They may be completely useless, but all the weird fusions are what makes me love the game so much, despite how little sense most of them make. For instance, you'd think Fiend's Mirror would be an obvious fusion of a mirror + fiend, but nope, that's Summoned Skull.
Man I wish these rituals sacrificed from your hand instead of the field. That would have made so much more sense given how you can fuse monsters normally.
If you look at the context of the rituals is actually pretty funny because for Tri-Horned Dragon you need horned monsters (like Torike) and B. Dragon Jungle King to ritual summon, Battle Steer which acts as the meat and Griggle that is basically the salad to ritual summon Hungry Burger or Kanikabuto (crab) and Catapult Turtle to ritual summon Crab Turtle. Very interesting.
DaRkNiTe It goes away after the duel he meant that he wished it would become a card you can out in your deck rather than having to ritual summon it every duel.
I've never liked Yamadron much; it's the weakest ritual monster in the game in both this game and Duelists of the Roses. In fact, in DotR, there are a couple of other ways to summon Yamadron without the ritual card, not that they make it any good, mind you
@keepitsecret-dl1pr Sengenjin and Cosmo Queen are also ritual monsters in DotR that aren't in real life, too. I kind of have to wonder why they felt the need to bulk out the ritual line up like that, but as I said in my original comment, I think Yamadron is the worst one, personally. I've seen people try to defend it, but it's arguably one of the single worst monsters in the game in my opinion

I think they are meant to be used in the very early game and thats why they are so cheap and the monsters so weak, i still found the black luster soldier summoning kinda helpful against heavy defenses like millennium shield or labyrinth wall

Many of this cards that were once only gotten through ritual became standalone cards i believe after this game came out Real life, I have gotten Cosmo Queen, Tri horn dragon, Serphant knight dragon, gamma sword, crab turtle, senjennin through booster packs
At the Endgame your Opponents have Blue Eyed Ultra Dragon and Super Powerful other Monsters that would destroy most of this ritual card Monsters. For me rituals are nice but not really helpful in the story.
@Alex Rain Aldo I mean Ultimate Dragon Ritual, not the stand alone Blue-eyes Ultimate Dragon. That card is impossible to get without hacking/cheating. Same goes for a fair few of the other ritual cards/components.
Cosmo Queen is great, and she's even better in Duelists of the Roses, being my favorite ritual monster in that game, as well as the one I personally consider to be the best!
Should give you the card permanently after you do it - say, consumes the ritual and the three cards permanently - but the card it summons you get now - and you get to keep it. Even some of the really shitty rituals would make sense then, and it'd all be pretty hype
I kinda want some of the unreleased Ritual Monsters to the actual cardgame and stuff like Gate Guardian Ritual, Ultimate Dragon etc to turn into support cards to get the respective boys out quicker with far less restriction. Perhaps Gate Guardian Ritual could let you tribute Gate Guardian Materials from the hand and deck and give it some much needed protection? Yamadron Ritual could be a spell that gets out any level 5 normal Dragon, Pyro or Beast Warrior monster from anywhere, and gets some kind of bonus when summoning Yamadron with it.
if i could remaster this game i would 1 add more cards , 2make card packs with an actuall chance of droping those unobtanable cards 3 make ritual cards work from hand or field 4 make use of magic and trap cards on the same turn ..
it seems like for all the trouble rituals are worth, if they could've bumped all these monsters up by 1000 points each, then they'd all might actually be worth the effort of getting the ritual to work. So get Chakra to 3450/3500, Dokurorider to 2900 ATK, Sengenjin to 3750, and yes, gate guardian to 4750 & blue eyes ultimate dragon to 5500. biggest key would be to make sure that no one, not even the AI would have access to ritual monsters unless they have the card.
its not really a trouble since your hand gets filled to 5 every turn so you have plenty draw power and even with 3 tributes you always have resource before or after the ritual
why do they line-up differently when the ritual starts? could that order mean you could fuse them alone to make the ritual card or the monster? mmm....
I played 200 hours without any ritual cards, I don't know how you do that... also I have the book with all code for card, some of them requieres bilions of stars... and the most possible in one battle is 6 (if I remember well)... it seems impossible, or am I missing something?

Ritual cards can be bought with star chips and are randomly between 10-1000 chips But they aren't worth it since its hard to summon them, requires a lot of luck and the fact half the ritual monsters are weaker than standalones that can be won
Ritual cards should either be given permanently (given how useless they are), or be removed completely and be included in the default fusion mechanic as a unique fusion recipe (so you just fuse them! i dont understand why they use ritual which conflicts the default fusion mechanic)
i remeber when i first started playing, i fused a bunch of random cards and i ended up making either a ritual card or an equip spell either way the only card i actually remember being in the fusion is the masked clown i hate how i cant remember the ones i used. i actually spent a long time using the very same deck and fusing random cards again trying to find it
how come the players at the time was guessing this in the forbidden? the mosters right to do the ritual ?. in the anime if I'm not mistaken, to do ritual was only to have the stars necessary to do the ritual.
Yeah, Yamadron is pretty bad for a monster that requires you to bring out and then sacrifice 3 monsters to play, and I would even argue it's worse in Duelists of the Roses. Why? Because they gave it an effect in that game to turn the terrain into normal terrain spaces, which isn't very useful since that's the only terrain in the whole game that does literally nothing
I didn't knew you were supposed to sacrifice 3 monsters as a kid, I spent so long trying to summon the whale but couldn't understand why it wasn't working, I was missing one more monster.

