    The only 3 gripes that I have w/the GT2 are:
    •Horn! 🤦🏾‍♂️ It’s so bad, they need to update that via the app w/a normal loud motorcycle horn!
    •Park mode! That’s very dangerous when @ the light…it’s needs a disable button within the App! Is that fixed yet? 🤔 My Ninebot Max 🛴 shuts off like that when being idle @ the light, so I have to rock the scooter back & forth to keep it engaged.
    •Race mode! Looks like there’s no difference between the last 2 modes! Race mode should not only give you more torque….but it should also give you a faster speed such as 50mph! Race mode should be like what NOS was to Brian O’Conner in the F&F (RIP Paul Walker)!
    Other than that, Segway hit a home run….this being their 1st ever “Super Scooter!” 🛴🤙🏾

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Robb for leaving a comment. I agree with you on the horn, park mode and race mode. I haven't ridden, or updated the firmware since last year, so I can't comment if park mode has been fixed.

    It's too overpriced for the type of performance it offers though I agree it does look nice. There dualtron scooters or such like the wolf king GT pro that's about 1k cheaper but higher range and higher top speed. So no I em not buying this scooter I probably would go for the vsett super 72 , is about the same price as this GT2 or maybe the nanrobot LS7+ which is about 2k cheaper but still having higher performance.

      I had the ls7+.. it's definitely fast 2 2400 w motors.. top speed 58mph.
      But you won't go far on dual motor In turbo.. also its not built as good as the Segway gt 2.. and no puncture proof tires.. it's u stable at high speed even with a steering damper , the lighting is cool, only rear turn signals and the display is very dim in daylight., and the headlight isn't very good . The Segway is your better option it's built better. I'm getting the gt2.. the ls7+ was a waste of money

    CONS :The see through screen is horrible during a SUNNY DAY AND THE GLARE IS RIDICULOUS. The weight is hard to manage, taking it on transportation can be cumbersome. And finally the throttle, hard to control speed while flying like a rocket or off roading. I bought one but quickly returned it.

    @UtubeAdviser ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You gave a bad comparison at the 30 minute mark talking about "if you had another car with more power is equivalent to the boost mode on scooter"
    What you should have said is that the boost mode is equavilent to putting your car from drive more to sports mode which adds extra horsepower and makes your car driver faster

      It can be operated by the button on the scooter. Twist the throttle to your desired speed, and press the cruise control button on the left and it will hold the speed. See video at 13:20. If you press the button again or brake then it will stop holding the speed.

    heh I can only imagine the feedback Segway must have had about this horn for them to fix it via firmware (among the other "upgrades"). The continuous beep certainly does better work warning pedestrians.
    ....However I`ve found out that it`s surprisingly entertaining to kreep up on someone, drive slowly behind them and start pressing the horn button doing single beeps making a certain rhythm so that they think they are receiving notifications and someone is texting them making them reach for their phone :D Bonus points if they spend a lot of time going through their pockets/purse trying to find it and extra bonus points if they have groceries in both their hands and they have to stop and put them down.

    Fantastic video! I’ve been waiting forever to get a thorough review of this scooter. The only question I have is regarding the range, riding only on Eco, how far do you think you can go on this thing? Should be getting mine around August/September. Cheers!

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Christopher, thank you! It has an advertised range of 56mi (best case). That's dependent on rider weight, riding style, temp, type of road, if it's uphill/downhill, and battery charge/condition. I got less than half the range accelerating like crazy for the review and going uphill. I'd say you might get 40-50 miles on Eco mode if it's fairly flat. I hope this helps. It's really hard to say due to unknown factors.

    Horrible. At least you are wearing a helmet but it is a DOT certified motorcycle helmet at least? What's the rest of your gear like? Is it motorcycle quality armor? That's why I say horrible. This thing is a death trap. Most people won't go out and spend 500 to 1000 dollars on motorcycle quality gear to ride these toys. Kids will ride them on the street near the curb like they do for bicycles as you can't ride them in traffic lanes. That's way too close to active traffic. There are no laws requiring real gear to ride these toys, no age restrictions, no licensing, no state checks for braking equipment, no insurance if you hurt someone riding one. These are a Bad Idea all around.

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you for your comment and I understand your concerns. The gear I was wearing was my typical motorcycle gear, which includes the Arai Quantum-X (DOT and Snell 2020 rated), Alpinestars track leather suit and Sidi boots. The scooter is rated for ages 14+, and the app forces you to watch a safety video and accept a liability prior to unlocking out of the ECO mode. While I agree that someone can get their hands on it by bypassing these restrictions that could be the same for a motorized scooter or motorcycle. It would be common sense to wear protection and ride to your own abilities.

Either those two OR you are a complete ignorant. Commonsense dictates that using these high powered, high performance PEV's, a normal human being will equip themselves with the proper safety gear. I own a Dualtron X2 Up and I use my full motorcycle gear. And this is not a toy, its a mode of transportation. And there is no law that dictates what you can and cannot purchase with your own money. You should be able to install universal clamp on side mirrors, but it may get in the way of your hands. There may also be threading on the sides of the handlebars to accept threaded or an expanding type mirrors. I sold the scooter, and am not able to verify.
