Today's adventure brings us to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii for an epic foodie day! We fell in love with the Haleiwa in 2020 and could not wait to go back and explore more and try new foods. We try everything from the famous Snow Puffy, gigantic burgers at Seven Brothers, more garlic shrimp food trucks, the BEST shave ice we've ever had at Kaimana, a delicious tropical bowl at Sunrise Shack, and delicious chocolate haupia pie at Ted's Bakery. Oh, and we also went shark diving and explored Banzai Beach too! 🦈

I don’t care if people complain that you give out too many Ordinary Adventures stars, if you a made a list (or Instagram account 😏) of all your Ordinary Adventure star foods I would definitely make it a challenge to try them all! Another great vlog, makes me want to go back to Hawaii! 🤙🌺🌴
We’ve thought about doing a list but a lot of food we try is seasonal and not there all year or ever. Maybe we’ll make a list for stuff that exists all year

I find it amusing how Peter mentioned that we don't have to deal with falling coconuts in California, I had someone visit me once who wasn't from California and had never been here before, when they saw all our palm trees they asked me if they had coconuts in them. 😂 I was like, no they aren't that kind of palm tree lol!

...I’ve been putting off watching your latest Hawaii videos because Oahu is such a special place for me.
I’ve had a really rough few years and I’m very nostalgic for the island. So I was afraid of getting sad.
But you guys did it again!
Between Peter’s awesome production values, Kitra’s awesome visual story telling, the places you go to and how you guys see them, and of course the great vibes you two put out. You managed to make smile and laugh about something I thought Id be sad about. Great videos, guys!

TED’S BAKERY!!! 🤤 a necessary North Shore stop. Their bakery items, also the mini chocolate chip mac nut cookies (usually in cups by the register) are unreal 😋

I’m so impressed you found Paalaa Bakery it’s the locals go to before heading to the beach ; next time check out the store next door for their delicious crunchy fried chicken and yummy bentos to go~ half the time we don’t quite make it to the beach, we end up eating the chicken in their parking lot 😂 really enjoyed this vlog.. made me miss home ~ props to you for going in the shark cage ~ never done that and never will I’ll just enjoy the experience through you

Y’all are so inspiring! Thank you for showing us some local spots. Kitra, I kept talking about you guys to my husband when we were on a cruise recently. And when our cruise hit rough seas (13-15 feet for 24 hours), I felt terrible and nearly got sick until I remembered we bought Elemis inflammation gel from the spa. They told me to put some behind my ears if feeling seasick and sure enough, it instantly reduced my queasiness to a manageable level. One might call that a pro tip! ☺️

Hawaii local here: when I go on a boat (usually for fishing), I take Dramamine the night before. I find that I’m less drowsy than taking Dramamine the morning of. I still don’t get sick. Also, this is the first video where I didn’t know some of these places, so thank you!!!

You are so brave getting in the water with the sharks. Sorry you got sick. You were a good sport! I lived in Schofield Barracks right there in Wahiawa .. you pass right by it on your way to Haleiwa. So north shore as always a quick 20 min drive.. we would get shaved ice and go sit at the beach .. fun times and this video brought me back to those days. Thanks for sharing your Hawaiian adventure with us.

I did the Shark Diving twice with North Shore Shark Adventures... Such a fun time! I am glad you guys did it!
Was it as wavy when you did it?
@@OrdinaryAdventures The first time I did it, they actually had to keep the cage attached to the boat cause the water was way to rough. The 2nd time I did it, they canceled my original trip cause the waves were like a 8/10, but the make up trip a day or so later was perfect weather. I did see a few people getting sick on the way out, and I think someone got sick in the cage while I was waiting my turn.

The footage of the sharks was so surreal looking. Just pure blue, with the sharks moving around in the foreground. It almost looks like bluescreen footage. I couldn't do it tho. Being stuck out there while sea sick would ruin the entire experience for me. I'm so glad I got to see the video of it at least!

Yum!!! That Chocolate Haupia pie is our favorite. We haven’t even considered trying other flavors but will need to try the Pineapple Mac Nut cheesecake next time. So happy you included that on your Hawaiian adventure. It’s amazing how much you have been able to pack in on this trip and we are loving every minute. Also, we are telling friends and family to stop reading guide books and just follow your channel. 😊

So I know you guys did this months ago and may not even see this, but I booked a tour out of Hale'iwa this last week because of your video and I had to come tell you our insane story 😂. The first group of our tour had all just gotten in and I was trying to situate myself to the bottom of the cage when it started to shake a lot. Well, it turns out one of the sharks came at us full steam, broke the plexiglass window on the cage and got itself wedged in the window frame. When I moved to see what the chaos was, I was face to face with the shark and it managed to unwedge, swim between my legs, thrashed a bit more (its tail was between my son's legs, he said he got hit 18+ times) and finally freed itself through the bottom bars. By the time I realized that it was actually happening, it was over, but I have bruises and scars from the whole ordeal, lol. We have no idea why the shark was swimming at us full speed like that, but holy crap on a cracker it was insane!

the fruit cream pies at ted's like lilikoi and blueberry are incredible. they used to have them at markets around the island like foodland, but unfortunately no longer. you have to go to the north shore to get pies!