The only useful and worth ritual is the ultimate dragon, besides you have or not the ritual card, you still have three cards with 3000 atk. Much better then have 3 weak monsters for one "strong" ritual.
The worst part is the dark magic ritual getting it 5 stars in the maintenance story is due able but the final 4 bosses with only 5 cards each nope especially when two of them has blue eyes ultimate dragons

You need to fuse dragon treasure + megamorph for ultimate blue eyes ritual while you can just equip it to your blue eyes white dragon and get the same amount of atk. Smh
I mean, buffing a twin-headed thunder dragon with mountain, dragon treasure, megamorph and any other equip card worth the trouble than summoning a 1800 atk ritual monster
The only ritual I like and easier to perform is Cosmo Queen's Prayer. Don't have any queen? Make one by fusing female card with plant card three times, use forest and some trap so it will last longer, and boom 2900 atk ritual monster. But keeping a card alive with 1800 atk in the mid-game (especially against the mages) is almost impossible

it seems like for all the trouble rituals are worth, if they could've bumped all these monsters up by 1000 points each, then they'd all might actually be worth the effort of getting the ritual to work. So get Chakra to 3450/3500, Dokurorider to 2900 ATK, Sengenjin to 3750, and yes, gate guardian to 4750 & blue eyes ultimate dragon to 5500. biggest key would be to make sure that no one, not even the AI would have access to ritual monsters unless they have the card.
its not really a trouble since your hand gets filled to 5 every turn so you have plenty draw power and even with 3 tributes you always have resource before or after the ritual

why do they line-up differently when the ritual starts? could that order mean you could fuse them alone to make the ritual card or the monster? mmm....
I played 200 hours without any ritual cards, I don't know how you do that... also I have the book with all code for card, some of them requieres bilions of stars... and the most possible in one battle is 6 (if I remember well)... it seems impossible, or am I missing something?

But they aren't worth it since its hard to summon them, requires a lot of luck and the fact half the ritual monsters are weaker than standalones that can be won

In many ways ritual summoning is the one thing that makes more sense in the game than "real life" Yu-Gi-Oh, where you can sacrifice any old rubbish.
Ritual cards should either be given permanently (given how useless they are), or be removed completely and be included in the default fusion mechanic as a unique fusion recipe (so you just fuse them! i dont understand why they use ritual which conflicts the default fusion mechanic)

later in the game some of these are useless but early they are a god send. use to use the hell out of hamburger recipe and novox prayer
i remeber when i first started playing, i fused a bunch of random cards and i ended up making either a ritual card or an equip spell either way the only card i actually remember being in the fusion is the masked clown i hate how i cant remember the ones i used. i actually spent a long time using the very same deck and fusing random cards again trying to find it
how come the players at the time was guessing this in the forbidden? the mosters right to do the ritual ?. in the anime if I'm not mistaken, to do ritual was only to have the stars necessary to do the ritual.
This game follows the Season 0-1 of yu gi oh. The Card game wasnt the same as it now.

When i see this video. I like all the ritual except one. The most stupid monster ritual is goes to Yamadron that only ATK 1600.
Yeah, Yamadron is pretty bad for a monster that requires you to bring out and then sacrifice 3 monsters to play, and I would even argue it's worse in Duelists of the Roses. Why? Because they gave it an effect in that game to turn the terrain into normal terrain spaces, which isn't very useful since that's the only terrain in the whole game that does literally nothing
This was so cost inefficient when compared to combiniting dragons and electricity.
I didn't knew you were supposed to sacrifice 3 monsters as a kid, I spent so long trying to summon the whale but couldn't understand why it wasn't working, I was missing one more monster.
Yeah rituals in this game suck monkey sack, all we needed was twin headed thunder dragon and a F load of equipped cards lol

The only useful and worth ritual is the ultimate dragon, besides you have or not the ritual card, you still have three cards with 3000 atk. Much better then have 3 weak monsters for one "strong" ritual.

The worst part is the dark magic ritual getting it 5 stars in the maintenance story is due able but the final 4 bosses with only 5 cards each nope especially when two of them has blue eyes ultimate dragons

You need to fuse dragon treasure + megamorph for ultimate blue eyes ritual while you can just equip it to your blue eyes white dragon and get the same amount of atk. Smh
Most of the time seeing the rituals, there's only one word I kept repeating to most of it
"Useless"
I mean, buffing a twin-headed thunder dragon with mountain, dragon treasure, megamorph and any other equip card worth the trouble than summoning a 1800 atk ritual monster
The only ritual I like and easier to perform is Cosmo Queen's Prayer. Don't have any queen? Make one by fusing female card with plant card three times, use forest and some trap so it will last longer, and boom 2900 atk ritual monster.
But keeping a card alive with 1800 atk in the mid-game (especially against the mages) is almost impossible
