I've had a "feeling" about this for years. Literally years. Little by little I have an OK storage system acquired. I wish my family agreed with me, but at least I have bought stuff here and there and can weather a fairly serious lockdown again. Just do it little by little and you will be amazed how much stuff you end up with. I help the homeless by rotating each new year and giving. It make me feel good. By the way, I live in a 530 sq. foot apartment. I have some under the bed, some in my clothes closet and even some in unused areas of the bathroom. There's NO EXCUSE. I once went on a college choir tour to Cancun, and in our free time of course, we went to the beach. Well, I didn't know that the little red flags were a warning of the undertow. So, I went out into the water to just ride the waves and just kinda drift. I was only in chest-deep water and didn't realize I was in danger until I tried to swim back. But even though my heart was racing and I truly thought I may drown out there, I did not panic but allowed myself to relax and ride the waves when they pushed me toward shore. Then, I'd swim for all I was worth while it was pulling back out. Yet seconds later, I knew I would be pushed toward shore again so I'd just totally relax. Eventually, I was in only knee-deep water and although the current was still too strong for my worn-out legs, a colleague was able to grab my hand and pull me with him (he had also been caught in it with me). I have always believed that the fact I didn't panic saved my life.
Listening to you I am amazed at how my brain has been functioning over the last two years. I don’t have everything but I’m more prepared today than I was in 2019

Just a small issue...but make sure you have a secure place for your garbage. Vermin, pests and digusting smells might become an issue during the 30 day home arrest. Appreciate what you do. God be with us all
Great video lots of great ideas. I would recommend security bars on every door leading outside and maybe an extra one in case of home invasion. Spices can change rice and beans and keep food from being boring. Before considering using a fireplace be sure to have it cleaned to prevent possibly burning your house down. Family games or puzzles could help connect your family and add fun to the lockdown.
We actually had 2 hours notice of it where I live in UK. 24 hours would have been good. Luckily, I have used your channel and others for advice. I’m not a religious person but I was already well prepared and taking a deep breath to start was a good thing.
Please consider turning your life over to Christ. Ask Him for forgiveness of your sins. Ask him to be your savior. As Him to give you discernment. Pray for direction. It can’t hurt you, for sure! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Let me add one Your pantry is a living breathing thing. If you use something replace it. In 2020 we had to live out of our pantry for from 10-30 days on FOUR separate occasions. The initial lockdown, 2 hurricanes that took out our power for a very long time, and then the icing on the cake the hubby and I both got COVID at the same time and had to isolate. Our pantry saved our butts. After each occurrence I put in the time and effort to rebuild the pantry. One thing I would say needs to be in every pantry is heat and eat things soups, stews or whatever your family will eat. With both of us sick at one point neither was up to do anything more than quickly heat up food. Real cooking had to wait. Just no energy to do anything else.
Thank you! Tbjs was very helpful. I an a senior on a fixed income and started my prepping journey in 2016. I have some holes in my preps. But am working on them this week. God bless thank you for being there doing Our Lords work.
I’m new to your channel and have been learning a lot, so thank you. But thank you especially today for the last step, to rest and trust God. I was watching for the information, but got a blessing as well. My family has been going through a difficult situation, and I have been worried and seeing some old anxiety flare up. Your statement just brought me to tears. Thank you so much for reminding me that God is always in control and He cares about every situation we are in. God bless you ♥️
Cut the tops off carrots, beetroot etc... (organic is best) place in a shellow dish with water... This way you can grow edible greens on your windowsill. Rich in vitamins.
Watched this yesterday. While I Had been shoring up my preps for the last week, replacing what’s been used thru holidays etc. today, Health Dept called, contact tracers said the stylist who-cut my hair on weekend tested covid positive. Zero minutes notice of quarantine. Ty for a reminder of couple of forgotten items that I actually procured Before I got THE PHONE CALL. 👍💖. Thanks again & blessings be on you, sister. 🙏🏽
Prepsteader, after the presidential election in November 20,, I felt that I had kinda followed some preppers into a rabbit hole. Noting happened like they all said it would. In fact I felt foolish for listening to them. Evil won it and as disappointing as that is,,, we went on. However,, as the months drifted on I was happy you posted this video. Because of your video, my family was literally prepared for any "situation"... like the big freeze in Texas where we live. And we survived the BIG freeze! And our electric generator operated our house like we never lost main line electricity! We had all the food we wanted and never stepped into a store for anything. For the first time in a long time we all felt we had done something right!! Thank YOU!!
