I liked the Drake NY. He was fantastic, regardless of which mouthpiece but as a player it seemed to me like it was one of the more comfortable playing and sounding mouthpiece.
I really like the Retro Revival Eric Marienthal, for me it is very surprising to hear a mouthpiece with such a large step baffle that sounds so lush and so full. The way the mouthpiece responds to your articulation is also very clean and precise. Not far behind are the 10mFan and the Navarro.
Over all tonal concept really like the Navarro. It just seems to have something that the others are lacking. Nice center to it and great core sound. All the pieces really sound great but Navarro for the win for me
RR Marienthal 8=0.110 sounds really good to my ears. It's the warmth that stands out - a contemporary sound with fullness and no sacrifice of mids or highs. (FYI, I don't endorse these pieces, just honest feedback from my ears.)
Thank you. It’s a great piece and for me really comfortably to play. I find for hard bop it’s a little to less “fat” sounding but if one only plays modern styles it’s perfect.
@@HenrikGadMusic 👍 yeah, agreed. i heard it again over pro monitors and you’re right - sound is ‘fat’ but still on the brighter side for contemporary playing
You played them, well what did you feel from each mouthpiece? Playing a tune is great, but how about 3 octave scales? How about some intervals to see which respond better? How about some notes randomly tuned? Lets hear a chromatic and see which mpc is clearner, you can hear the individual notes moving fast. Not only do you not give how they felt, you left everyone wondering which ones you like and didn't like . I was expecting more out of this comparison of masterfully make mouthpieces. Very poorly presented.
John, sorry to burst your bubble but you aren't the youtube review police. If you bothered to look at the title, its mouthpiece fun. Nowhere does it say review anywhere. If you don't like it, move on. Quit the needless whining and complaining.
The Retro Mouthpiece sounded the most fun.
It is fun, and if I only would have played modern style of jazz it would be my main pice but now the Gotsu Sepia Jazz is my main piece instead
I keep hearing the Gottsu jazz...nice...
The Retro Revival has it all

Yep, my ears heard the same thing my friend. RR Marienthal connects with me the most out of the lot.
The RR are a nice mouthpiece in the modern range and a thrill to play, I like it much more then any guardala copy I have played
Drake NYJ- looked really comfortable playing this--super playing
Sounds great!
Excellent Demo! Your mic setup and music selection made it easy to actually hear some differences.
What a great demo Henrik!! greetings from Germany :D
Thank you 😃
bravo Enrico suoni da Dio😄
"I feel like it sounds similar to Jody Jazz HR. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is my first impression when I hear this tone."
Me encanta. Las boquillas metálicas
Nice Sound! Are you related to Erik Gad?
For me, it's a tie between the Eric Retro and the Navarro. Both big sound with nice crispness and easy expressiveness. Also, Gad is a great player! 👍🎵

Thanks for the input 🙏🙂
navarro and 10mfan cameleon is very good after metal eric retro

Pick one mouthpiece and make it your regular mouthpiece.
Absolutely!
I wish I had learned that a long time ago. The mouthpiece hunt is a talent killer. It wastes too much of your time
That’s true
You sound the best on 10mfan
Mr. Henrik Gad is probably one of the baddest tenor players of today.
tone wise - I am torn between the Gottsu and the Morgan Fry piece. Fab demo - thanks.
I am playing the Gotsu as my main piece since some month and really liking it.
You sound great Henrik! Just wondering if you have ever reviewed an Otto Link 8 mouthpiece?
Thank you! I have a EB 8 that has been “fixed up” by Morgan Fry. I will put it in the line up for next time.
What ligature with the was that you used with the Gottsu Jazz Metal?
Where can I buy this mic?
Marienthal, Drake, 10M Fan seemed best to me. The marble piece seemed like a struggle
like the 10mfan most..interestingly i don´t like the RR .... thanks a lot you have a great sound on all of these pieces
❤❤❤

Bring your complaints to the Complaints Bureau. They care
