    so I want a everyday e-scooter is this a good option and will it give me trouble in the future?

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's a good cheap scooter, but I've only had it for a few months. I did notice that metal seems to corrode quicker than other scooters I've reviewed, so that may be an issue if you leave it outside or use it in wet/salty locations.

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hello, yes this would be a good scooter that he can grow into. You can change the gear to limit the max speed, so it's safer until he feels more comfortable going faster.

    Also why does the charger light stay red on mine and it doesnt go green and its already fullt charged. Im starting to worry the charger is broken.

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It should turn green when fully charged. I recall the charger light being green when either plugged into the outlet without being plugged into the scooter, or plugged into the scooter and not the outlet. Try one of those to see if the light turns green.
      It's possible that the power brick is defective. One of the ones I received did not turn red when charging, and they had me buy a replacement and reimbursed me.

    • @fishycomics
      @fishycomics 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      the charger will stay red, till the battery fully charges then go green, the cycle is 4 hours if hte battery is 75% charged it will take 4 hours to charge

    Would this be a reliable scooter for a 2 mile back and forth daily commute alongside some joyriding on the side?

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I believe so, but cannot comment on the longevity of the product. It has an advertised range of up to 15mi, and you can typically expect half. 7.5 mi is more than your 2mi ride, so range should not be a concern.
      Please keep in mind that batteries wear out, and may last 1+ years depending on use and number of charges.

    • @fishycomics
      @fishycomics 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes indeed you can go 19 mph and mixed speeds with about a few miles to spare.

    Is there any way to lower the part where the red lights are like the brake lights. In the user manual the picture shows it lowered while yours is raised including mine.

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello, unfortunately I don't see a way of lowering the brake light without replacing the rear fender and extending the brake wiring.

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, if they are able to balance and have throttle control. Please also have them wear protection as it can be dangerous falling or crashing at 18mph. Thanks for the question.

      @@ColinLeung Some people at my school are saying that 19 mph is slow, and their bikes are faster, is this true?

    • @ColinLeung
      @ColinLeung  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Mr.Duck_Editzz Fast and slow is a relative term, and depends on the rider. 15 - 18mph is the typical max speed for scooters in the sub $500 range, and are adequate for a lot of riders. Yes, you can get a faster scooter that can go 30mph, but it will also cost $800+.
      Ebikes have different classes, and higher classes may be illegal to use on public roads depending on the state. Class 2 ebikes can go up to 20mph, Class 3 ebikes can go up to 28mph, and other ebikes can go even faster than that.
