I think it makes sense that some of the dialogue (especially Steve's) was cut. Steve becomes more demented as the story unfolds and he copes with his strange circumstances by doing whatever it takes to get into the lodge to escape the bizarre and repulsive town that is Harvest even though what he ends up doing is even more disturbing. Still Steve addressing his completely indefensible murders defensively makes the player lose any sympathy for him and makes the story more incoherent; sure maybe the game allows Steve to murder people when he is still of somewhat sound mind and not being bossed around by mysterious Lodge members but having Steve make excuses for it in dialogue takes away the tension of Steve building up his criminal tendencies and also ruins the flow of the story. If the player wants to goof off, maybe the game will stand by but that would be just a glitch in the matrix before Steve joins the dark side properly.
In the original script, Steve’s Mom was supposed to suddenly wear a dominatrix suit after typing in “DOMINATRIX”. There was also another command that has her undressed, but they must’ve left that out for obvious reasons.
@@MoskHotel would been great of they could find Gilbert Austin and all the cast (Minus Steve actor, as he would be controversial), and do some kind of Directors cut complete with Commentary on each scene while playing. Sorta remaster version with crisper video. But I doubt it will ever happen.
Thanks for the upload! Its hard to dig in the files of games like this for a simpleton like me. The "I thought you were american" vine is 9:58 incarnate LOL And 7:00 explains a lot about the colonel
There's another keyword where you can ask Mom about Sparky: Steve: "Who's Sparky?" Mom: "Who cares about that prancing, fire hydrant-squatting sissyboy right now? Your sister's eaten a tarantula, and you're still fooling around!" Steve: "IF she's my sister..." Mom: "Enough! Go bother Hank or Stephanie, why don't you? I'm trying. To bake. Cookies!"
this game is endlessly interesting, I wonder what other secrets it may still hold, and what ideas were considered, but never implemented
Did oney send you here too
@@tylerh2370 yeah, but I've known about the game for awhile
@@necromech_ yeah I found out through vine sauce Joel few years ago
@@tylerh2370 I found out through Jobel too
Have you checked out the youtube channel Lodge Level 4? It's a great channel with tons of Harvester content.
7:20 Jesus. This guy was already uncomfortable, but this pushes it past the limits.

8:02 One of the best exchanges in the game. It grounds Pottsdam's madness way more.
You can type "DOMINATRIX" to Steve's mom, she will angrily reply she doesn't know what it means

@@MoskHotelThat was the f word that was supposed to undress Steve's mom
alot of these unused dialogue actually fill up the loopholes in the storyline
I think that was one of the issues the game suffered in the final cut.

@@MoskHotel hahahaha
That makes me think such dialogue was intended to be in the game, just that the developers forgot to actually insert it into the gameplay.
great job finding these, I had a feeling there was some stuff still missing from the game
Sheriff Duane is a very intresting character and i didnt know Mr Poddstam worked with vacuum cleaners
Thanks for this video. It seems like Harvester is an endless trove of secrets.
I know in Retsupurae's play through they did get the line about the Sheriff talking about Jimmy, but nobody else in town mentioned it
Thanks for posting, it's always fun to discover something new about this game.

Thank you for unearthing these!
Interesting, I hadn't heard any of these
Not sure but I think some of those unused dialogs are not known to the LodgeLevel4 community.
Very interesting ! I love this game ! Thanks for your video ! How did you do to extract the dialogues ?

I was wondering what other words trigger responses
Can you do Two-Face from the Arkham or Telltale games?
Hey can you find some dialogue from the evil within and resident evil 7
How do you access the files for the game? Is there some kind of program you use or something
