Check out some TH-cam videos that's how I learned. If you know how to make the elephant sound by pressing your lips together and blowing out the air, that's basically how you blow into the shophar and believe it or not you will hear an amazing sound. Enjoy!

I bought them to aid me in getting closer to Daddy God and to help break free from the strongholds that have bound me for the past 60+ yrs. I know that the playing of the Shofar breaks into heaven and draws His attention, which is what I both need and want. One day, I pray I’m making beautiful music to Him as you just did. I found your channel because I just received a shofar that I ordered in the mail. It just arrived today. And when I tried to blow through it. It smelled so bad, I was like there has to be something that I can do to get rid of the smell. When I was a kid someone gave my parents a shofar. I tried to make sound through it. I started to panic because I couldn't make a trumpet noise. And today when I tried to make a trumpet noise. I could only blow air through it. But that panic feeling came back of doubting myself if I am actually ever going to be able to make sound through it. But I will look at videos and ask for God's help to teach me how to make sound. But first I need to get rid of the smell. Found this video hugely helpful for the proper maintenance on the shofar. Can you do more videos please. Of course as God leads.

And I still feel compelled to use it some how. But like you said there are times when it is inappropriate to play it. But at night when everyone in the house is sleeping I can blow air into quietly. And everyone that is anle to sleep will be able to sleep in peace.

I am not Jewish but have been learning and doing as Yeshua is directing me. I need to know where to and what to get such as the charcoal or any other items for the Feasts. Please help by putting links. incense, oils, decor, candles, incense burners. Anything that anyone can help me with. We are in the Fall Feasts. Shalom. Forgive me if this sounds critical in nature, but have you had the conversation about "anointing" the shofar with the oil and frankincense with a rabbi? I was under the impression that only Levites or Kohanim (sp?) could anoint with anointing oil? Thanks for the video. Do you think it's a good idea to clean the shofar when it is brand new? I have been blowing the ram horn for a while but recently switched to the kudu. The mouth piece is slightly different. But the sound is just... Idk. Kind of dull.

I have been called to sound the Alarm, i felt that i could not do, but the Holy Spirit kept speaking to me telling me that i am just the vessel and it is the LORD who speaks through me. This shofar is big enough to clean in a bathtub! You probably won’t find a bristle brush that is both long enough and flexible enough to scrub the interior, so a piece of a clean, soft old sheet would work as a swab, being long enough and if cut sensibly to a long narrow rectangle, can be pulled through after back and forth rubbing. Any cleaning solution and other treatment can be applied the same way

I bought a Shofar in Detroit at a Jewish shop. There is a very pungent odor. Is the smell from bacteria? Would this process take care of it? Thank you for all of your insight! (40in semi finished Kudu)
The natural odor of a shofar is very musky. I have found this process works very well for me, not to mention any bacteria, mold, etc. that may be present won’t stand a chance;) then in time when you notice the musky odor returning is when you repeat the frankincense resin part of the video. @@koladonai3408 its okay. i used liquid detergent and then after dried, i rub it with pure olive oil for skin (not for cooking for better moisturizer). i kept it in its cover with one bag of silica gel. it worked out just fine. thankyou 😊
Is your shofar polished or natural? Does it matter using Thieves cleaner on polished shofars since the lemon oil in Thieves cleaner can strip off polish? Also can you annoint polished shofars or only unpolished shofars? I'm about to purchase a shofar and am not sure if I can clean a polished shofar with Thieves cleaner and annoint with oil?

To clean 4 cups of water and add shofar clean solution that I did not understand the name of it. But do twice and twice a year. She anointed with virgin olive oil and essential oil. She said to just love on it as you rub the oils in I don’t remember the name of essential oil. Hopefully someone can add the name and what I have missed. And add the ending with the incense. I hope this does a translation for you as yours in Spanish did for me. 😊

It’s called press and seal...most grocery stores carry it. I get mine at Kroger:)