Excellent and informative video covering a diverse set of issues! One point I would alter: have cash but only in small bills. If you need to buy a bottle of water and all you have is a $50 bill, that bottle just became $50 to buy. It is best to only show minimal amounts of money. Also, if you must travel with money, carry it in separate amounts in different places on your body, out of sight. God bless you for bringing so much information to us!
So true! I used to buy tons of gallon bottles of distilled water, and kept them in my garage. Just about all of them developed pinprick sized holes, and had leaked and gone dry. It's much more worthwhile to purchase appropriate water storage.
@@jeanneappleweed7179 Same thing happened to me! All the gallon distilled water bottles l stored, leaked out; all the water in other containers seem fine!
Muslim, but respects all religions. Put God first, for he will never let you down. Preps can be destroyed, so always have money to move to a safer state of country before the crap hits the fan. th-cam.com/video/WkjwpL8LOgI/w-d-xo.html
I prefer Coleman lanterns and stoves with extra fuel, not only provides light but also heat. My camping gear has always served as backup for cooking and heating when power goes down. Just remember to have good ventilation or being without power will be the least of your problems.
😎 A rocket stove build simply in the backyard and away from the house. You need twigs, sticks and pinecones for fuel. Great way to cook, as if you are camping.
Hi Christa! Hope you are doing great. This is a wonderful video. I love that you started it with recommending prayer. That is truly the best way to prepare for anything. And all your other recommendations are wonderful. I wanted to share that Costco and Sam’s both sell tarps and they are quite reasonable. They do come in so handy especially if, as you shared, the roof leaks (or a window breaks) in a storm. And I have to thank you for the recommendation of the oil lamp. When I was a child, we grew up with them!! And I had forgot about them!! But about a year ago, I bought one like the one you show. It’s great. I am very intrigued by the CAT charger. Thank you so much for sharing!! Stay safe. Love and God Bless, Mary
@Mary's Nest just be careful of what oil you use, some are toxic (i'm speaking of lamp oils).Also, note that centuries ago, they used olive oil because it's not flammable. Solar lights are good too!💜🙏
Another amazing video. I am pretty much ready and yes we have God in our hearts. Good shall prevail and the meek SHALL inherit the Earth! We believe! We send peace and love from Canada. We stand together with you, our neighbors. Peace and love to you and ALL of us!!!
You sure helped me think of some things I didn’t know existed, but that I need. I’m also glad you put a link to see the product, and reminded us that Amazon is not the only retailer
as I sit here and watch this video, I can't help but thank God for the many blessings He has given me. When you mentioned milk, I considered my goats, eggs and I thought of the hens in the chicken coop. I make milk soaps and have made butter and cheese from the excess goat milk. I had a small garden last year, but am planning much more for this garden season. I see a cattle panel greenhouse in the near future, already have nearly everything to build it except good weather! sleet and freezing rain are in the forecast again tonight so I will fix the fire and enjoy a few more videos and scripture reading before bedtime. Thank you for doing what God has clearly called you to & blessings to you and yours.
Great video for our temporary provisions for hopefully a temporary 30 day lockdown situation, but for the long term depending on the situation as you mentioned, we simply have to trust that God will ultimately provide our needs, our bread and water, he says shall be sure. Love that you put alot of emphasis on the Spiritual. We sure do have to seek first the Kingdom of God and everything else will fall into place. For He is our soul provider, protector, sustainer our all in all. Glory be to God most high.
Yes that's a good idea, but could attract unwanted attention. Scavenging people, animals, or somebody could report you to some authorities for fire hazard, especially if you don't share your provisions with them. Hard to keep the smell of food&fire from wafting in the air.
Hey Guys, Build an EMP cage and put your Emergency Electronics in there. LED's are EMP prone so put them for after EMP event and wait awhile before taking them out. Generators are EMP prone. Store them, USE STEEL 55 Gallon Barrels with steel tops battery chargers, batteries (rechargeable) hand crank devices, radios, transmitters. Do not forget to line the steel barrel with non conducting material (cardboard, plastic, paper) so it does NOT touch the metal barrel. Find and Acquire a "KJV CONCORDANCE" for your KJV Bible. It makes your research much easier. Hint: Book of Leviticus is a survival book in your Bible. Famine (one of the warnings of GOD) will last several years. NOTE : Solar panels have diodes, purchase extras and EMP protect them. Don't forget extra gas, its going to be a long time. MAY GOD HELP YOU.
