Where are you going and why. For you to bug out you have to have a better place to go and a safe way to travel. If things are so bad that you are having to bug out in a box cart can you imagine just how dangerous travelling will be. You will constantly be running into people who have not eaten in days and your loaded ox cart will look like the welcome wagon to them. I don't know your whole plan but it sounds like you need to talk to someone who has a good idea what things will really look like and what the real challenges will be. If half the country bugs out what will this look like. In that environment almost everyone will die no matter how well prepared you are. If you are going to survive you are going to have to kill a whole lot of people. In that situation even normally nondangerous people will become cold hearted killers when their children are starving.

I keep an old Razor scooter in the back of my truck. It takes up almost no room, is dirt cheap, has no parts to break down, and can easily propel me about 10mph with little effort. If I ever need it, I can deploy it in under five minutes.

What I used to line my garbage can was carpet, I just called our local carpet company and I told them what I wanted used carpet. So that is what I used. Also I wrapped my Ham, and C.B. gear as well as my extra short wave gear in newspaper and then I wrapped them in foil. Then put it all in my carpet lined garbage can, with a tight lid. I'm good to go.
Good idea about nesting metal boxes. They each need to be wrapped in non conducting cloth or paper. The lids need to be sealed with aluminum foil tape. Things to protect? Hand held frs radios that take AA batteries. Two solar battery chargers. Flashlights, Lots of rechargeable batteries. Try to get things that take the same size batteries. A hand held HAM radio would pick up news and info from far away. Be aware that they may follow up the first attack with another a few weeks later.

Although a nuclear blast is what most people think of when the topic of an EMP comes up, the far more probable source will be a solar storm from the sun. It's happened before, and we just missed getting hit by a huge one in 2012. A solar flare covers a huge spectrum of frequencies which makes the layering of protection all the more important. The old metal ammo cases make a good faraday cage with two tweaks. 1. Line ammo case with rubber. 2. Use a metal tape to tape the lid closed. That will keep the energy from getting to and through the rubber gasket at the top.
The see-through grid in the door of your microwave is specifically designed to block microware signal frequencies, not other frequencies. It is good you showed this. For the non-conductive liner inside your metal trash can; I suggest a heavy duty yard debris bag. Consider using multiple layers if long term or rough handling is expected. Pad any sharp corners to prevent penetration of the liner. For a non-conductive liner inside smaller containers you can use heavy duty freezer type zip lock bags. Ensure any batteries are removed from electronics and stored separately - else they can leak and corrode terminals - making your electronics useless. They're inexpensive and after the cost of purchase, you have FREE LIGHT until the little solar panels wear out -- so about 14, 15 years! I just carry mine from room to room. My daughter had an open vision when she was 4; she is now 13. The Lord showed her the letters EMP. Then showed her an igloo made of ice 🧊 with + on the top and - signs on the bottom of the igloo. Then there was a metal door with a round lock like you would see at a bank. She came and told me as the vision started. As she told me, the Lord allowed me to know what the vision meant. Get your own two way radio such as two CB radios or get your amateur radio license and get some vhf/uhf radio and a hf radio and any wire or any other types of antennas so you can communicate with others who can help you . There are a lot of ways to survive without the electric energy or the cell phone .

Good advice. With the cookie tins, you need to strip that paint and varnish around the rims -- you need metal to metal contact. With respect to computers and such, you want them unplugged from the power source -- that will be the primary transmission problem. Arthur Bradley has a good channel on EMP things. Hard to know what to expect as these problems don't occur often (thank heavens).

Great info and nearly Almost %100 correct. I did not read all 374 comments so if this was brought up i am sorry. The mini /motor bike " baja " is made in china and also sold under the " Coleman " name. It is not EMP proof. It uses an electronic ignition system. therefore you would have to have removed the components and store in your Faraday cage. Then install after the event. The only type of ignition that will survive and EMP Is the breaker point system. I would still cage the coil. wire and spark plugs will be fine.Also have the exact tools for the reinstall.and practice doing it. good luck.

For it to act as a Faraday cage, it would have to be one w/out a rubber gasket. An All-American brand pressure canner/cooker, w/ its metal-on-metal seal should work. Not sure how many other brands do metal-on-metal.
Call me crazy, but we live in Minnesota with some pretty cold weather. I got a larger garbage can for a faraday cage so that we could fit our king size electric blanket in there with our portable generator and solar panels. Warm blanket in -30 weather will feel like a godsend.

Two items we've stocked up on are kerosene heaters (three - enough to keep the home from freezing during a winter outage) and kerosene lamps (four, plus one Dietz lantern) in case the LED battery lamps are unusable.

