I have a question, whenever I try to use the shrinkwrap modifier in project mode, It does not work at all with the auxiliary target. but it is somehow working fine without it I am using Blender 4.1 and I don't know why this is happening to me ?? If anyone can help please help.
I do think this type of thing has changed in newer versions. I'm not positive of the current workflow. So experimentation is your friend here

Great video Derek, I’ve a problem with the shrink wrap modifier when I target the 2nd plane to auxiliary target and hide the shoe seems not show that hollow/vacum shoe shape. Just the plane?

When i applied all transforms the details of the shoe becomes to big (like when you would decrease the scale of the texures) how to fix that?
Sorry I think they changed something about this operator slightly so you might need to do some experimenting first.

Derrek can i ask a question? When I'm doing the auxiliari on shringwrap the plane didn't make the shoes model its just molding a little hole
Make sure you have enough geometry!
@@DerekElliott I'm getting that same problem as well, i've tried adding A LOT of geometry but it still just makes a smaller hole of what the object's size really is. Most times, it doesn't even make an indent, it just brings the plane up but avoiding the object
@@DerekElliott i’m already did the subdivide as many like yours. Is the different between the blender version effect on this tutorial? Because mine was not updated to blender 4.0

man can you show please what add-ons do you use, maybe it's the issue? Because even on 4.0 ver I cant get the result as yours and after auxiliar on shringwrap the form of shoes disappears@@DerekElliott
The Auxiliary Target thing is not working for me ;( idk what Im doing wrong
Same goes for me too....its not working properly in 3.6 IG

@@blenderorian4999 I fixed it by changing the checkboy from "positive to negative" in the Shrinkwrap modifier, I didnt even used the Auxiliary Targed in the end.

@@subspace2275 not yet instead make video same as shown but dont create the shrink wrap bcz when the camera zoom out the shrink wrap area doesn't look much so you can avoid it
@@BATTLEGAMERYT well I actually found a solution. You have to apply transforms.

@@BATTLEGAMERYT when you add the the second plane, and set it to bounds from viewport display, select all objects and right click --> apply scale and rotation