Who would downvote this? She’s doing an excellent job of helping others prepare ahead of time. It could be a job loss, earth quake, anything. Thank you for this video
Thank you! Thank you for everything you do! Its been very stressful in the past year and I am so glad that you have not put politics in your videos! Although you have let us know what could happen, you and Alaska Prepper have always done it in a way where ALL people can feel like we are one team. I love you sister, you are one of the few videos i have kept and followed! Keep doing what youre doing!!! 💖💖🙏🏽
You can also make clay pot heaters with flower pots & candles (lots of online vids). Also, don't forget to download map & communication apps to phones & laptops! If you don't have wood for boarding up windows, look at closet doors, headboards, and dresser tops. Lastly, look to get a mini propane cooking surface.
You won't have social media to depend on in a SHTF situation. Print things out and keep them in binders. Laminate important things like maps. Even print out recipes. You won't have the internet to look things up. Print out food substitutions. Have manuals handy for generators or things you don't use often for troubleshooting things.
The Lord truly works in mysterious ways !!! Just this morning the thought popped in my head-'The worst thing about a grid down situation would be the lack of a toilet'. I watched your video, and now my "Luggable Loo" will be here Friday !! I had never heard of them, God Bless you and yours !!
I love this video and have seen many other of your videos. Somehow I haven’t seen this one until now but we are big time prepares. Only thing I might add if I may is sugar, honey, molasses, tea and coffee. Thank you for all your time, love and caring in sharing this information. May we all be as prepared as possible and know God will take care of us as we care for ourselves. He gave us a brain and he expects us to use it. Take care of yourself and others as you are able.
This is an excellent video on how (and what) to have to get through any emergency situation. I do have a problem with what you have titled of the video. Frankly if a person waits until 24 hours before an emergency situation to start preparing you are going to find all the essential items you are out shopping for long gone from the shelves. You are just going to find yourself in the middle of crowds of equally desperate and empty handed people. Also, how often does someone get 24 hours advance notice about an emergency? The actual advice in the video is sound - make a list as you watch the video then get going tomorrow to start checking off your list. Don't be discouraged if your list is long and you feel you don't have the money to do anything meaningful - start small and and just keep adding to your supplies. Next week you will find yourself better prepared than today and next month even more so. The important thing is to start.
Was this one of the most inspired posts on all of TH-cam? Great tips🌟👍I’m glad I subscribed to your channel because of this knowledge you’re imparting to the rest of us. Thank you for mentioning the Heavenly Father too🙏
These are all great tips and i thank you profoundly for sharing with us all your time and effort in putting this together. 1. I would enjoy some tips on how to store these items. 2. During lockdown is the perfect time to go over your life insurance poilcy (ya'll DO have one on each person, right?) and have it updated if needed. Very good video. I’m a widower and live alone. I must say I have plenty of what you’re showing plus other things. In these trying times, we don’t know what will happen. God bless you for your informative videos. Our Lord and savior will will watch over us.
My goal is to join the Vanlife movement, so I found this information helpful. One of my favorite items is a Coleman sleeping bag that is good to 20 degrees. I purchased it at Walmart.
If you have time, space and a green thumb, consider raising some microgreens at home. Also, grow some sprouts from seed....it's easy to do and the nutritional content is off the chain.
Living in Europe, and being locked down / up (as you wish) a couple of times already, I can state there is no better feeling than being stocked up; watching the scenes of panic buying on the tv, while you put your feet up and take it easy. Buy 3 of everything at least. And you cannot have enough gasoline/diesel.
Thank you for being a voice of reason and not a fear monger. This is not about selling fear but about encouraging having a plan to deal with things that could happen. You are a voice of honesty in this dark world working to spread the word.
Regular milk can be frozen for later use. If you have a generator you can keep it frozen by only running the generator a couple hours at a time. It doesn't have to be constant.
