- In this video, I change the engine oil and oil filter, using the vacuum pump (Pela) extraction method which is quick, clean and efficient.
This OM642 engine is used in a variety of cars including the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
I use a MANN filter and Quantum 5W 30 engine oil from the Volkswagen group.

Absolutely cracking video. I have a Jeep KJ 3.7 V6 Petrol. Would love to do more of the work on it myself. Your clear, simple videos shows that jobs needn't be stressful or messy. Will subscribe and look out for more!
Thank you very much for the compliment. Lots more to come with my current fleet!
I'v never heard of a Pela pump, But I think I'le invest in one, Thanks, 🙂 Great video
Nice thorough job, take your time, do it right.
Have 06 3,0 CRD
Don't really like the look of how the oilfilter looks after a the regular maintenance schedule. And I don't have money to spend on the high quality 10l twice as often. So what I do is just changing the filter midway :-)
Can't you do a video where you install a oil pressure gauge. That's something I miss and would give me peace of mind.
I REALLY ENJOY YOUR CHANNEL. YOU MAKE IT SO SO EASY.
COULD YOU DO A (MAP) SENSOR (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR) LOCATION PLEASE. I CAN'T FIND IT ON MY CAR. 2005 3.0L TURBO DIESEL. J.G.CHEROKEE. THANK YOU.

I have jeep chorkee but it’s have check engine sine plz slove my problem
It could be absolutely anything. It would need to be plugged in for diagnostics.
Turn on the instrument panel (don’t turn the car on) three times quickly (wait 1s between) and it should show the engine codes