As a firefighter paramedic I love the fact that someone finally pointed out that there WILL be a lot of "uncontrolled" fires after a nuclear EMP event. Few people ever think of this!

Great advise as always Krista. You're a true blessing. As a Ham Operator tho I'd be sure to get any radios I want to use protected. The old tube type sets might have been safe, but today's rigs are all digital and/or solid state sets. An EMP will cook em quick.
if U have an older car engine that uses points and condensers instead of electronic ignition, Ur car will still work, EMP's don't have an effect on points and condensers, that's why I have on 4 wheel drive with an engine that is a 1972 in it...
For even better protection tape the lid all the way around the seal with aluminum foil tape. Real duck tape, not the fiber stuff. it is tape that actually looks like aluminum foil but it is sticky on one side and all metal don't get the kind that is not all metal. And make sure to put that tape on the inside seams around the handles of the garbage can and the handle on the lid . Also if there is any holes in your garbage can at all keep them up with the foil tape. I would also suggest taping the seam inside of the can.it would also be wise to take anything that you would put on a memory stick or a computer laptop and make several paper copies and keep them in a fireproof safe. As we all know you cannot trust computers or memory sticks to work even without being damaged. On that note you may also want to put a printer inside of a garbage can. You also have to ground it which means you take a wire attached to the can and drive in a metal pole into the ground at least 4 to 6 feet and then attach the wire to the ground in order for it to be properly EMP proof

When we missed that kill shot a couple of years ago and they had only hours before it missed us; the government is trying to fix the problem and doing drills.I had a friend that is a wielder for nuclear plants and was working on fixing them for grid down issues. Government is moving Complete MASH units all over the country and under ground bunkers filled with meds, food, with water. They are working on putting grounders on the electrical grid and moving cables underground where ever they can. They still are not ready and it is going to take a long time to get things fixed and ready to go. They are preserving the railways; because this is going to be our only transportation for food and supplies. They are working on train motors that work on hydrogen, solar, and kinetic energy that will pull hundreds of cars across the US. We will start to see, schools, municipal buildings with convention centers, stadiums, installing alternative energy for shelter and distribution of supplies if the grid goes down. Don't expect much though, everyone will come from miles around to get supplies, and they will run out fast; and the criminals will be there. Also, they will be requiring a chip in your hand to get supplies (mark of the beast). They will use the excuse that people are getting more supplies then they are allowed. Personally I am going to forage for my food, I live within one mile of 15,000 welfare housing units. I witnessed them when their cards would not work. Good idea about nesting metal boxes. They each need to be wrapped in non conducting cloth or paper. The lids need to be sealed with aluminum foil tape.
Things to protect? Hand held frs radios that take AA batteries. Two solar battery chargers. Flashlights,
Lots of rechargeable batteries.
Try to get things that take the same size batteries. A hand held HAM radio would pick up news and info from far away.
Be aware that they may follow up the first attack with another a few weeks later.

Although a nuclear blast is what most people think of when the topic of an EMP comes up, the far more probable source will be a solar storm from the sun. It's happened before, and we just missed getting hit by a huge one in 2012. A solar flare covers a huge spectrum of frequencies which makes the layering of protection all the more important. Anyhow, very nice presentation.

If we ever have an EMP, dont take all things out at once. I've read they could do a test one, then later a more powerful one. The trick would be what they don't fry the first time, they'd get when you think over.
You need to ground the metal can with a heavy gauge wire to a ground rod, a very strong EMP will still affect the contents if you don't.

The old metal ammo cases make a good faraday cage with two tweaks.
1. Line ammo case with rubber.
2. Use a metal tape to tape the lid closed. That will keep the energy from getting to and through the rubber gasket at the top.
The see-through grid in the door of your microwave is specifically designed to block microware signal frequencies, not other frequencies. It is good you showed this.
For the non-conductive liner inside your metal trash can; I suggest a heavy duty yard debris bag. Consider using multiple layers if long term or rough handling is expected. Pad any sharp corners to prevent penetration of the liner.
For a non-conductive liner inside smaller containers you can use heavy duty freezer type zip lock bags.
Ensure any batteries are removed from electronics and stored separately - else they can leak and corrode terminals - making your electronics useless. Store them in a zip lock bag to keep out moisture before wrapping with foil and/or storing in a metal container.
These same techniques are also useful for a solar-sourced CME, not just an EMP.
In the case of an EMP: That implies WAR, including at least one nuclear explosion high in the atmosphere designed to disable the electrical and electronic infrastructure and equipment. In the instance of an EMP; realize that what happened once can and probably will happen again to disable any electronics and electrical systems that were protected from the initial attack and to completely zero-out any chance of communication, Command and Control, or infrastructure recovery. An EMP, or two, should be the expected initial aggressive act of any who intend to invade.
A good vehicle to keep back is anything 1975 or prior... Something with points style ignition...

