the mach speed sections only except the mach speed sections play like the boost gameplay
I remember i always messed up on Crisis City. Then, one day my Dad got mad at me for not taking out the garbage, and he turned off my TV while i was on the level and i was so mad. I come back from taking out the trash and it said i BEAT the level 😳😳

Sonic games need to do away with the 2D gameplay and stuff i jus want Long missions of this mach speed gameplay. Wide open areas, running super fast trying to not to run into anything. That jus seems like the perfect sonic game to me

I like what they did in later games, where you switch lanes instead of turn. Turning at mach speed is just too hard to control.

I think that’s the thing that made me never finish the game 😭😭
On top of that, the game doesn't save automatically, so you'll always to remember to save EVERY time when you complete something.
