You have a lot of History in your collection. Dates back to the 1880'n& 1890's are a true treasure to have. Yes they are that old!! Take care of them. Love your channel.

That long stitch is wonderful. Well done. Keep dabbling with stitches in-between the chaos that is inevitable with smalls around. I didn't and I think I lost part of myself for a few years

I stitched some of these little houses and cottages way back in the 1990's. They've been lost in the mists of time so it was fun to see them again.
Another Poldark fan here, I'm on my 3rd go around with the series and just never tire of it.
You asked what the 'd' meant on your vintage pattern book. Its the old fashioned sign for penny. So that 2d means two pence, in old money. ( it changed to decimal in 1971).
Fab video, I love all your projects especially all the vintage bits you manage to pick up. I just literally laughed out loud at the way you used your say Hermione, I used to say it exactly the same! I didn’t know how to pronounce it until the Harry Potter films came out! 😂😂

Those old booklets are soo cool! You should definitely try and stitch one of the smaller charts. Your mum has a great eye!

And those old books/leaflets your mum found were awesome 🤩 We all have pronunciation mishaps I think, Hermione got me too back in the day. I can help you with your Scottish castle though - Eilean Donan is Ay-len Don-en. You weren’t far off - and it’s beautiful if you ever get the chance to visit. i really loved seeing the long stitch kits..i had quite long pause from cross stitch and was doing different things and i think i wold enjoy bit of stitching with wool..off to ebay i go to have a look

I love doing Stamped Cross Stitch. You don’t have to Count. You just make the X’s with Thread where they are at on the Pattern.

Poldark is one of my favorite shows of all time, I’ve been feeling a rewatch coming on. I’ve thought about reading the books as well but haven’t yet!

In Russian Hermione is pronounced almost like you did. So maybe you don't pronounce thing wrong, maybe you just speak a lot of languages!
Anyway, so glad I found your channel. For some reasons English flosstubers are a perfect mix of Western and Eastern cross stitch styles for me.

So happy to see you post another video, i still owe you a reply on insta (sorry 🫣) but had to comment here. I feel the struggles to find time to stitch, film, edit, post...its a lot. I meant to film this weekend too but was just braindead and couldn't. Thats ok. Anyway its so hilarious that you pronounced Hermione, just with the letters pronounced in the order they come up. Makes total sense to me. I pronounced it (in my head) the same way until i watched the movies and was like "what"? The most funny thing though is, as you continued talking about you cockerel pattern. My mind was blown as i virtually just read a book about poor cock-e-rel who forgot how to crow to my son and had that lightbulb moment of...oh, thats apparently not the way to pronounce it 😂 you would like german 😊 we pronounce things exactly as they are written 👍
Loved your video. Seeing those vintage kits took me back to a time many, many years ago when I visited the Harrogate show and one of the stands had all of the Derwentwater Designs model stitched and hanging up. They seemed way above my limited capabilities at that time being petite point and stitched over one. I do have a few in my stash and am inspired to get started on one of them.
I was a big Just Nan fan too and still have one as a long time WIP.
