I’m running 1500w motor with a 1200w controller and 48v battery. Achieving 38mph with ease. Had to upgrade the brakes as it’s real sketchy at those speeds. Front suspension forks helped loads with stability and handling.
That's insane. Even at +30 mph, it feels sketchy. Fantastic work, the only bolt pro I've seen that can achieve +40 mph with a GPS.
This was definitely just to test the limits, so we don't expect it to last long being pushed at 40mph :). Agreed, I'm sure there are many other builds that exceed 40mph, but usually see speed photos posted from the controller display and not gps measurement.

I currently modified my Jetson Axle with a 3000 watt motor but i have to add some weight on the front because the motor is so powerful even the slightest throttle twist will cause aggressive wheelies.
I was so disappointed because now i am stuck with my Jetson Axle because Costco started selling the Jetson Haze. Thats such a beautiful design. And i really wish I saw this one first
Thanks for watching our videos! The Jetson Axle is a solid platform, but it sounds like you have quite a powerful setup. We can imagine that much torque would cause some wheelie action! Adding weight to the front is a smart move for better balance.
As for the Jetson Haze, it does have a sleek design. If only you'd seen it earlier! Don't worry though, you can still have a blast with your Axle. We hope to offer parts for the Haze soon, so stay tuned for updates!

@@Blacklisted_Garage Yes the Jetson Bolt and Axle both share the same architecture. The black frame is indeed steel; but I just love the design of the Haze. It is the best looking model out of all the other Jetson bikes. In my opinion, the Haze has that Cannondale-like aerodynamic look to it.

Thanks for your interest! However, I'm sorry to say that we've decided not to offer a motor upgrade for the Jetson Bolt Pro at the moment. After careful consideration, we found that the available motor options didn't meet our quality standards. We wouldn't want to offer a part that we don't believe will provide a long, trouble-free experience.

We pushed the setup to its limits to test our 48 volt battery and FAFO controller capabilities. Going 40 mph was a bit scary, and we don't plan to repeat it without full motorcycle riding gear and a helmet for safety. Our comfort zone is at speeds of 30 mph and below.
What’s the range with the 48v battery and the controller
There are several variables that will determine the range you'll get with the 48v battery and controller setup. Our direct plug and play 48v battery has a 9.9Ah capacity. To estimate the range accurately, you'll need to consider the wattage of the motor you plan to use, as well as the average speed you intend to ride at. These factors will play a significant role in determining the range you can expect.
Can i install the controler and battery with the stock hub motor?
Yup! Check out our other video where we run the FAFO controller with our 48v battery, we were able to reach 26mph on the stock motor.

We're glad you like the setup. However, it's important to note that the combination of our battery and the 3000W motor was primarily used to showcase the speed capabilities of our battery and controller. Our battery was originally spec'd for the stock motor and controller, but we wanted to demonstrate that it could push even faster speeds.
In reality, when powering the stock motor and controller, the battery operates at a very low duty cycle, meaning it doesn't work as hard as it did in the demonstration. We've only run about 20 miles through this setup so far, and we haven't yet run through a full battery cycle.
Based on the specifications of our battery (48V and 20A continuous output), if we were to run the battery at its full potential, it would likely only last about 30 minutes.

Oh definitely! We feel that anything over 18mph on the Bolt Pro calls for some suspension and bigger tires.
52volt is nice . We are running 2000w and 52volt on 40amp controller
We operate our other ebikes on 52 volts and love it!, but unfortunately, opting for 52V on the Bolt Pro would result in a significantly lower Ah. Our objective is to maintain the battery pack within the stock housing without necessitating extensive modifications.
Props for hitting 40mph on a Bolt Pro. If you had the stock motor, it will be closer to 25 mph. The only reliable method for figuring out your top speed is to use a GPS. Now, all you need to do is to find an Engwe T14 and swap everything from your Bolt...its out dated and T14 has full suspension, foldable, and you won't look like a dork.
Thanks for checking out the video. We actually have another video where we recorded a top speed of 26mph with the stock motor on the Bolt Pro. All our speed tests are done using GPS via smartphone on the same road for consistency. We'll keep the Engwe T14 in mind for future comparisons. Appreciate your input!
T14 looks pretty dorky..moreso than a common jetson
Link for the hub motor?
We only borrowed the hub motor for testing purposes, and we haven't used it extensively to provide recommendations. Unfortunately, we don't have a specific link for this hub motor. If you're looking for reliable hub motors, we suggest checking with the jetson bolt facebook group.
The only I’m afraid of is that handle bar lock could collapse or lossen lol
Both the folding lock and handlebar lock are features that many standard bikes lack. It's crucial to pay extra attention to these, especially when riding at higher speeds!
Its no longer an e bike at that speed youre as fast as a moped