Thank you for your excellent suggestions. I have everything except a generator (I live in an apt) but I do have a solar shortwave radio and small power bank. I would like to suggest also a CB radio as a means of communication when all other communication is down. Also stock up on batteries.😊💖🙏
This has been pretty weird as it seems I've been unsubscribed 3-4 times lately and noticed I hadn't gotten any notifications for a month or so now either. It's also pretty sad that we even have to consider all these extra steps with a new administration coming on board ! This honestly doesn't bode well for the future of this country IMHO but I've been stocked to the rafters for years now , with years of supplies on hand, so no real issues here and water is no issue sense I live on a stream that just gush's out of the mountain 500 yards above me with no structures in between and I normally store 1or 2 ,,55 gallon barrels of water anyways. I do pray for the folks that aren't prepared though and am ready to help out my very few neighbors that may not be. Another awesome video Miss Christa.. I like to keep life simple. Fewer things to get compromised. Also when assessing stocks of cleaning products, personal care products, shelf stable foods, etc. I like to use the old prepers adage: "Three is two.. two is one.. one is none.." God's continued blessings today and every day..
Thanks Christa yes indeed start the day with prayer and end it there too. Lots of very good points but I must say if someone wait 24 hours to write out a plan, that's way too late. Today is the day to prepare the mind for disaster/shutdown, remind yourself from time to time by taking mind tests so it becomes automatic then write down instructions in case you panic.
Wonderful video as always. Ma'am, you are probably the most wholesome and caring person I know of. I wish you were my neighbor. I thank you again for your videos and your time to make them. God Bless you and yours.
Wonderful video! Thank you! And thank you for encouraging us to make seeking the Lord our number one priority.... when we rise and when we lie down. This video was beautifully laid out and a great encouragement. Thank you.

Check out products made by Jackery. They have rugged battery systems with large solar panels available that fold easily for storage. Non-fuel long term power sources should be an important part of any prepers arsenal. Add a bicycle to the transportation list.
I have been collecting propane tanks for while... during power outages (once for 6 days) I put a propane lantern on a tank outside the patio door in the evenings. I have a generator, run a cord in the window and close a towel on it. Power up the entertainment center, wood stove blower and refrigerator. We have outdoor cooking equipment and other camping stuff
Excellent video and gentle reminders about purchasing locally. Thank you Christa. Also purchase from people with eBay stores, Wash all your clothing! Vacuum the house. Prepare a meal in advance to heat later. Hard Boil eggs.
I work nights and live in an old house. Make sure everything is off before I leave. Came home this morning to a power surge that killed my heaters. It really is miserable to try and sleep in 40 or 50 degrees !! I was exhausted from work and just lay down in my jacket and clothes and covered up. I'm trying to be prepared but found my self cold and tired and realized how much I depend on a bedroom space heater and an electric blanket. I found I didn't have things in place at all.
That’s a good point. Before the power does go back on unplug your appliances etc. or, have surge protector strips. Frig, tv and computers, heaters ar at risk. Leave a light switch in on position in area your most likely to be in so, you know when the power is back on. Then, plug in a few at a time so you don’t overload your circuits. This is true for any power outage.
Thank you... your voice and demeanor is mesmerizing and a pleasure to hear. I watched the video on the Kelly kettle your explanation was epic and easy to understand in a very chronological order. 👍
Thank you! It's a lot to take in, although I have been prepping to some degree for decades...but there are always things I don't have, partly because of space at this point in my life. But it's always good to get ideas and suggestions. And I just love your spirit. God bless.

In the Navy we say that step 1 is "Don't Panic." Taking the time to meditate or pray is a GREAT first step for any project.
I once went on a college choir tour to Cancun, and in our free time of course, we went to the beach. Well, I didn't know that the little red flags were a warning of the undertow. B-but panicking my thing...
Being prepared will help elevate the urge to panic. Sadly, too many have not paid attention and now things are heading down hill fast.

2 hours notice for a lockdown? Lockdown for how long? Hope you and yours are alright!
Definitely start your every day in the presence of God.
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! That’s the Real KEY 🔑✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Jesus is my savior!
~~~ YES GOD'S JOY.....
Thank you! Tbjs was very helpful.
I an a senior on a fixed income and started my prepping journey in 2016.
I have some holes in my preps. But am working on them this week.
God bless thank you for being there doing Our Lords work.
I’m new to your channel and have been learning a lot, so thank you. But thank you especially today for the last step, to rest and trust God. I was watching for the information, but got a blessing as well. My family has been going through a difficult situation, and I have been worried and seeing some old anxiety flare up. Your statement just brought me to tears. Thank you so much for reminding me that God is always in control and He cares about every situation we are in. God bless you ♥️
Cut the tops off carrots, beetroot etc... (organic is best) place in a shellow dish with water... This way you can grow edible greens on your windowsill. Rich in vitamins.
