On the Steam Deck, it is recommended to use a TDP limit of 7W or 8W using the Quick Access Menu as demonstrated in the video so we can obtain the best possible battery life and still stay at 60FPS on the highest settings. @@shodanargie1574 In the quick access menu part, you can see that with the Ubisoft Connect version I am using Stretch to achieve 720p. Just waiting on confirmation to see if this is the case with the Steam version.
Well done video but I will NOT be buying this on Steam at the moment. Requires Ubisoft Connect account, has DRM added, and no family sharing. Gonna get it on PS5 instead so my son and I can both play. Shame on Ubisoft for these anti-consumer practices they keep sticking with
Doesn't really make sense. You're still supporting Ubisoft no matter what platform you buy it on, and both Steam and Playstation are their own forms of DRM.
12W+ just for an unstable 60fps in this 20yo game? I'd be surprised if this wasn't so depressing how common this is in PC games I've gotten fewer watts with a perfectly stable 60 in an open world game (MGS5)

Can you test outcast a new beginning? The game received a patch this month to improve performance on steam deck.
Have you got test in 3TDP ?
I second a retest of Outcast
Random crashes on deck 😢
No way to change resolution???

Thanks for the warning. I'd recommend getting the game used on PS5 to minimize support for Ubisoft.
@@Andorski minimizing support for ubisoft would be getting the switch rom for free and emulating it lmao i did it when prince of persia came out
