The original is 1000% better. God thanks I know Russian fluently (C2) . I hate the English version,I watched it just for fun to see how the voices are.Elijah voice is supposed to be kind of high.
So a bit of info for international viewers. The name of the ghost is not Elijah, but Olezha. Thats a form of the name Oleg. So transforming Olezha to Elijah is fun, but I personally think, that Olezha should have been kept. Also Dmitry is more often called Dima. For example Dmitry no Dmitry yes, has a form of Dima net Dima da and so on. And he is also called not kebab, but shashlyk(a tatar meat fried on a skewer)
I love this show already. Very well written, and I adore the worldbuilding with the ghosts. I am a sucker for color symbolism, so I love that the color of the ghosts were actually given meaning. Awesome show!

I've been writing a story of my own that is very similar to MSS. I discovered MSS way after I already had developed my story. My reaction was a resounding " DAMNIT!" and then approximately 24 hours of sulking before being too curious and watching. I like it and I can't wait for more episodes.
I don’t know if this series came from an old Russian cartoon pilot (but it was only in Russian dub) I’ve seen with Metal Family years ago but I’m so glad to find another Russian web cartoon being produced! Another reason to go back into learning Russian again. ❤
Man, I really like this project! People need to see this more. I really like the idea of colors of ghosts and the characters have actual personality, and it’s just so smooth in the animation! Love it
I want to thank everyone. The authors for a great project, the animators, voice actors and translators, because the work with accents, speech production and puns is so well done, and most importantly retains the atmosphere of the original.

And these names. While creators keep the voice of metro to maintain the Russian atmosphere, they changed names. For some purpose. Listen, it's just strange to watch Dmitri and Elijah's adventures. I understand that Anton and Yulia were replaced with Antony and Jules because that is how they are pronounced in English. But still there is Nyura. And why was Ivan changed for Johny? As for me, this "sometimes yes sometimes no" changes breaks the atmosphere.
Agreed. I'm okay with the idea of changing names a bit so it would be easier for English native speakers to pronounce them but the replacement just doesn't make any sense As Phoenix Studio said before, one of their goal is to show people from around the world what Russian culture really is

The fact that names have the same origin doesn't mean that they can be easily replaced with each other. The reason why they did replace Ivan is may be the meaning too. In Russia we have Ivan Ivanov as the common guy, and in English it's John. So Ivan may have been replaced with John to emphasise that he was just a usual man?.. It's still a strange decision. Because while the meaning remains the same, cultural atmosphere and contest changes a bit...

And I don't think it would be hard to pronounce "Oleża" they have "ż" sound like in "measure". The two words even rhyme. Also I think Americans would like to see less popular names. Plus I think story behind the name is exhilarating. Two parents argued what name they should give to their child and in the end it was a clerk who decided and it wasn't a name any of the parents wanted.
What if someone died of cancer, drug overdose, mauled by a tiger, heroic sacrifice, fatal infection, or a scarf caught in a car’s engine? What would a ghost look like if someone got their tie or scarf caught in a paper shredder?😺👻
The English dub is great! It’s better than most dubs out there, i didnt even know the series was originally Russian, great job to everyone who worked on this, also you reached Asia!
The animation was hella smooth this episode! Good job guys! I also liked the intro type scene with the 3D corridors it felt like the type of thing you'd see in early 2000's cartoons, really cool.

The animation is so beautiful and truly amazing! I love the use of 3d in the opening theme song… the voice acting is pretty well done and the story made me cry a littl… however even tho there are some good parts to it there are some parts that i feel like need improving… while i did say the 3d is good i feel like it can use abit of work…. And idk if its me but theres parts of the dialogue that sound kinda weird when lip synced in English… although i can forgive it considering it was a cartoon made in russia… anyway keep up the good work! I hope your series gets more popularity 😊

How did the conductor die? Like yes he died of poison but what poisoned him? And from the sounds of it the specific shade of color a ghost is plays a role not just what color they are. The lady ghost explains the blue means murder but she's in the middle of explaining why him being sky blue is important before he goes into his panic attack. Do the colors mix together? For instance suicide is white and poison is green but maybe light green means the poison was self inflicted. This is just a really cool concept and I'm trying to figure out what the shades of the colors mean.