What a blessing to have found you! Just watching and making a plan helps me to feel less worried for the future. 🙏
Watched this yesterday. While I Had been shoring up my preps for the last week, replacing what’s been used thru holidays etc. today, Health Dept called, contact tracers said the stylist who-cut my hair on weekend tested covid positive. Zero minutes notice of quarantine. Ty for a reminder of couple of forgotten items that I actually procured Before I got THE PHONE CALL. 👍💖. Thanks again & blessings be on you, sister. 🙏🏽
Coat your eggs with oil, I use coconut oil, before refrigerating. They will last beyond 30 days.
@Jean thank you, just got some.👌💜🙏
Thanks for this tip.
Buy unwashed eggs and keep on counter several WEEKS
Good to know
Wow, thank you; l hadn’t heard that before!
Prepsteader, after the presidential election in November 20,, I felt that I had kinda followed some preppers into a rabbit hole. Noting happened like they all said it would. In fact I felt foolish for listening to them. Evil won it and as disappointing as that is,,, we went on.
However,, as the months drifted on I was happy you posted this video. Because of your video, my family was literally prepared for any "situation"... like the big freeze in Texas where we live. And we survived the BIG freeze! And our electric generator operated our house like we never lost main line electricity! We had all the food we wanted and never stepped into a store for anything. For the first time in a long time we all felt we had done something right!! Thank YOU!!
Excellent and informative video covering a diverse set of issues! One point I would alter: have cash but only in small bills. If you need to buy a bottle of water and all you have is a $50 bill, that bottle just became $50 to buy. It is best to only show minimal amounts of money. Also, if you must travel with money, carry it in separate amounts in different places on your body, out of sight. God bless you for bringing so much information to us!
Thank you Crista. Your light shines bright on these dark days. Peace be with you.
No milk jugs for water. Milk jugs decompose on the shelf. Leaks are a given in a relatively short time. Juice or soda bottles are much better.
So true! I used to buy tons of gallon bottles of distilled water, and kept them in my garage. Just about all of them developed pinprick sized holes, and had leaked and gone dry. It's much more worthwhile to purchase appropriate water storage.
I like the gal sized Gatorade bottles. They're square and store well.
@@jeanneappleweed7179
Same thing happened to me! All the gallon distilled water bottles l stored, leaked out; all the water in other containers seem fine!
Doesn’t water go bad after a while just sitting in improperly sealed cartons
Used bleach containers & fill with water,it can store safely up to 1 year
I love the way you started preparing with scriptures. 🍀
Me Too!
Put God first, for he will never let you down. Preps can be destroyed, so always have money to move to a safer state of country before the crap hits the fan.
Me: "What if I eat the scriptures and kill two birds with one stone?"
God: "NO."
Candles and matches, lighters, flashlights a must.
I prefer Coleman lanterns and stoves with extra fuel, not only provides light but also heat. My camping gear has always served as backup for cooking and heating when power goes down. Just remember to have good ventilation or being without power will be the least of your problems.
😎 A rocket stove build simply in the backyard and away from the house. You need twigs, sticks and pinecones for fuel. Great way to cook, as if you are camping.
Hi Christa! Hope you are doing great. This is a wonderful video. I love that you started it with recommending prayer. That is truly the best way to prepare for anything. And all your other recommendations are wonderful. I wanted to share that Costco and Sam’s both sell tarps and they are quite reasonable. They do come in so handy especially if, as you shared, the roof leaks (or a window breaks) in a storm. And I have to thank you for the recommendation of the oil lamp. When I was a child, we grew up with them!! And I had forgot about them!! But about a year ago, I bought one like the one you show. It’s great. I am very intrigued by the CAT charger. Thank you so much for sharing!! Stay safe. Love and God Bless, Mary
@Mary's Nest just be careful of what oil you use, some are toxic (i'm speaking of lamp oils).Also, note that centuries ago, they used olive oil because it's not flammable. Solar lights are good too!💜🙏
@@JR-zm2yu - Thanks so much for the info!! Yes, I will use olive oil. 🤗
Also check dollarama and dollartree the sell tarps too in some stores 😊 (in canada 🇨🇦)
@G-man thanks for the info
Another amazing video. I am pretty much ready and yes we have God in our hearts. Good shall prevail and the meek SHALL inherit the Earth! We believe! We send peace and love from Canada. We stand together with you, our neighbors. Peace and love to you and ALL of us!!!
