I would definitely rearranged the sectional to free up the window area and placed the Christmas tree in front of the window in living room; maybe to kick out those 2 white chairs for the sectional. Of course it’s not my choice, but your decor looks nice regardless 🎄🎄🎄
Sometimes a little color makes a huge statement and I’m so glad Savannah requested color. Your home is so lovely and I feel that with the addition of the luxe touches and color, it came to life for the holidays. Love the deeper red choice and the best was Rudolph at the end. Simply elegant with a traditional touch.
And please keep the color up. My mother put up all white decorations and my 7 year old son (at the time) told his gramma that it was boring. Let Savanna have her color the whole Christmas time.
@@ahooten1955 I agree. I don't mean this in a mean way, but it's not all about her. There are other members in the household. And her daughter asked especially to do it.
I bet by Thanksgiving that her black decorations from last year are up after the "itch to switch" I guess in somevvways I do mean to be mean. I'm surprised that she allow Savanah to wear colors.

When we first moved to the country all of our Christmas decorations were put in our storage shed. Two years ago I moved everything into large storage totes indoors. This will be the first tree we have had in four years…My mom passed two days before Christmas, then my daughter had a very aggressive form of breast cancer. So the last few years I have truly struggled. I’m determined to decorate for this year and we use live trees. Happily we have two beautiful ones right outside of the house here! Beautiful stout trees, I believe they are blue spruce maybe. You have given me the motivation to decide to decorate and move past my personal struggles. I just need to indulge in more self care and plan to do this for my husband and myself. Your home is absolutely beautiful! ❤

First time viewer ... and when I saw all this white, I thought.. this is not for me. Then you said Savannah, which I assume is your daughter requested a traditional Christmas look, I stayed to see what you would do. I just wanted to reach in and hug George! He is so adorable! Like you, I am obsessed with little trees everywhere. They are my addiction for sure. As for dimension under the tree, I use small toss pillows , then put the skirt or throw over them. The gold bells and candle lights really took the tree to a new level! Watching Savannah arrange the shelves was really impressive. She definitely has a sense of balance and visual weight when decorating, And the red pillows totally warm up the whole space! And Rudolphs red nose is a visionary at work!!!!

I would certainly miss the tree in my living room. While I like neutrals, I just feel a home needs some color for a pop of life and to an otherwise drab home. Love it !

I want to cry seeing your grown up little girl. My grandmother heart can't hardly handle it. My junior in college in college granddaughter does the same thing when I see her. She is my youngest grandchild. They grow so fast!!!
I have more than 1 tree. My house is only 1 floor and 1720 sq ft. but I have medium size trees. 1 in dining room, the main tree is in the living room. I have a small one in the guest bathroom and another one in my bedroom. My 2 girls have their own small tree as well. I get them new ornaments every year when I start decorating for Winter. I also decorate a lot w Wintery decor so it stays up a little longer after Christmas. My main tree is decorating with all the ornaments my kids have made these 23 years along with ornaments that mean something to us. Decorating for a Christmas is my favorite thing. Your house looks beautiful.

It warmed my heart so much watching you all as a family decorate for Christmas. When my kids were all home, we would do the same thing but now we are empty nesters. I absolutely love those red pillows, they look like they are super elegant with that fabric. So so beautiful! Everything looks so lovely and I love the bits of color. It looks wonderful. I am glad your daughter asked for the traditional colors. She is growing up so fast and when you count the years it won't be long and she'll be off to college perhaps and so it's wonderful she can engage in her love of the other colors as well. This is our third year in our new home and I'm still struggling with Christmas tree placement. My solution? Buy yet another tree, lol.
So, one in the living room, one in the great room and one at the stop of the basement stairs.
It's a challenge every year............your comments about not having to repeat what you did last year was very helpful. I tend to find what I like and do it over and over..............trying to change some things up this year!

It was beautiful to see your family decorate together. I am starting to decorate today as well with my 5 yr old daughter. 2 years ago I started putting out the indoor Christmas decorations after Halloween and it has cut down the stress and rushing around the holidays. It goes by so fast and now we can enjoy Christmas a little longer ❤

I put the hardwood floor slider pads on my Christmas tree stand. If it needs to be moved its easy to do and won’t harm your floors😊. Everything looks beautiful and festive!
Loving the little touches of red. I am like you I do whites and golds and glam but this year I just added a pop of red in my pillows for Christmas. I do have the top part of my walls painted dewberry. As a retired designer I know that color is not popular with most people but I love it. Every time I think I will paint them white the wall color just gives me such a cozy filling. Your home is looking lovely and Rudolph is adorable.
