HI Lori, good question. The easy answer would be 12 quarts, two quarts per acre. But that would be if the sides of the pond was straight down. I would think they are tapered so there would be less volume and you may only need 10 quarts. When I add concentrated pond dye to my ponds I would use the recommended amount and wait a day or two for it to distribute in the pond. then add more until I see the aeration boils are pushing up the blue dye. I have a few articles on the website about the use of ponds dyes. This link will take you to the page and then click on the video tab. At the bottom there are links to the articles. www.whatpond.com/product/super-concentrated-pond-and-lake-dye/ Hope this helps answer your question. Darrell
Yes, Sort of like using food coloring. I have a video on another page that shows a goose bathing in one pond that is heavy on the dye and no problems. www.whatpond.com/whatponds-private-pond-supplies/super-concentrated-pond-and-lake-dye/ There are quit a few article on the site about pond dyes. Thank you for asking
Sorry for the delay, I'm sorry but not sure how much or the mix that is in food coloring, I only meant to say it is like food coloring. There is an additive to help suspended and spread the pond dye. I've used some that was in development and found it colored the pond then dissipated within a couple days. Man, I just wished I had that kind of pond
i just dug a half acre pond and its real muddy, will this clear up the water?
It will not clear the water. It will only change the appearance. Use aluminum sulphate to clear it
Is it safe for turtles and fish