Your beautiful ❤ California here ! Thanks for sharing the Word !
You sure helped me think of some things I didn’t know existed, but that I need. I’m also glad you put a link to see the product, and reminded us that Amazon is not the only retailer
Love how you suggested going to the mom and pop stores instead of Amazon. Nothing against Amazon. This was so helpful
One thing I would add to the list is communion supplies.
as I sit here and watch this video, I can't help but thank God for the many blessings He has given me. When you mentioned milk, I considered my goats, eggs and I thought of the hens in the chicken coop. I make milk soaps and have made butter and cheese from the excess goat milk. I had a small garden last year, but am planning much more for this garden season. I see a cattle panel greenhouse in the near future, already have nearly everything to build it except good weather! sleet and freezing rain are in the forecast again tonight so I will fix the fire and enjoy a few more videos and scripture reading before bedtime. Thank you for doing what God has clearly called you to & blessings to you and yours.
Great video for our temporary provisions for hopefully a temporary 30 day lockdown situation, but for the long term depending on the situation as you mentioned, we simply have to trust that God will ultimately provide our needs, our bread and water, he says shall be sure. Love that you put alot of emphasis on the Spiritual. We sure do have to seek first the Kingdom of God and everything else will fall into place. For He is our soul provider, protector, sustainer our all in all. Glory be to God most high.
Thank you Christa!! One thing you didn't bring up was having an outdoor grill..enough propane or charcoal briguettes and matches or lighters on hand.
Yes that's a good idea, but could attract unwanted attention. Scavenging people, animals, or somebody could report you to some authorities for fire hazard, especially if you don't share your provisions with them. Hard to keep the smell of food&fire from wafting in the air.
@@poopdotzilla6192 Dang I didn't think of that.
Most of my neighbors have propane grills, so I wouldn’t be worried about that. Everyone will be using theirs
What beautiful, wise blessing you are to so many! Praying, preparing and resting in His peace!
Hey Guys, Build an EMP cage and put your Emergency Electronics in there.
LED's are EMP prone so put them for after EMP event and wait awhile before taking them out.
Generators are EMP prone. Store them, USE STEEL 55 Gallon Barrels with steel tops
battery chargers, batteries (rechargeable) hand crank devices, radios, transmitters.
Do not forget to line the steel barrel with non conducting material (cardboard, plastic, paper) so it does NOT touch the metal barrel.
Thank you! Thank you for everything you do! Its been very stressful in the past year and I am so glad that you have not put politics in your videos! You can also make clay pot heaters with flower pots & candles (lots of online vids). Also, don't forget to download map & communication apps to phones & laptops! If you don't have wood for boarding up windows, look at closet doors, headboards, and dresser tops. Lastly, look to get a mini propane cooking surface.
You won't have social media to depend on in a SHTF situation. Print things out and keep them in binders. Laminate important things like maps. Even print out recipes. You won't have the internet to look things up. Print out food substitutions. Have manuals handy for generators or things you don't use often for troubleshooting things.
I never even thought about using inside doors, thank you so much for that idea!!!
@@Jomama02 Thankyou! yes there will be no internet also have a Bible God bless 💞
Thank you for your closing advices for ppl in these times of tyrrany and fear. It's most welcome.
I love this video and have seen many other of your videos. Somehow I haven’t seen this one until now but we are big time prepares. Only thing I might add if I may is sugar, honey, molasses, tea and coffee. Thank you for all your time, love and caring in sharing this information. May we all be as prepared as possible and know God will take care of us as we care for ourselves. He gave us a brain and he expects us to use it. Take care of yourself and others as you are able.
This is an excellent video on how (and what) to have to get through any emergency situation. I do have a problem with what you have titled of the video. Frankly if a person waits until 24 hours before an emergency situation to start preparing you are going to find all the essential items you are out shopping for long gone from the shelves. You are just going to find yourself in the middle of crowds of equally desperate and empty handed people. Also, how often does someone get 24 hours advance notice about an emergency? The actual advice in the video is sound - make a list as you watch the video then get going tomorrow to start checking off your list. Don't be discouraged if your list is long and you feel you don't have the money to do anything meaningful - start small and and just keep adding to your supplies. Next week you will find yourself better prepared than today and next month even more so. The important thing is to start.
