I agree with all of the comments here. Canon should be ashamed of the horrible instructions they have provided. I am a pretty tech savvy guy myself, and those directions even confused me. Thank goodness for everyday people willing to make these videos!
I CANNOT Thank you enough. Am a nearly retired single Canadian ranching woman… and had absolutely no way to have a level playing field with the accountants and lawyers in a distant city that this computer newby must deal with.
The $79. Walmart machine was reluctant to connect with slow rural wifi router etc… hours of pain… had it back in its box when your video started playing … next in line.. after all the reset videos.
Good work MAN ! And yup I do enjoy the new horizons as I plan to join my distant kids who work in the cities.

THANK YOU! The instructions with the printer were absolutely worthless. I actually contacted Amazon to return the printer. On a whim, I Googled "canon pixma connect wi-fi" and your video popped up! After i connected my printer to the wi-fi, all I had to do was select 'add a printer' on my computer device settings and VOILA! I can print again. Thank you!
I was having issues connecting my printer the way ALL the instructions suggested I tried on many devices for a couple hours. Then I decided to watch your video and now I will only use the Wifi direct method from now on. You deserve a gold medal. Shame on Cannon for not suggesting this method from the beginning, or even including a simple explanation of it in their useless instruction manual.

Thank you. Ughhh hate printers and how difficult they can be. I got a new router and password and boy did it make my life complicated. I could not put in the new password it just wouldn't let me plus my wifi has been trash, so this really helped me !!!!!

This guy's instructions were just fine if you want to use your smart phone ... now how about us archaic old folk who don't have smart phones ... we just want to know how to scan documents on our computer ....

I bought this printer th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 to replace an aging HP printer. It is just used for casual home printing so I don't need anything more. Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi

how do you print using a PC, all your videos are using a smartphone. Do you have videos showing how to use the printer wirelessly via PC?
John, if your printer and computer are on the same wireless network, it is easy! All I needed to do was open a document on my computer (it's a PC) and print it. When the print window opened, there is a drop down menu to choose the printer. Select 'add a printer' and your computer searches the wi-fi network for a printer. Once it finds the Canon, select it and the computer will upload the drivers from the printer. It took about 4 minutes. Hope this helps!