Another wonderful video! I don't know how you find the time. You should add some Luci Lights to your stash. They are almost weightless, VERY bright, some will even charge your cell phone. They're inexpensive and after the cost of purchase, you have FREE LIGHT until the little solar panels wear out -- so about 14, 15 years! I just carry mine from room to room. The brightest setting goes for 12 hours! Amazing! My goal is to never have to use electricity for lighting again. Check them out!

My daughter had an open vision when she was 4; she is now 13. The Lord showed her the letters EMP. Then showed her an igloo made of ice 🧊 with + on the top and - signs on the bottom of the igloo. Then there was a metal door with a round lock like you would see at a bank.
She came and told me as the vision started. As she told me, the Lord allowed me to know what the vision meant. There will be an EMP. I don’t know when but we must prepare. Then the styrofoam container can be put in a metal trash can. You can fit several styrofoam containers inside. The bank door just stands for the metal container but also indicates how valuable the batteries will be after an EMP.

Good advice. With the cookie tins, you need to strip that paint and varnish around the rims -- you need metal to metal contact. With respect to computers and such, you want them unplugged from the power source -- that will be the primary transmission problem. Arthur Bradley has a good channel on EMP things. Hard to know what to expect as these problems don't occur often (thank heavens).

Almost %100 correct. I did not read all 374 comments so if this was brought up i am sorry. The mini /motor bike " baja " is made in china and also sold under the " Coleman " name. It is not EMP proof. It uses an electronic ignition system. therefore you would have to have removed the components and store in your Faraday cage. Then install after the event. The only type of ignition that will survive and EMP Is the breaker point system. I would still cage the coil. wire and spark plugs will be fine.Also have the exact tools for the reinstall.and practice doing it. good luck.

Call me crazy, but we live in Minnesota with some pretty cold weather. I got a larger garbage can for a faraday cage so that we could fit our king size electric blanket in there with our portable generator and solar panels. Warm blanket in -30 weather will feel like a godsend.

My mind automatically goes to anyone needing care in hospitals, those in skyscrapers/elevators, people in planes or at sea... It's terrifying to think of how dependent we are on so many things that are so fragile! I never thought about fires! 🤦🏾♀️ And the general American isn't prepared for discomfort much less the devastation that a large EMP would bring! Those with long commutes or traveling would never make it home again. In winter millions would just freeze.

For even better protection tape the lid all the way around the seal with aluminum foil tape. Real duck tape, not the fiber stuff. it is tape that actually looks like aluminum foil but it is sticky on one side and all metal don't get the kind that is not all metal. And make sure to put that tape on the inside seams around the handles of the garbage can and the handle on the lid . Also if there is any holes in your garbage can at all keep them up with the foil tape. I would also suggest taping the seam inside of the can.it would also be wise to take anything that you would put on a memory stick or a computer laptop and make several paper copies and keep them in a fireproof safe. As we all know you cannot trust computers or memory sticks to work even without being damaged. On that note you may also want to put a printer inside of a garbage can. You also have to ground it which means you take a wire attached to the can and drive in a metal pole into the ground at least 4 to 6 feet and then attach the wire to the ground in order for it to be properly EMP proof

When we missed that kill shot a couple of years ago and they had only hours before it missed us; the government is trying to fix the problem and doing drills.I had a friend that is a wielder for nuclear plants and was working on fixing them for grid down issues. Government is moving Complete MASH units all over the country and under ground bunkers filled with meds, food, with water. They are working on putting grounders on the electrical grid and moving cables underground where ever they can. They still are not ready and it is going to take a long time to get things fixed and ready to go. They are preserving the railways; because this is going to be our only transportation for food and supplies. They are working on train motors that work on hydrogen, solar, and kinetic energy that will pull hundreds of cars across the US. We will start to see, schools, municipal buildings with convention centers, stadiums, installing alternative energy for shelter and distribution of supplies if the grid goes down. Don't expect much though, everyone will come from miles around to get supplies, and they will run out fast; and the criminals will be there. Also, they will be requiring a chip in your hand to get supplies (mark of the beast). They will use the excuse that people are getting more supplies then they are allowed. Personally I am going to forage for my food, I live within one mile of 15,000 welfare housing units. I witnessed them when their cards would not work. They will riot, and no one will be able to keep there food. I honestly believe that it isn't a matter of if, but, when this will happen now. God bless and keep learning and keep sharing.