Thus, she is opening eyes now, so people won't wait until 24 hrs before lockdown, the Lord has lead her for years....God is Good!
Was this one of the most inspired posts on all of TH-cam? My goal is to join the Vanlife movement, so I found this information helpful. One of my favorite items is a Coleman sleeping bag that is good to 20 degrees. I purchased it at Walmart.
If you have time, space and a green thumb, consider raising some microgreens at home. Also, grow some sprouts from seed....it's easy to do and the nutritional content is off the chain.
Nice job. My family has prepared for the last 5 or more years and and are very ready. You covered complex subject very well. Thank you.
Living in Europe, and being locked down / up (as you wish) a couple of times already,
I can state there is no better feeling than being stocked up; watching the scenes of panic buying on the tv,
while you put your feet up and take it easy.
Buy 3 of everything at least. And you cannot have enough gasoline/diesel.
Right! Two is one and one is NONE.
Yes, two is one and one is none.
Such a timely video and how you started it and end it is the most important of all.
Genesis 2:2&3. Exodus 20:8-11.
Thank you for being a voice of reason and not a fear monger. This is not about selling fear but about encouraging having a plan to deal with things that could happen. You are a voice of honesty in this dark world working to spread the word.
Regular milk can be frozen for later use. If you have a generator you can keep it frozen by only running the generator a couple hours at a time. It doesn't have to be constant.
Freezing milk will also help the freezer keep food longer..better to fill gaps with bottles of milk than bottles of water.
I use frozen milk to make rice pudding... .
Can also can it.
Thank you for your excellent suggestions. I have everything except a generator (I live in an apt) but I do have a solar shortwave radio and small power bank. I would like to suggest also a CB radio as a means of communication when all other communication is down. Also stock up on batteries.😊💖🙏
This has been pretty weird as it seems I've been unsubscribed 3-4 times lately and noticed I hadn't gotten any notifications for a month or so now either. It's also pretty sad that we even have to consider all these extra steps with a new administration coming on board !
This honestly doesn't bode well for the future of this country IMHO but I've been stocked to the rafters for years now , with years of supplies on hand, so no real issues here and water is no issue sense I live on a stream that just gush's out of the mountain 500 yards above me with no structures in between and I normally store 1or 2 ,,55 gallon barrels of water anyways. I do pray for the folks that aren't prepared though and am ready to help out my very few neighbors that may not be. I live way way up in the mountains of VT and we only have 4 families on this entire road but I'm here to help them if necessary.
Another awesome video Miss Christa.. I like to keep life simple. Fewer things to get compromised. Also when assessing stocks of cleaning products, personal care products, shelf stable foods, etc. I like to use the old prepers adage:
"Three is two.. two is one.. one is none.."
God's continued blessings today and every day..
Please pray and consider Genesis 2:2&3. And Exodus 20:8-11. This is the last test.
Thanks Christa yes indeed start the day with prayer and end it there too. Lots of very good points but I must say if someone wait 24 hours to write out a plan, that's way too late. Today is the day to prepare the mind for disaster/shutdown, remind yourself from time to time by taking mind tests so it becomes automatic then write down instructions in case you panic.
Yes! Pray is always first. Great video! Thank you.
BEST ADVICE
FIRST THING;PRAY AND BE THANKFUL
I work nights and live in an old house. Make sure everything is off before I leave. Came home this morning to a power surge that killed my heaters. It really is miserable to try and sleep in 40 or 50 degrees !! I was exhausted from work and just lay down in my jacket and clothes and covered up. I'm trying to be prepared but found my self cold and tired and realized how much I depend on a bedroom space heater and an electric blanket. I found I didn't have things in place at all.
Are you going to start getting what you need, including wool blankets?
@@cherylT321 I've been working on it for quite a while. I do not have wool blankets though.
That’s a good point. Before the power does go back on unplug your appliances etc. or, have surge protector strips. Frig, tv and computers, heaters ar at risk. Leave a light switch in on position in area your most likely to be in so, you know when the power is back on. Then, plug in a few at a time so you don’t overload your circuits. This is true for any power outage.
Thank you... your voice and demeanor is mesmerizing and a pleasure to hear. I watched the video on the Kelly kettle your explanation was epic and easy to understand in a very chronological order. 👍
God bless you Ms Christa. I love how you always put God first 🥰
